I can't suggest anything, but here's my opinion and I hope it can help you:

About the Hello Garci issue, I believe no one can say or tell if it's really true, but in my case I believe that it really happened, but I'm not against Gloria because of that. I believe the conversation happened after the election not during or before the election, and Madam President said sorry because she made a conversation with a Comelec Official (Garci) about the number of votes she had, days after the election which is not allowed (according to many people, but I really dont know the reason why).

Anyway, if Gloria really cheated, I'm still not against her because I believe, even decades and centuries ago and ago and ago, everyone, or at least 98% of the candidates for elections cheated. Since they are using a vast amount of money for the election, will they not be aiming to win at all cost? In my belief, all of them cheated.

The next statements may not be useful in your research paper, but let me add this up (just to alleviate the bursting feeling inside me about those people, let me release this): To the opposition, I hope soon they will feel that they are not the only people who lives in this country. Please stop criticizing the president, and instead of looking for leaks in her presidency, please look for ways on how to improve this country. Look at the United States. The opposition, after the election will simply say that they promise to help in making this country better. But here? What are their statements? The president cheated and blah blah blah.. Magsawa naman kayo araw araw kayo ang nasa balita. On the other hand, To the president, hopefully she will feel that our country is in the midst of poverty.. Way back 1960's we are one of the best countries in Asia (second to Japan).. but now one of the poorest.. Instead of looking in the positive issues at all times and changing the days of holidays (although there's nothing wrong with those things), try to look on what's wrong and try fixing it. Hopefully the Meeting that they are planning (I forgot the name of the meeting) to do (the former presidents together with Gloria and the opposition) will be a signal for Unity.. Para Umunlad naman ang Pilipinas.

Let the President stay. She's doing well at least for the moment. Her E-VAT is working wonders for the economy. Let her finish her economic programs and contingency plans for the nation. The opposition should stop making crap and start helping the President. So what if she cheated? It's not the nation's problem anymore. It's her own personal date with God. As long as she does her job like right now and continues to uplift and redefine the economy with the right and just means, there's no problem with it. The problem with the opposition is that they became megalomaniacs and self-centered people that they forgot what their job is about. They have forgotten that there are many people that are affected, especially the less fortunate. They are senators, representatives, in general, public officials. They were made to serve the people primarily and not to make or break Presidents! We can't live changing presidents for every two or three years. Mamamatay ang Pilipinas pag ganun ng ganun palagi. Madam President does not want to step down, what they can do? Rather than creating more mess, they should just cooperate with the Chief Executive for the nation. They can't do anything if the president does not want to go down. Even if they whine until May 2010, the President will not go down from power. Please cooperate and don't be whiners for the nation's sake.

And for the President, Whether you cheated or not with Garci, I don't care. Whether you forged, you faked, you frauded or you forced your way into power, I could not care less. Just do your responsibilities to the country. Ikaw naman ang may gusto nyan, then take charge for us. Please. Save the nation from drowning. I don't care if our system president and Cory connived and is now begging for your ouster. Please do your job. You cheated for power is what everybody says. Prove to us that even if you won fairly or by cheating, you can do your job and raise the Filipino to another level. I do not support you but I support your programs for our people. Please layout a stable future for us. I'll be glad to help, just give the nation a definite direction now that it is kind of unstable at the moment.

I am not for politics or pulitika in the system now. All I want is economic and national stability. I want a better future for us. That's why I don't care who the people vote, just as long as the winning or the cheating bets do their jobs once they are put on the spotlight. It does not matter who is at the top post is, what matters is who can save the nation from furthermore drowning and bring us up that high!
