hi there! i'm planning to get in July 2006. we initially planned for church wedding but bec my time and access is limited... we opted to just do a civil wedding. ok, para malinaw, i'm here in the US and my future hubby is in PH.
now, my question is, would it be possible to hold the civil wedding ceremony at the reception?

at sa mga nagpakasal lang muna ng civil, how much ba ang bayad sa mga judges na nagkakasal? teka lang, tama bang judge lang ang nagkakasal? at how long ang pagpaprocess ng papers? i need to know kase i only have 1 month vacation sa pinas so we need to do the marriage fast.

i planned to have our reception at Casa Espanol in Mindanao ave, QC. it's a garden reception kaya i'm thinking twice kase baka umulan sa big day ko... mura na sana dun.. plus i'm thinking of doing the ceremony there. kaya lang, nde ko pa sure kung pedeng dun magkasal yung judge...

i need your help fellas...

i've attended a civil wedding (catholic yung cousin ko, moslem un guy) sa makati shangri-la 2 yrs ago. judge ang nagkasal sa kanila. she wore a wedding gown and walked the aisle. meron din syang usual entourage. the ceremony lasted for about 30 mins lang (including the signing of the marriage contract by the spouse and sponsors, and the picture-taking). the reception was just at the adjacent function room.

i believe a judge, a mayor, a governor can facilitate the wedding ceremony.

you can do it in any location that you wish. Casa Espanol can hold the ceremony and reception as well. :)

hth. :)

This is what i got from another website on who's authorized to conduct marriages... *** lalu me na confuse.. kase i could still remember the tv patrol news about vilma santos solemnizing a kasalan bayan in batangas... pero based from this list, nde naman naka specify that they are authorized... pls do correct me if im wrong... i might have misinterpreted this...

Who are authorized to solemnize marriages?

(3) Any ship captain or airplane chief only in the case mentioned in Article 31 of the Family Code;
Any military commander of a unit to which a chaplain is assigned, in the absence of the latter, during a military operation, likewise only in the cases mentioned in Article 32 of the Family Code;
