If you didn't manage to pass the Entrance test of your school, where do you think you're studying at present?

In my case, siguro I'm a Mapuan (ECE), PLMeyer (ChE or EE), PNU (Secondary Educ) or a LaSallian (COE) (last option, mahal tuition kasi eh =) )

a. Mapua (ECE) - high tuition fee... even for a scholar.
b. DLSU (ECE) - same reason
c. UP (EEE/EE/ECE) - very far from my place and I wasn't able
to take the UPCAT.

I have finished my BS degree already. Planning to take up my
MS soon.

why you chose ChE/EE at PLM when you could have chosen ECE too?

Bago ako mag-college, magulo yung courses na gusto ko, actually, wala pa kong idea kung ano kukunin ko. Dati, gusto ko Virology, kaya lang ayaw ng pamilya ko, wala daw future dun, or better researcher ang future ko dun, eh ayoko naman nun basta I simply love the structures of viruses kaya ganun.. so kaya sabi eng'g daw masaya.. So, eh di yun, any engineering.. Anyway I enjoy math and physical sciences naman kaya ok lang.. Actually kahit anong Engineering na lang sinulat ko nun sa mga application forms, sa ust, sinulat ko EE .. eh ngayon na feel ko na ayaw ko ng EE, kaya next year, I'll be shifting sa ChE... anyway nasa General Eng'g sciences department pa lang naman ako kaya flexible pa kong lumipat lipat ng engineering major.

You're probably not a UP isko or a lasallite.
Believe me, there are a lot of people who share the same feeling like i do. if you have a background like mine, passing the acet is the least achievement you'd gloat about. from where i come from, going to Ateneo simply means you flunked both in UP and De La Salle.

Diba sa mapua 0% na ang babayaran pag-scholar ka? Sabi kasi ng friend kong taga-mapua, kapag daw 1.0-1.75 ang general average mo, wala ka nang babayaran. Di ko sure pero yun sabi niya.

I been an academic full scholar when i was 2nd year and i pay more than 5K. Kahit full scholar ka di ka makakaligtas sa miscellaneous fee.

Okay, that is what I am talking about. Even if you are a full-scholar,
you can't escape the "other" fees. I got that computed that's why we
back-out from MIT.

Ummm...courses in which you are gonna major in math? There are a lot of math courses offered in the country. Some of them are appplied math: mathematical finance, applied math: computational science, bs math, statistics, etc.

hello, my name is Mr Chau. look in the other topic in this fora so you know more about me. Mr Chau is getting tire in introducting myself lah..

anyway, this is a good topic lah. coz i ask my officemate who is graduated from DI ATENEO, coz my son and daughter maybe is going to enrol in there next summer. my officemate is convincing me lah coz she say Ateneo is the best school in the island philippines and in all southeast and northwest asia.

but i ask her if my son and daughter did not made it to the Ateneo,.. she say,,, i should send my kid to Myanmar lah, coz all other universities in the island philipiine is crap. she say there are many many poor and brown-native "basag ulo" in UP, poor and "bobo" in De La salle and UST.

she say all as in all schools in the island philippines is crap except DI ATENEO.

that why im searching the internet to search the truth lah, but she block the universities site and ASIAweek. she burn all the issues of Asiaweek in the office from 1998 to 2001 edition. :( she was shouting and shouting when she burning it.
