NCAA Season 82 will be a tight competition, makes it interesting to watch.

1.Letran
2.PCU
3.Mapua
4.San Beda
5.UPHR
6.Benilde
7.San Sebastian
8.JRU

Letran will be more than ready to defend their crown, PCU will remain a tough contender, Mapua will be the Dark Horse, though they still lacks experience. San beda, with their good showing in the offseason leagues make them a title contender in season 82 thanks to their talented recruits. UPHDS will always be a surprise. Benilde being the host will give them an edge. San Sebastian, the departure of Leo najorda makes them a rebuilding team but with a young talent they are no push overs. JRU lacks big men but makes up with their talented guards, I heard they have recruited high flying athletic guards

Marami ba gagraduate sa Letran at PCU?

From their core starters, only Aban and Bautista will remain.
Pcu will miss Retaga, Sanz and Garrido?.

Aside from this four:

CSJL
PCU
SBC
Mapua,

JRU,CSB,UPHD and SSC-R i wish two of this schools make it to the FF. I like underdog stories.

Benilde, being this year's host and also this years Senior Overall champs will definitely be in contention for the F4 on season 82. With the DLSU-Green Archers out of the UAAP this year, they would probably support their NCAA counterparts and next door brothers(One-Lasalle system), kaya mas marami ng manunood ng NC, siguro naman. This is gonna be a banner year for the NCAA...i hope!!!

Not only that, malakas na rin yata ang RL with Koy Banal as their head coach, same thing with Mapua... and Letran, as usual with its solid support from the alumni. GO NCAA! VIVA! ARRIBA! ANIMO! BRAVO!:bop:

AH... wala na si Solis... Well, maganda balita pero kahit na... malaks pa rin yan... Magagaling silang lahat. I came from San Beda and an True Blood Lion pero I should know the facts, iba pa rin ang talent, meron ang PCU nyan, ang LetraN AT Mapua ngayon for other teams meron din sila... talagang execution lang... mahirap mag forecast sa NCAA.. Iba ang labanan dito... Anyone can make suprises....
Just support your alma mater

End 28 at 82! animo san beda!

i think pcu will win back the ncaa crown this year. jason castro has improved by leaps and bounds, and they still have proven performers like espinas, belga, and amparado.

san beda and letran are a toss-up for the second spot, but right now, i'm leaning more toward san beda because they have stockpiled a lot of new talents. i think the red lions have the most complete team, with good players in all positions. now, if only koy banal can weave his magic . . .

if ever letran will make it into the finals, it will be through sheer hard work, non-stop defense, fighting spirit, and brilliant coaching rather than on raw talent. letran is terribly short of experienced players this year, with only bautista and aban as the proven players. the others -- jazul, quinday, realista, etc. -- are, for the most part, still untapped talents. but then, if letran does make it to the finals, most probably the knights will win. :)

mapua also has a good team, with dela pena and gonzales bannering it. but will this be enough to give the cardinals a finals appearance? i don't think so.

final 4 seats are all reserved for

dolphins, red lions, cardinals and the knights.

there's gonna be a huge barrier between the upper four and the lower four.
it will not be as exciting as before, excitement comes at the semi-finals.

I can't really rank my school until I see the full roster but I guess it will either 4,5, or 6...

Animo Benilde...

On the Basketball Show hosted by Bill Velasco.

CSB Coach Caloy Garcia stated that they will play without Sagad and Orbeta...

So, to those who give premium on the presence of good big men in assessing the chances of a team, I think CSB will be not considered a contender.

But take note, CSB playing at "full strength" made it past the group matches of the FMC 2006 Summer League.

Does that make them good?

IMO, yes.

Championship contender?

No.

But I expect them to make the race for the final 4 exciting. Kung ikaw ay tied for 4th and your last game is against them... magsimba ka muna bago maglaro.

how sure are you about aldave playing this year? Until i see the final line-up,im not sure about that.

this is the column i copy paste it ....can see at www.letran.edu

2. San Beda College - Acquired key players in John Escobal And A 6'9" player in ekwe.
3.Mapua - is this the start of the "dela pena" era?
4. San Sebastian - Headed by a new coach, can the son of all time great arturo valenzona lead the Stags to the promised land again?

1. Letran Knights - despite no legitimate center and exit of some veterans they can still have a crack at the championship helm. Experience and defense will be the key.

2. PCU - rettaga, castro and epinas playing as point guard, shooting guard and center respectively. almost complete to have a great team. i will be missing Sanz's playing style. ang sipag eh..sya lang naman ang medyo pangkontra ng dolphins against Knights.

3. San Beda - hehehe my gradeschool alma mater....hhmmm.. Alas is so aware of this team. He said that The Red Lions are strong on papers but still needs to prove something.

though it's San Beda's time na 2 win the title, Knights shouldn't always be counted out of contention for the championship. with Alas as their coach, expect the unexpected.. *okay*

1. San Beda
2. Letran
3. Mapua
4. PCU
5. UPHds
6. CSB

in my opinion the final 4 (in no particular order) will be:

letran
mapua
san beda
pcu

darkhorse will be san sebastian. as for jru (my alma mater) will have to content on either 6 or worst 8 place with the absence of big men, arrival of new players and coach... we cant expect much. csb and perpetual are no pushovers, but based on the opening games they have their plays kaya lang parang kinakapos pag may transition plays ang kalaban...who knows? it's just an opening game maybe a lot of the teams will improve.
