hi guys.
i'm planning to buy a Palm Lifedrive (http://www.palm.com/ph/products/mobilemanagers/lifedrive/). i've read the specs and everything. gusto ko lang malaman yung comments ninyo regarding this mobile manager, kung sino man ang meron nito.
thanks.

umm mabigat siya and bulky kapag hinawakan.. but seems stable. naka display kasi sa store eh. pinaglaruan ko lang sandali.

sa mga nabasa ko sa reviews, may pagkamabagal daw kasi nga dahil sa malaking storage.

I own one and yan ang pinakamalaking trade-off, kinda slow speed vs large drive. I personally don't mind it that much though.

really, even with a good processor?

Oops mali ata na-phrase ko ah, what I meant was slow speed because of large drive. The processor speed is the highest that Palm can offer I think (the T|X has around 316Ghz lang ata?).
Pero kahit mabilis ang processor mo, starting up programs can take 1-3 seconds, depende sa program.
But personally, I liked it yun nga lang medyo bulky rin nga, kaso I'm not the type of person na naglalagay ng gadgets sa pants or shirt pockets, so ok lang. :-)

seifadiaz... we're the same type. trip ko talaga yung features nya e, but of course research muna to see if it's worth it. malamang Microdrive (http://www.ubergizmo.com/photos/hitachi_microdrive.jpg) ang naka-install dun.
paparagon... really? Rechargeable Lithium Ion lang ang nakalagay sa specs nya, ala ngang info kung gaano ito katagal bago maubos.
seifadiaz, ano tingin mo regarding battery life?
many thanks.

Battery life is good for me, tumatagal ng three to five days depende sa usage (ako mostly PIM functions lang, no video or audio playing). Laging naka-disable ang bluetooth and wifi lagi pag hindi ginagamit.
And yes, it is using a Microdrive.
This looks nice... http://blog.petterhj.net/entry.php?id=28

Bubuhayin ko lang ulit 'to kasi I'm looking at buying one.. So after two months, okay parin ba siya? May kasama na siyang keyboard ngayon ah.
Eto, would you rather get a Lifedrive or a TX and a 2GB Nano? That's what I've been trying to figure out.

I have one, and right now, even with the lags, I'm quite satisfied with it. One trick to speed some applications up is to either get RLocker (from Resco.net), or get Sharkcache from ludustech.com. If you want to increase the battery life a bit longer, get PXA clocker and underclock frequently used applications that don't need that much CPU power.
To also increase the battery life, mind the applications that you use. TCPMP is a better media player compared to pocket tunes because it gets the job done, even if the app is underclocked to 1/4 the speed of the CPU.

I'd rather have a Treo for something at that price ... :hmm:

It's expensive because of the large storage space - a 4gig microdrive alone will set you back 16k.
