Hi,

What skincare products do you use when you have acne breakouts?

Let me share my solutions for this ....

1. Eskinol mixed with dalacin C, afaxin, and vitamin e (super effective -for people with "chronic" acne problems)

2. Panoxyl 5%

3. Panoxyl 10%

4. lately lang ... Nexcare by 3M ..it's like a translucent round sticker that you put over your pimple. This is the most effective. One day wala na. It's expensive though. I use it during emergencies (for example .. big day tpos biglang may lumabas na zit ... or yung mga zit na maliit pa *** and super sakit...) It's expensive though, I just saw it here in taiwan, I dunno if we have it already in the Philippines. Meron na nga ba? pero effective wise, >>> 90% your zit's gonna disappear in 6hours after using it. It sucks the pus out of the acne. And you'll actually see it inside the translucent round sticker-like thin gel. Emphatic ako sa product na to kasi dito ko lang sa Taiwan nakita to. It costs around 200php for 12 small (0.8cm in diameter) and 6 big (1.6cm in diameter) circles. I'll post some pics kung wala sa pinas nito... hehehe

Kayo? What products do you use? Treatments?

PanOxyl din ako. I read a similar thread about this just a few days ago here, maybe you'd like to check them out. They used Acuzine, Derma Cleanse, Proactiv Solution, etc.. if I'm not mistaken.

Panoxyl 2.5% is way better than 10%, but you have to use very generous amounts... i.e. the full length of your finger. This way, your face won't dry up (which irritates skin, thus more breakouts). You should be real patient as spreading this huge amount of gel through your face, and waiting for it to be fully absorbed evenly, takes at least 3 minutes... but it's well worth the effort.

And follow on with moisturizer. This is a must.

The worst thing that one can do to a pimple is to constantly squeeze it. This make it more irritated and worse, squeezing it will leave a scar that won't go away.

1. The best thing to do is to prevent pimples from coming out in the first place. Look for a product that has Tretinoin (http://www.pinoyexchange.com/forums/showthread.php?t=228770)or salicylic acid as active ingredient.

2. When using Panoxyl or any spot treatment for pimples, make sure to follow up with a licorice crm (http://www.coco-puro.com). This will ensure that the pseudo-scars will lighten.

3. A concealer with an anti-inflammatory ingredient like tea tree oil {both the Body Shop and Bobby Brown carry such products} is also a good way of hiding the blemish, while at the same time helping heal it throughout the day.
This will ensure that the pseudo-scars will lighten.

The scars may be reduced by using creams for skin lightening. A high concentration of vitamin C and/ or licorice will provide you just the right touch to help lighten the scars.

Concealers, as I have mentioned, that contains tea tree oil also helps lighten the scars.
