Romania,Hungary at Poland.

Medyo nakakaintindi ako ng Dutch, kasi halos pareho din ng Deutsch iba nga lang ang pagkakasulat ng spelling, like what you wrote Guiido.

woont iemand hier ook in nederland?

In German:

wohnt jemand hier auch in Niederlanden?

In English:

Is there anyone living here in Netherland?

In German:

Ich wohne mitten von Niederlande-Utrecht

In English

I am living here in the middle of Netherland

But that time, employed pa ako kaya I need to go back again in Pinas, then I filed my resignation. After a week, preparing all my papers needed if ever I marry someone in Germany (na talagang balak ko,para makaalis na sa poder of my parents ,na masyadong strikto, walang layang magkabf sa Pinas),balik ulit ako sa sister ko,using again the rest of my visa.sarili kong gastos ang plane ticket. While staying with my sister's flat,I met my ex hubby.

hola!

you can inquire at Instituto Cervantes de Manila. sometimes they offer scholarships/grants to study in Spain. likewise, they have flyers/brochures of language courses in the different universities in Madrid, Salamanca or Valencia which you can scan through.

hi,

i have an opportunity on london and geneva, can someone advise me which is a better place...in terms of long-term plans...7-12 yrs...with a family...

i've heard na expensive in london but they said that geneva is more expensive...however, geneva has a higher paying salary...

thanks..

consider the following:

1. geneva is french-speaking
2. switzerland has lower tax rates (one of the lowest in the world)
3. cost of living in geneva is very high (even compared to other swiss cities) - but a lot of people working in geneva live in france and cross the border everyday coz cost of living in France is a bit cheaper and geneva is on the border of france and switzerland (both countries even share the geneva int'l airport)
4. switzerland has better social services
5. switzerland is in the mainland

add ko pa Limp:

Switzerland has a lowest rate of criminality unlike London.

Switzerland has the lowest rate of unemployed.

..and of course, very clean ang bansang ito.may pagkaclassy ang dating.

Tru the help of my company where I worked before. Mahigit na akong 20 years dito.

depende sa field mo. science & tech, german is useful and dun maraming openings for IT, robotics, etc. madami din S&T scholarships sa germany.

kung law and social sciences - french. halos lahat ng int'l orgs ay french, english, and spanish ang official languages and sually required ang proficiency in at least 2. tsaka a lot of these int'l orgs are based in the french-speaking region (belgium, switz, france)

bago pa lang ako sa france, two months pa lang...used to live in germany, italy, and austria (palipat-lipat).

places i've been to - paris, cote d'azur region (nice, monaco, cannes), marseille, strasbourg, annecy, and my little city lyon. summer karamihan ng travels ko to these places kaya they look good (cote d'azur is a popular summer destination).

dunno what to suggest...every city in france is beautiful. mont saint michelle in bretagne is very popular. malapit lang yon sa paris.

may fete de lumiere sa lyon next week (siksikan coz it's a very popular festival). the whole city lights up in different colors.

kelan ba biyahe nyo?

me kilala kayo sa dusseldorf where you can stay?

kasi, if in that area of germany, Koln (Cologne) is the most beautiful city (in my opinion) and hamburg (up north, 2-3 hrs from dusseldorf). It's also very close to Eindhoven (The Netherlands). duesseldorf is more on fashion, shopping, etc. if you haven't been to berlin, best that you go there - it's the best! (a lot of popular hollywood stars have adopted a second residence in berlin coz para syang blend ng america ang europe.

haven't been to disney in paris but i heeard it's not that popular (coz madaming tunay na castles in europe ).

I am residing in the near from Nurnberg. Then the sweeties like Marzipan and "gebratene mandel" meaning roasted almond at ang "marone",kastanyas sa atin ang tawag.

no work experience, and then to work as a lawyer or finance employee - under normal circumstances - 99% No. 1% - swerte. speaking of continental western europe here. di ko alam sa eastern bloc. baka sa georgia-armenia-azerbija area pwede, coz me kilala akong lawyer from georgia, he's only 22 yrs old and head na sya ng international law department ng foreign ministry nila.

most of their professionals kasi are russians and chose to go back to moscow when the soviet union split up kaya young ang kanilang government officials ay mga bata (defense minister is 28 yrs old, president is 37 yrs old).

very slim chance. continental europeans within the 20-40 age range speak at least 2 languages. and you don't expect any company here where they speak english at work, except international organizations, which, unfortunately, usually require you to be bilingual. take into consideration pa that we are not native speakers of english, kaya even for jobs for english-speaking people, hindi tayo preferred.

if possible, what would be the best way for me to obtain a residency/job permit?!

any valid reason to stay - work, studies, marriage, adoption, to cohabit with an immediate family member who is a permanent resident/citizen, business (those 5, basically, are the only ways). katakot-takot na documentation ang kelangan, and even with complete documents, hindi ka pa rin assured na magka-visa.

sa mainland europe, always remember that our so-called "english advantage" doesn't count a lot. ito lang siguro ang region in the world where our 'english pride' is not valuable. kasi, people here, asar sila sa mga ingglesero (americans, especially).

there's even a move now to require language proficiency before you can acquire a long-term visa (austria and germany strongly push for this and French presidency of the EU seems to be open to this idea). na-iinis kasi sila sa ibang immigrants na kahit 10 years na dito, di pa rin marunong ng local language dito and they become a burden to the government because of their limited employability.

(pwera yabang but after a few months of self-study and 2 months of actual residence in france, mas magaling pa ako mag-french compared to other immigrants who have been here for more than 5 years - notoriously, americans and australians)

good to try it though, coz it's something very german.

Ooh so ill take german class then. sa IT field ako ngayon programming. pero im not passionate with it. Im more into craft kasi eh dun ako nag eexcel. Thanks limp for your help thanks. :)

kung IT ka, i suggest french (wag mo akong sisihin ha, suggestion lang ito). madami kasing europe-based int'l orgs. na nangangailangan ng IT people pero bilingual dapat (any of these -french, english, spanish - usually). mas malakas ang chances sa int'l orgs coz they strictly observe the 'fair opportunity' rule and they want their staff to be as diverse as possible (nationality-wise).

kung private sector kasi, slimmer ang chances coz may EU directive on preference for EU citizens.

Depende sa place kung saan ka magstay.

Munich is too expensive ng standard ng buhay, from apartment to basic necessities.

Ilang year ka magstay dyan?

^i occasionally go to dusseldorf to visit a good friend in Weeze (a town next to dusseldorf). there's an airport in Weeze from where you can fly to a lot of places in europe for as low as 15EUR.

i suggest mag-bike ka dude, cool naman mag-bike sa germany e, and hindi mainit kaya di ka rin papawisan. tsaka may bike lanes kaya safe ka. second-hand bikes can cost you around 50EUR.

i like that area in germany. magkakalapit lang ang dusseldorf and cologne and eindhoven (holland). duesseldorf is not that expensive (compared to bigger cities like berlin, hamburg, frankfurt and munich).

help guys. may mga questions ako pls. hope you guys can enlighten me.

1. i am planning to go to scandinavia, specifically dk by april under a schengen tourist visa. i am planning to stay for 3 months. magkano ba ang safe bet na amount sa bank statement ko para sa show money considering that i have free accomodation for my whole stay when i get there?

2. is it better to declare that i am visiting a fiance or would it hurt my chances of getting a visa? naisip ko lang that it might be taken against me since i have no close familiar ties in manila. i am single living in singapore and is unemployed at the moment. baka isipin nila na may tendency na magoverstay ako. or praning lang ata ako.

2. so the main purpose of my travel is to visit my boyfriend there to see how things are in his place and we have considered marrying in DK. would marrying him entitle me to stay there longer than what my visa requires me to? what are the consequences of me marrying him in DK while i am under a tourist visa?

I love Greece, especially the Greek Islands. There's something magical about the islands there.

hi, im also in Geneva!
i am studying french in ifage (www.ifage.ch). It's very ideal school especially for beginners. They offer classes in various colleges or universities in Geneva.

They have classes for twice per week in the evening for a stretch of three months. I have first enrolled myself to DELF A1 Trimester course for around 500 CHF.

Good luck ! :-)

I will be in Barcelona this May 31 to June 2 for the first time. Any hotel recomendations and places to see and do for such a short visit? Salamat sa maitutulong.

hi Loloted..
i have few recommendations but most of them you can find here in www.hostelworld.com or www.booking.com , those are two reliable sites i always use for my hotel/hostel booking in europe.

i hope you enjoy your stay in europe, just in time, i will also be in BCN this june 13-15 for a weekend trip. :-)

hello pinoys in europe! dream ko talaga maka-punta sa europe lalo na sa paris so i have a some questions. how much should i set aside / save for my trip to paris? since wala akong kamag-anak jan, i plan on taking the trafalgar's Highlights of France (http://www.trafalgar.com/GSA/DisplayTour?TourID=8225&RegionID=0&CountryID=15&TypeID=3&Keywords=&LengthID=2&BudgetID=32&TimeID=36&BrochureTypeID=42&Detail=2) package tour.

My question is ---- how much pocket money should I bring? I have no intention of shopping in France yung mga souveneirs lang tsaka basic necessities tsaka syempre gusto tikman lahat ng pagkain nila at kung ano-anong restaurant. So if you could give me an estimate of how much cash I should bring that would be great. Also, should I bring cash? or should I avail of those traveler's checks or those travelers card I see on tv commercials.

orangepink, it's better not bring any money, instead use credit cards as they are safer. Pickpocketing is always an issue in big cities. Does your Philippine bank debit cards (with Maestro and Visa) work with European banks? You can check this with your bank. You just withdraw money from an ATM here, otherwise travelers checks would be good as they are insured. Anything else than cash will always be safer.

Low Budget - EUR 20 to 30 per day
Medium Budget - EUR 40 to 50 per day
High Budget - EUR 70 and up per day
*not including hotel, excursions and museum entrances

orangepink, I just saw the itinerary and I'm like - oh dear, such a tight schedule! you will be on the road most of the time here and you do not really have much time to spend in 1 place. can you not just do paris and then do 2 single day side tours nearby?

Sorry for not acknowledging your recommendations earlier, just got home 2 days ago from a wonderful long EU vacation. We had a blast in Barcelona. I booked in two different hotels on different days. The one at the Ramblas was disappointing. I would'nt recommend it to anybody although the location was great, right in the middle of the action, so to speak.
Thank you and enjoy your trip in BCN.

Hello po!

Anybody from FINLAND?

I am hoping to go to Finland by end of November. I will be travelling alone pero may imimeet ako dun. I don't want to depend this trip on him so I still consider this as my solo trip. Would it be safe for me? I know it is a big risk but what are the things that I have to consider?

Approximately, magkano ang daily budget ko for my needs like food, water, and transpo.

Yung accesible by train and safe for a girl like me also.

I would really appreciate any reply. Thanks in advance.
