I have the opportunity to watch the CSB vs UPHR game last Wednesday (Oct 6) and it was such an exciting game. That was the first time I saw Benildeans rallied for their team with an enormous amount of support. The CSB crowd created a very disturbing scenario that other schools would undeniably envy (not to mention na puro sosyal and beautiful faces ang majority of the csb crowd). I thought Benildeans are tagged as "walang pakialam sa paligid" or something like that but that day suddenly proved na hindi naman pala talagang ganon.

Hindi pa rin maganda ang impresyon ng nakararami sa school natin and I think this is one big opportunity for all of us to prove them wrong; that Benildeans cannot be underestimated and that we can do better than them (not only in the field of basketball or sports for that matter but in other areas as well). Ipakita natin sa kanila that we can unite for a common purpose and this will spring us to achieve greater things in other field of endeavors. I strongly believe na hindi naman talaga tayo ganon sa iniisip nila. In fact, I read from an article when Bro. Andrew Gonzales said that DLSU-CSB is far better off than the DLSU main because of the teaching innovations that we are implementing in our college. It is not an easy task for all of us to twist things over neither we can do it overnight.

Kapag may nakakausap akong mga tao at tinatanong nila kung saan ako nag-aaral, sabi ko sa Benilde, kitang-kita ko ang pangungutya sa kanilang mga mata. I know a lot of benildeans have gone through this experience a lot of times. Nasa sa ating mga kamay how we can get over these things. Let us not be indifferent to this issue and we should unite to gain a more respectable image in this society.

In this coming NCAA finals, let us support our team. Let us make THEM believe that we are in unity; that we are the opposite of what they have in mind.

I am very impressed with the way CSB PEP SQUAD make the CSB CROWD go wild and funky but i should say we can still do better than that. Kapag naungusan tayo na kalaban, huwag naman sana tayong mahinaan kaagad ng loob, it is the time when our team needs our cheer the most to encourage them to play better.

Sa iyo Benildean: Isa itong paghamon! Makialam ka naman! Hanggang kailan mo ba nanaising tingnan ka ng iba ng may halong paghamak? Walang makapagbabago sa iniisip nila kundi ikaw at ako lang. Kita tayo sa Finals ha?

I agree with you one hundred percent!!! Sorry, if I have to spell it out pa. I never seen any of the game of the Blazers and I feel so guilty talaga. I will try my very best to watch the game together with some friends. See u there...

I have to say that you made every Benildean proud! Mabuhay ka! I did watch two games of the Blazers: the opening game at the Araneta and the game after that at Rizal. Parehong talo. Nakakapanghina ng tuhod. I cannot believe after those three straight losses, the Blazers still manage to occupy a position in the Finals. Napakabait talaga ni Lord sa mga Benildeans and the entire LaSallian Community. Bukod sa magaganda na tayo, matatalino, magagaling pa pagdating sa Sports!!! Both DLSU men and women's basketball team made it to the finals. Both DLSU-CSB men and women's basketball team made it to the finals of NCAA and WNCAA respectively. Now, WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT THAT?????:ahh:

Coming from a Bedan. I really wanna applaud you guys for being able to prove a lot pf people wrong. Since the time you've entered the NCAA a lot of people were saying, "Kawawa naman ang Benilde ano naman ang maproprove nila dito? Mga walang paki yan eh." And a lot more jeers, you can't imagine. I have lots of friends from Benilde kaya nakakainis din in my part. But you've proved them wrong talaga. You've have shown more unity now than ever before, to the envy of a lot of Bedans. For I believe we are losing faith in our basketball players and yes at times in our school for there a lot of changes to me made. This isn't a very good year for us- again!!! You've have shown the unity and the determination to win, in just three years you've gone this far. While with us, we have been strugling every time- walang gana talga maglaro ang mga players namin. I wish my fellow Bedans would see your school as an example what "school spirit and loyalty" really means. You really want to win, then I congratulate you for being able to go this far. A lot of my fellow Bedans are behind you. Goodluck and make it a back to back championship for De La Salle!!!

I think, the real goal in joining NCAA at least,for the part of CSB admin. is not to win the championship but to serve the NCAA as a tool in uniting all benildian... It maybe seen as a very simple reason.. but I think .... yun ang totoo..
I'm so happy because of the outpouring support of benildian community goin to the final 4 kc b4 walang nanood mga games ng blazers(elimination games) despite the proximity advantages that we enjoyed compared with other colleges....
I just wish na sana nandoon pa rin ang mga benildian kahit malasin tayo(hwag naman sana, but just in case, ludy luck does not sing for us) sa SSC...

I saw the CSB PEP SQUAD doing their practice last night and all I can say is that the group is getting better and better. I am proud to say that we have the best pep squad in the NCAA circle. Agree?

May cheering competition din ba ang NCAA? When will be the WNCAA cheering competition? To any of the member of the CSB Pep Squad who happens to read this. Any info please!!!

finally may nakapansin din!!! parehongpareho tayo ng nararamdaman ngayon tulad ng iba ring Benildeans. I have been supporting the Blazers from their first game up to now. I havent missed a game and every second of it.Yup tama ka nga masama nga impressions sa atin kaya i want the Blazers to win the NCAA Championship.Malaking tulong 'to as in sobra. Hindi na nila titingnan at mamaliitin ang skul natin. Hindi lang tayo ang magiging proud pati mga Lasallians. For the past two games i have seen & felt yung matagal ko nang pinapangarap which is the Birth of the Benildean School Spirit. Grabe yung mga nagpunta for the past two games.Very enthusiastic pa sila for the Blazers. This is it! Ito na yun sabi ko sa sarili ko.I hope this continues forever...

Hindi ako regular surfer of this website and I just happened to click the UAAP games. I was very surprised na marami palang mga benildeans dito. Humahanga ako sa message ni calintaan kasi totoo talaga ang sinasabi niya. Para sa mga benildeans diyan, sana mabasa niyo para magising naman kayo.

Sa mga hindi pa nakaaalam, CHAMPION na po ang LADY BLAZERS sa WNCAA noong saturday night. Kapag nagkataon na champion pa tayo sa NCAA ay talagang dapat ng magkaroon ng selebrasyon!!! The half-time performance of the CSB PEP SQUAD during the WNCAA CHAMPIOSHIP GAME was truly remarkable! great! amazing! fantastic! wonderful! awesome! at kung anu-ano pa. May mga nagkamali pero okay lang naman. Still, it was a high-impact performance! I have no doubts kung bakit natalo ninyo ang DLSU PEP SQUAD sa RX CHEERING
COMPETITION.

Based from infos gathered sa pagbabasa ko sa ilan sa mga replies dito sa Pinoyexchange, 4PM ANG GAME1 SA MON(OCT9) SA RIZAL MEMORIAL COLISEUM.

Sa monday, dapat dagdagan pa ang green and white flaglets kasi ang ganda nitong tingnan. Ikalat ninyo ang flaglets sa lahat ng corners at hindi sa iisang grupo lamang para kitang-kita ang impact ng crowd.

To all BENILDEANS: Please do your share in doing what is best for your school. Your PRESENCE in the FINAL GAME will truly make a difference!!! Please dont ever think that it is just a ball game. It may not seem as important as you think it is but our SCHOOL can never uplift its IMAGE/REPUTATION if we all stay indifferent. To all Benildeans who cared:
Thank you talaga sa mga suporta ninyo. We've come a long way rin kahit 3 seasons pa lumipas and I believe that the Benildean spirit is with us! The Lasallian spirit moves us with greater force pa! Let us all be inspired and cheer on kahit matalo pa tayo! We proved a lot of things to others especially apathetic Benildeans and that is WE CAN UNITE and BELIEVE like a true Lasallian does. We were never good on paper and a lot of our fellow students never believed it until we enterd the final four! It's so hard to rally for more support talaga pero we endured. And I'm very proud of calintaan for the inspirational words. Humbled pa rin karamihan sa aming mga taga-pep sa suporta. Sana, tuloy-tuloy na ang suporta para walang talo na ang Benilde sa mga susunod na laro niya, may it be basketball sa NCAA, WNCAA, NCRAA or any league, at sana bigyan pansin din natin ibang teams natin sa ibang sports!

To improve our cheer, I do hope the you will pay attention to this one. The wave thing and the flaglets are quite conventional so let us come up with a more unique and innovative one. One time when I was watching the game of the BLAZERS, the drummers used to jump after a couple of beat. It looks so cool and fun!!! Try to make the CSB crowd jump and the PEP SQUAD should help them do the proper timing of jumping. Noone in the UAAP or NCAA is doing this kind of cheer. This is one hell of chance for us to innovate such kind of a cheer. Hope you find time to think about this. GOODLUCK sa ating lahat mamaya!!!

Actually, that was the quatro fight we were doing. Sort of a Go Benilde cheer but stops in the middle where you can hear the shout "fight!" Suggestion lang, sana the squad can scatter sa buong Rizal na may crowd ng Benilde... this would not only make Benilde unique, but also if the squad stays compressed, hindi alam ng crowd ang i-chcheer. It doesn't necessarily have to be the cheerdancers,as I understand it would be dangerous for them, pero yung guys sana para hindi mukhang isolated ang squad. If this is going to happen, sana rin maging mas enthusiastic yung cheerdancers, nakikita talaga sa bleachers sa bandang end ng game na hindi na masyadong lively yung squad. This is very important! I know this job is really tough and tiring, pero, you really have to pep the crowd eh.I know the crowd can be tough to lead, pero you have to try non-stop to encourage them to cheer.

All my life, I hated number 66. Mapamahiin kasi ako. Namana ko siguro sa nanay ko. But now, hindi na! If you have noticed, the past three games of the Blazers, nakatapak sila sa score na 66. I know because allergic nga ako sa number na 66. Tama nga siguro ang sabi nila na sa buhay na ito, we must learn to love the things that we hate most in order for us to enjoy life to the fullest. What I am saying may sound irrelevant to some but this realization is definitely a learning experience in my part. Hindi ko maintindihan ang sarili ko kung bakit ito ang sinasabi ko. Siguro, what I'm trying to point out is that people tend to pattern their ways and thinking sa mga numero, past experiences and other stuff that eventually prevent them from moving on.

Well, relating this to the NCAA, the BENILDEAN COMMUNITY is just starting to establish their own identity away from the shadow of the main campus (not totally away but somehow different in some aspects). We cannot step our feet on the higher grounds kung itinatali natin ang ating mga sarili sa stereotyping ng ibang taong hindi naman tayo lubusang kilala. The moment has come for us and that is to MAKE KNOWN AND BE KNOWN. The feeling is so.. so.. great when you see your fellow Benildeans Shout for Joy and Cheer for Victory! I think it would be best kung magdadala kayo ng elevated na patungan para sa mga Pep girls kasi natatabunan na sila, hindi na tuloy makita. Tapos, nakapatong silang lahat doon. Ang ganda sigurong tingnan. Sana wala lang mahulog. Lagyan ninyo ng harang for the safety of the girls. Did you picture what I am saying? I hope so...

Yung sinabi ni china, sana you follow it kasi I noticed yesterday only the bleachers were cheering most of the time kasi di ma-follow nung mga nasa baba ang mga cheers. Let's face it, kahit tinuro sa p.e. classes yan iilan lang makaka- remember. CSB students didn't think we'd make it this far. You CSB PEP play a very important part in any game participated in by Benilde. You have to lead everyone (no matter how dead the crowd may be); that's what the job description is as pep squad. It's really hard to bring the dead to life but you guys tried out for the squad, trained hard for the cheers and dances, some of you even taught the cheers at p.e. classes and this is the time you have to deliver what you were trained for. No matter what the others say, you pep people are doing good but tomorrow may be your last chance to show your detractors how good you guys are.

To the pep girls, you have to be full of pep and you have to exude this aura of being peppy para mahawa ang crowd. Don't group together; lead the crowd...mag hiwa- hiwalay kayo para you have better results. The boys are busy doing drums but to the boys na walang pwesto sa drums, help the girls naman bring the dead to life.

Hope no one gets offended by this...constructive criticism lang to walang personalan.

i agree with tabs and ch!n@ na the pep squad should spread out sa supporters ng csb kasi the crowd becomes quiet pag nag lead na ang kalaban but the pep squad tuloy pa rin dapat the pep squad should also encourage the crowd to keep on cheering kasi the players get their intensity to play from the supporters.

It is not an easy task for all of us to twist things over neither we can do it overnight.

Kapag may nakakausap akong mga tao at tinatanong nila kung saan ako nag-aaral, sabi ko sa Benilde, kitang-kita ko ang pangungutya sa kanilang mga mata. I know a lot of benildeans have gone through this experience a lot of times. Nasa sa ating mga kamay how we can get over these things. Let us not be indifferent to this issue and we should unite to gain a more respectable image in this society.

In this coming NCAA finals, let us support our team. Let us make THEM believe that we are in unity; that we are the opposite of what they have in mind.

I am very impressed with the way CSB PEP SQUAD make the CSB CROWD go wild and funky but i should say we can still do better than that. Kapag naungusan tayo na kalaban, huwag naman sana tayong mahinaan kaagad ng loob, it is the time when our team needs our cheer the most to encourage them to play better.

GInaya tayong mga laslista noong early NCAA years, sumunod ang mga UAAP schools at muling mabubuhay sa NCAA in these recent years...all because of CSB. Every school loves to be a rival of La Salle--this goes true in UAAP (AdMU, UST, FEU--lahat sila gusto nila rivbal nila ang la salle) and it will be soon in NCAA (watchout for dem knights, stgs, and Bedans). Trailblazers talaga ang CSB and win or lose, you all have proven na magagaling kayo.

Yeah, pero I guess its easy to say but difficult to do, if the one in charge of RMC is really devoted, then I guess they would have done it years ago pa. But since money is very hard these days, I guess by the time I graduate from CSB, wala pang aircon. Anyway, I guess the care takers of the place are doing all they can to keep the place clean. Smoking is very unavoidable. I just hope that the smokers understand if there are people around them who acts positively that they don't want to inhale cigar smoke.

Masanay ka na sa mga scalpers. Diyan sila nabubuhay din. Sana ma-rehabilitate na ang RMC. Halos masira ng buong CSB community ang gallery benches nito. Mabuti pa sa ibaba at maayos. Air-conditioned na rin sana tulad ng Ninoy para masarap manuod at maiiwasan nang manigarilyo sa loob! :smokin:

Yeah, pero I guess its easy to say but difficult to do, if the one in charge of RMC is really devoted, then I guess they would have done it years ago pa. But since money is very hard these days, I guess by the time I graduate from CSB, wala pang aircon. Anyway, I guess the care takers of the place are doing all they can to keep the place clean. Smoking is very unavoidable. I just hope that the smokers understand if there are people around them who acts positively that they don't want to inhale cigar smoke.
