As of press time the Faculty of Engineering is celebrating the twin-kill of two electrical engineering majors for landing No.1&No.2 respectively with the dept. registering the best passing average of all schools with 94%!


This after Thomasian also Landed No.1 in the following fields:

1.Medicine
2.Nursing
3.Medical Technology
4.Occupational theraphy
5.Physical theraphy
6.Chemistry
7.Biochemistry

UST-Engineering together with UP Diliman,DLSU shares the best engineering programs..DLSU still hold the record number of Centers of Excellence,with UP diliman as second and us as third!

UST Faculty of Engineering dream is to elevate all its engineering programs as CoE's, as of press time ALL UST's programs were declared either CoE or Centers of Development(CoD)!with ECE leading the pact as Centers of Excellence,(together withDLSU!)Chemical,Electrical,Industrial,Civil&Mechanical were all declared Centers of Development by CHED!..UST is one of only three engineering schools accredited at this level,the two being DLSU and UP Diliman!

If you have the chance visit the Roque Ruano Bldg. and you be the judge, UST had invested a lot of money on purchasing the newest equipment available in almost every fields specially ECE&Chemical Eng'g, you can also noticed that All Majors now have their own Multi-media room in cooperation with ED-Tech, super brand new lahat ng facilities and engineering students can really feel that they are cared for!..as you may know engineering is the first college in UST to aircondition all its room,the first college to implement departmentalized exams, and most of all one of UST's Faculty that can boast of a solid faculty line up, almost all of the profs here have masterals&phd's...thanks to former dean &Philippine Association of Technical Educator (PATE) President Dean Alberto Laurito, our dream had materialized into a BIG REALITY!..

Current Dean Mabini, is giving her best to continue the legacy and add upon the gains of the faculty and i commend her because so far shes doing a great job!

Engineering is something thomasians can be proud of!, for the 90's saw a lot of topnotchers from our faculty, and most essential of all the PASSING PERCENTAGE of all UST Enginnering Programs have been great and CHED&PRC can supply the facts and figures!
