you may pm me or post here sa thread...

thanks! :rotflmao: :)

I can't help you where you get glycolic acid...wala ako diyan...

But I just thought I'd tell you that anytime you do a self peel with any products...YOU MUST ALWAYS USE A SUNBLOCK 15 SPF OR HIGHER. IF NOT YOU ARE DOING MORE DAMAGE TO YOUR SKIN THAN GOOD. Sorry that I'm yelling at you but I don't want you to damage your skin. When you do any chemical peels, whether it's at home or at a salon, you have to use sunblock. Sunblock should be a part of your everyday regimen kahit hindi ka lalabas. I see a dermatologists and my aesthetician regularly because I used glycolic acid incorrectly and now I have imperfections on my face that we're never there before. My mistake, using glycolic acid that's professional strength...used it more times than I should-once a month. I'm an advocate for using sunblock...kahit ano pang gawin mo sa skin mo nothing will protect it without the use of sunblock. Chemical peels removes the dead outer skin/epidermis (yata yun) and what's left is the second layer na parang baby skin. Malambot yun at sensitive so you have to protect it with sunblock. An expert can explain it better to you . If you do chemical peels (like glycolic acid) more doesn't mean better, stronger strength doesn't better, and doing it often doesn't necessarily mean better. Consult your aesthetician and they can provide you with the glycolic acid and sunblock too.

ok..i got it..well the one given to me by a friend was the one given by her dermatologist aunt. Syempre yung hindi masyadong matapang ang binigay sa akin, and yun na din *** ina-apply sa kanila and i'm applying sunblock daily..minsan lang naman po ako mag-peel using glycolic acid nung meron pa akong supply. I usually read articles and search the net kung ano yung pros and cons nung mga gagamitin ko, and sobrang naging maingat na din ako sa kung ano-anong ina-apply ko sa skin kasi madami na din akong nabasa at nakitang side effects ng maling application ng mga gamot gamot lalo na *** para sa skin..

well, thanks din po sa info..

so you want home peeling kits? I suggest you rush to beauty bar (Galleria, Greenbelt, Rockwell or Gateway ... ) and ask for Philosophy products... Philosophy have different peeling kits... they have oxygen peel and so on.... they also have microdermabrassion kits (if you pefer this one)... I havent use any Philosophy peeling kit because I am still undergoing acne treatment (self-treatment) using their Acne Kit which prooves to be very effective.... the acne kit does contain one product that promotes peeling (anti-blemish serum) which contains salicylic acid and glycolic acid (me think!)... I am experiencing slight peeling when using the serum... and the product really works for me ... made my skin clearer... i'm still thinking if im gonna have that oxygen kit (which is highly recommended after or alongside acne kit) or just have a diamond peel from a good derma.

well, i have to dry up some of my pimples before going to a derma for diamond peeling, they don't usually do it if there are still some acne eh. how much are the peeling kits @beauty bar? (any idea) i think they have a branch here in glorietta?(am i right?) well what's good about Philosophy's product? actually, its my first time to hear about the oxygen peel...can you please elaborate more about those you have mentioned?

thanks for the info... *okay* :)

This is the first time that I heard about Oxygen Peel. What are the purported benefits? And how much would this cost?

Glycolic Peeling Solution (http://www.pinoyexchange.com/forums/showthread.php?t=228770), I think is made from fruit extracts. The peeling this can do is not too ugly compared to what TCA can do. But it's peeling all the same so it can also minimize pores and pimple scars :)

Dermatologists use a much higher concentration of glycolic acid in their Glyco-peel procedure. This is one thing you need to consider when assessing the practicality of buying home kits.
