you get the cheapest price then you get the cheapest 'deal'...you sacrifice on so much quality the cheaper it is.

as you mentioned the price is such but its in panda. thats way too far! if you computed your transport and time lost commuting to and from the hotel, then you should have paid a few more dollars.

i would rather stay in a hotel in pacific place which is my favortie or in the harbor city omni hotels at least its near the shopping if thats your intention.

if its business then get a hotel in honkong side where you have the financial establishements or wherever you are supposed to transact in.

if u wanna make super tipid, just pay for the fare and find one of those Inns....in the tourist district.

Oh.my.gawd.
Don't even get me started on this Shenzen deal in Panda Hotel. Nothing can be sooooo worse than this.
Panda Hotel is literally in the edge of nowhere. If you check the train stops, it's the last one, right next to the New Territories. Think: 30++ minutes later, why the hell am I still in the MTR? An even more horrible scenario: 30++ minutes later and with my arms laden and dying with shopping bags, why am I still in the MTR? Panda Hotel is just wayyy too inconvenient for shopping. And ofcourse we all know that bulk of HongKong is shopping. If you went for sights, there are better Asian countries to visit.
I too was lured by this Shenzen deal in Panda Hotel and I would just like to say that it is the worst thing ever. Shenzen is no great shakes - and to get there is hell on earth. A whole bunch of tourists trying to get past China's border to get their visas is just too chaotic. And when you get there? Factories / Warehouses showcasing really cheap (and I'm not talking price alone) goods.
If you're looking for a cheap HongKong deal, you're better off going to those Shim sha Tsui hotels. And forget the Shenzen visit. Too taxing.
