Will extracting blackheads cause scarring?

My derma assured me that removing blackheads whiteheads using the extractor wont cause permanent scarring. Is this true?

in my experience, the holes of those blackheads only got bigger so I'd advise you to refrain from facials, etc. soap and water is the key.

even if i use soap and water, the blackheads are not coming off.

oh thanks. That was what happened with the other derma years back. Still got some scarring left due to pricking and extracting. My current derma assured me there wont be any scarring because they can close the pores after. Can anyone else share their experiences with facials?
