I am not from UP but I can't help but get flabergasted when I learned that may tuition fee increase na naman ang UP. If I am not mistaken, between 1000 to 1500 na ang magiging per unit.

Fine, a lot of rich people also study there but it is also a known fact that the bracket system there is quite absurd.

I may be talking in extremes but the fact remains that what is supposedly The State University is not any more affordable to the masa students. It's main purpose to give good and afordable tertiary education gone up in smoke.

Do you think you got nothing to do with UP if you are not from that school?

Additionally, budget for UP was slashed if I'm not mistaken by 30%.

Okey no?

Galing.

ASSERT FOR A HIGHER EDUCATION BUDGET!

And well approved na ang 2001 budget so I suppose you will have to fight of for the 2002 budget. Gambling Major in Jueteng sa U.P. Tapos ang Dean si Ang.

since were talking of fee hikes here...

far as i know, merong impending lab fee increases n at least three colleges - FA, CHK and Archi. sa home college ko, FA, lab fees for at least seven subjects were raised -- some subjects that previously didnt require lab fees suddenly imposed a fee of 400 -- effective next semester.
all these despite the supposed non-compliance of the admin to conduct proper consultations with the students. nag-survey daw ang ilang taga-admin, but it didnt come close to a "consultation", the way the term's normally defined.

right ow i understand the exigencies created by that bwakangshet na budget cut, but why do the students have to shoulder the costs of government misappropriation?!!!
