The De La Salle University Pops Orchestra, the first ever "pop" orchestra in the Philippines just came back from a very successful Cebu-Negros Goodwill concert tour last Sept. 7-14, 2000.
The Cebu concert was entitled "Rektikano", a musical celebration of the youth. This was organized and presented by the De La Salle Alumni Association-Cebu Chapter led by La Salle Alumnus Chito Cusi.
The Bacolod concert entitled "Feel the Energy" was held at the University of St. La Salle (USLS)Coliseum in Bacolod City and was attended by over 9,000 people. Afterwards the group also played for the people of Silay City and Victorias. Members of the DLSU Pops Orchestra thanked USLS President Brother Gus Boquer FSC for making the Negros tour possible.
