Well, I'm not surprised because even the prestigious, ASEAN UNIVERSITY NETWORK also ranked those 2 as the Top 2 universities in the Philippines.
Here's the site: http://www.aun.chula.ac.th/Member%20universities.htm

But, wait. where's UST, the number 3 in the Philippines?

Saang organisasyon galing ito? Nakaka-ewan kasi ang criteria.

The criteria for ranking are:

Quantity and Quality of Teaching Resources
33.33%
A Total number of books in the university library 8.33%
B Number of books per student 8.33%
C Total number of teachers 8.33%
D Number of teachers per students 8.33%

Research Output and Productivity
33.33%
E Number of Google Scholar results 16.67%
F Google Scholar results per teacher 16.67%

Recent Web-visible Activity 33.33%
G Number of Yahoo! Results related to 2005

Kakaiba naman ang mga criteria na ito. Parang ang babaw. At may Google at Yahoo results pa!

:grrr:
