Why is the NCAA section of PEX sleeping?
Reminds me so much of the real state of things in the NCAA. Ever wondered why the league is looked down upon by people even from the no-brainer schools in the UAAP?
The league cannot sustain off-season interest unlike the UAAP. It's not that marketable anymore.
:hmm:

good morning alvin. :) for me, tapos n kc NC season at studies **** ang inuuna nila hindi **** s hnd *** hardcore pero NC people are simple and practical. kaya **** buhay ***** ang UA forum kc may scandal at may batuhan ng putik. totoo dpat marketable ang isang league kgya ng NCAA pero mas dpat unahin ang promotion of sports camaraderie among the member schools at values. look at UAAP, marketable nga *** **** values.

I agree with the scandal angle.
How about the much talked about changes in the NCAA for the coming season? Any truth about the NCAA going national?
If this will push through, this is going to be a big boost to the NCAA.
Anybody in the know?

Why is the NCAA section of PEX sleeping?
It's not like we're sleeping in here, but we do have other things to think about like work, looking for work, study, getting high grades, and other matters to discuss, like scandals, reading other posts in other forums other than the NCAA and of course, lurking.

You mean to tell me that inactive PEXing in the NCAA and the state of the league are correlated? Maybe I need to grab a beer before we discuss this further. :glee:

It's not the off-season that counts. The way I see it, everyone's preparing for the next season and it just so happens that basketball is the only sport with exposure in the media.
I do want to know what's happening within the MANCOM but they're not pexers so we might as well wait and see who's going to hold a press conference. :D

-----I see. So you guys are not sleeping. Thank you.

---The inactivity simply reminds me of the state of the league in terms of interest being generated even during off-season. I'm not suggesting a statistical correlation between the two, silly.

No problem.
Is you information reliable?
I guess if that is true, and with the impending suspension of La Salle, the NCAA might just come up with a marketing coup of sorts. That will make the league a little more interesting and eventually emerge from the shadows of the UAAP (a league that really draws its popularity from the Ateneo-La Salle rivlary).

I do not share your sentiments with regards to the state of the league. I feel that the interests of the ordinary NCAA student or pexer are in many different issues. I remember not having a forum of our own years ago but this forum has shown that there are people like you who show concern and are active even off-season. Just be patient and we will grow as a community. There are a lot of possible scenarios and I choose to believe that progress is on-going as we speak. I just don't want this forum to end up talking about scandals and issues about players till the next season. We already have sub-topics about girlfriends of players, alumni of each nc school, and of course, the never-ending bashfest before, during and after the season. A healthy mix if you ask me. We are a marketable bunch. Because we choose to prioritize more important issues than be trivial about the state of the league. We will come to that soon. ;)
