But mas kilala si G3 kasi she is even waaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy prettier and classier than Arbee. So imagine mo nalang gano sya kaganda.

And yeah, her snobbishness is utterly charming.

Accdg to Arbee, s/he makes KC up for his shows ata sa MTV. And they are sending her daw to NYC for training. And then si Mikee naman daw Malaysia. Sabi lang nilang dalawa sa akin yan ha.

Both were my batchmates in college and i have to disagree w/ u badgirl, G3 isnt' that pretty naman :) She looks too made up every time i see him and halata pa rin that he isn't uhh, "one of us". But no doubt about it, he sure knows how to work it plus he's so pleasant to work with pa. He works for the ad agency of the co. i'm working for and i see him often at the office. I haven't seen Arbee at the MAC counter yet, parating si Mikee lang and i'm very happy w/ his service. Forever pleasant and helpful :) Am looking forward to seeing Arbee there though.

Anyway, going back to the topic -

Bea: Clinique's a good brand for sensitive lips. I wouldn't recommend lipsticks from MAC or REVLON (gasp!) coz they're a bit drying on the lips, especially the latter. Pero you can apply lipbalm first before putting on your lipstick - hassle nga lang esp. since you need to touch up a couple of times w/in the day.

Question! Are NARS lip glosses any good?

i heard and i've read sa mga magazines, tweezerman is the best. but i have used revlon, yung slanted yung tip, ok sya. kuha kahit na maliit na maliit na hair. me lasa ba clinique?!?! baket yung sa ken wala naman.... unless siguro luma na. it can taste and smell pretty nasty talaga.

Novalee: G3 has the quiet elegance that makes her prettier. I think it's the overall package that makes her really pretty. :)

Mikee is really nice, kaso minsan I think he is too patronising. :p And nakakainis yung mga ganon.

:)

Btw, anong bago sa Nars now? Do you girls know any nice matte lipstick from nars. My mom is using catfight. And maganda sya, but she wants something else.

i swear by my tweezerman slant tip tweezers. i treat them like gold. IMHO(i'm sure PePs and purple_madness are going to agree with me), a perfectly tweezed brow makes a face. not lipstick, not foundation nor eyeshadow. the shape and maintenance of the brows really make a difference.

hay, so true.
tweezing one's kilay is the most drastic thing one can do (short of having a 'lift) to one's face.

ako feeling ko it makes or breaks a look. pano kaya na titiis ni whoopee godlberd yun?

i got myself chanel's Aqua Blush (http://www.gloss.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1121383&cp=1116357.1116363.1116437) in Soleil. I went to the counter to buy something naturally rosy but was totally enamored with the bronze effect of soleil..gives great summer-y color and a totally sunkissed glow i love it! i have to agree with PePs, chanel is definitely an expensive yet worth it guilty kikay pleasure. i should start rummaging through my mom's kikay kit, she's been an absolute chanel make up nut for a long time. :)

Has anyone tried Smashbox cosmetics? I recently bought its stick foundation in White Oak at Beauty Bar, and it suits my skin color perfectly. It's quite pricey at 1,400 a pop, but I hope it's gonna be worth it. It doesn't have that too cakey and too-made up effect that foundations tend to give the face, and it has a very natural, almost-bare look.

What other brand of foundation is good?

Hello! Mostly makeup yung topic of discussion dito so I wonder kung ok lang to ask about hair naman? :)

I'm thinking of getting a haircut. Yung something different talaga but easy maintenance (as much as possible wash and wear or at least something very simple to style). Kasi I have very thick and long locks tapos medyo nagfifrizz din sya and I have to fan-dry it pa to make it less buhaghag. Can anyone recommend a good hairstylist? One who can give me a cut that I can maintain? And one who really knows hair and alam yung babagay tlaga sa akin?Minsan kasi maganda lang pag ni-style nila sa salon but the next day when you've washed your hair ayun magsisisi ka na kung bakit mo pinagupit. Thanks!! :)

I originally wanted just the Face x 8 ($30) and Lips x 8 ($26) but the salesclerk said we had to buy the entire 3 sets if we wanna avail of those prices. Since I also bought the brush set with the Lip Glass, the whole thing cost my hubby $102 friggin' bucks!! I haven't seen the stuff though but I will get them very soon. I hope the colors will match my complexion (I'm kinda pale) so the money won't go down the drain. I hope the money spent is well worth it. I'm excited to use them though :D

It looks intimidating because of the intense pink color in the tube but glides on very sheer with just a hint of healthy pink. You look like you've never smoked a stick of marls in your life! It stays on long but I haven't tested it through a meal. I like the consistency of Glossimer more than MAC's Lip Lacquer because it's not too sticky. But I guess there's always room for both in your Kikay Kit.

I just discovered Glossimers myself and sobrang ganda nila talaga  I only have 2 shades - Brilliance and Soda. I would like to get more, kaya lang they're too expensive! ($25USD). good thing I got mine 50% off at a beauty salon. how much are Glossimers over there and meron ba yung Coconut?

marami na ring nadagdag sa kikay kit ko since my last post;

Lipglosses
-Estee Lauder Pure Gloss Lip Gloss in Praline (your-lips-but-better shade) and Icy Lavender (Y-L-B-B and pinkier). I had to get 2 coz I really wanted to get the gift-with-purchase na may kasamang sample size na Illusionist mascara

-Christian Dior Plastic Shine Lip Gloss in Tender Beige.
line and fill your lips with MAC Spice lipliner and put this on top - the result is just BEAUTIFUL...imo.

-Neutrogena MoistureShine Lip Gloss in First Blush and Groove.

Eyeshadows
-NARS Eyeshadows in Night Star(champagne-beige with gold shimmers) and Night Fairy(light lavender-lilac with gold shimmers). these have been out-of-stock for the longest time, so I was really excited when I got them at Sephora 2 weeks ago. I'm really disappointed with the Night Star coz although its very, very pretty on the pan, I CANNOT get it to show up on me (tried it wet and with a base -- NOTHING) may just have to exchange it for something else.

-Physicians Formula Eyeshadow Pearls in Natural Pearl and Lavender Pearl.
these are like the eyeshadow version/knock-offs of the Guerlain Meteorites Loose Powder Balls. I like these a lot - I'm gonna get the other 2 shades pag nag sale ulit.

-L'Oreal On-The-Loose Powder Eyeshadows. I got these at the clearance baskets of Target. colors I got are Metallic Jade, Copper Metal, Gold Metal, and Rustic Metal(I like this color the most). I may have to return all of them - the glitter gets all over your face when applied dry. they go on nicely when wet but I have no time to go through all that 'wet' routine esp. in the morning.

Blush
-Presciptives Fresh Cut Cheek Color. I only bought this coz it was limited edition. it looks very cute - broken pieces of different color blush in a box.

-Revlon Skinlights Cream Blush in Berry.
parang knock-off ng NARS Sin blush in cream form.

Lipsticks
-Chanel Hydrabase in Beige de Chanel
-Maybelline Wet Shine Diamonds in Pink Topaz, Pink Diamonds, Mauvey Rocks.
all pretty, pretty colors.

I also bought 2 POOLE lipcream singles and 2 eyeshadow singles.
I got these a few months ago - again 50% off - I don't wanna use them yet coz they look so beautiful and luxurious (packaging and all). I just enjoy looking at them :) am I the only one who's like this? :) :*)

like what peps said, it depends on your skin tone. but if you wanna play safe, i think the liquid cheek tint goes with all kinds of skin tones...you just have to know how much you're gonna apply so as not to appear like you splashed merthiolate (sp?) on your face. best cheek tints: benefit benetint, origin's pinch your cheeks (which was ripped off by bench...they came up with pretty when pinched) and body shop's lip and cheek tint. :)

and habang wet pa yung hair mo, gently pull (gently ha?) kasi it's at its most elastic.
parang rubber na hinihila para pag loosen pero don't overdo it kasi just like rubber, baka maging brittle and mag break.

massage your scalp din every night to circulate yung blood.

hmm, not really. I have oily skin and i use blush everyday. Blushes in powder form work best for me. Some favorites are NARS orgasm, MAC angel and Estee Lauder blush all day. L'oreal blushes are ok too. Liquid blushes are the worst for oily skin. I've tried Origins PYC, Benefit's Benetint and L'oreal Translucide- - no good! Sayang coz these really look good on my friends. As for cream blushes, I've tried lots but only STILA convertible (the best!!) and NARS the Multiple worked for me.

i agree with novalee.
i too have oily skin and powder blushes work best for me, but you can get away with cream blushes too. just use your ring finger (it has the lightest pressure) to blend the colour in, besides, oil glands are not as madami sa cheeks kesa sa t-zone.
try lancome's blush duo - it has both shades in cream and powder in one nifty compact.

i think liquid blushes work on dark skin only if you have reddish undertones (which is rare), otherwise, it won't show. you'd need a lot and it will look fake.

try gel cheek tints like chanel's fruitè. stains your fingers like achuete but it looks really natural.

yung pimple scars mo, kung hyperpigmentation lang naman yan, ang solution dyan concealer lang.

Dab powder on your lipstick . . .
- Put lipstick on. Then place tissue (preferably one ply lang) on your lips, tapos brush powder (face paowder is ok) lightly on the lips (covered by the tissue). Then dab another coat of lipstick. It actually works . . .

- My mom coats her lips with lipliner first, then puts on lipstick (of the same shade of course).

Ei kikay girls, thanks for the help.

I tried oatmeal masks before kaya lang nag brebreak out ang skin ko.

yep, i've been using isotrex for about 2months na and i noticed that my skin has become considerably less oily. moreso, it doesn't leave scars or dark marks after it heals the zits. galing! *okay*

but anyway :), for those of you who have that classic tan complexion, I'd like to share this and hopefully, you guys would like the results.I've been using this lipstick shade lately

Luxe by Lancome PLUS Oh Baby Lip glass by Mac for shine - I'm lovin' it :D , I think it complements our classic tan complexion very nicely.

1. does cold cream really REALLY remove mascara (says so on the package)? haven't liked any mascara/eye makeup remover i've used kasi.

2. how do you maintain false eyelashes? i mean, i've read a lot of how-to articles on wearing them, but none on how to keep them. does it mean these are meant to be worn once only, disposable sila?

not really. wetting it not only gives it staying power but definition as well BUT kailangan mo habulin bago matuyo kasi pag natuyo, mahirap na mag blend.
i personally don't think you have to kasi ang konti naman oil glands sa luds to make your shadow melt.

i heard na microdermabrasion will help ur pores seem smaller, mag-work kaya sa akin yun? kc nga malaki yung pores ko?
um, i'm not so sure but kasi with microdermabrasion, yung epidermis mo yung ni s-slough off.

yung smoky eyes effect, how do you do it? thanks!
base shadow two shades lighter that your skin. you can use your concealer din.
powder shadow in grey and powder pencil in a darker colour, say jet, but not black.

line and use your ring finger when you blend. i'm so not for blending using sponge applicators or synthetic brushes kasi it pulls the skin. anyhoo, stay away from kohl liners. use powder pencils instead.

two coats (at the most) of mascara.

Hi, is the Tomas Morato Branch located at that new building near Chilli's? I thought this is just a new branch, I was surprised you've been having your hair done there for 4 years. Is Merly also good with short layered hair? Mine is like that kasi. I've tried Pearl of Piandre Timog near the Rotonda but I wasn't satisfied. She charged 550 too but I didn't feel like it was worth my money. I might try Merly, thanks!

:) i meant that i've been with merly for 4 years. the morato branch just opened this year. i went to the banaue branch before but im closer to morato. yup she's good, i've tried my hair long and short with her, remember those natalie imbruglia pixie hair do hype days? i wear my hair past my shoulders these days and i'm pretty satisfied with the layers she did. when merly's too busy, i go ahead and try whoever is available and i've never come out with a frown. i guess all their hair stylists are well-trained. i've tried gigi, rachel, tere etc... i'm just used to having merly do my hair. 'hiyang' in other words. hope you come out loving your hairdo and looking fabulous! :) let me know how it turns out.

yep. never lick your lips. totoong nakaka-dry yung saliva. drink lots of water. like you i also apply lip balm before putting on lipstick (i'm using body shop's lip balms) and a lipstick na may spf (i'm using in 2 it). it actually lessens dryness. i heard blistex and vaseline (yung lip balm) are pretty good. i tried using petroluem jelly and chap stick before but they don't work for me. lip sticks na matte type are not usually compatible with our climate.

basta gumamit ka ng lip balm then lip gloss na may spf and moisturizing properties and of course, drink plenty of water!

wow! this thread is really informative.

please suggest a good facial cleanser and a toner/astringent for combination skin. i am using cetaphil right now, but i want to try something new.

also, when you have occasional zits, what do you use - benzoyl peroxide (benzac or panoxyl) or tea tree oil? benzoyl peroxide used to work for me but i think my skin has gotten used to it and so it is not as effective as before. and also, i noticed that when i put benzoyl peroxide, the spot becomes a darker. is it the same with you guys?

i'm using blushed blush of bobbi brown. it's great.. looks natural on your face but i've heard many people say nars orgasm is a great blush.. i suggest that you try them on first.. see what's best for you.. oh another thing. i suggest you buy a powder blush.. it lasts longer and doesn't look oily and shiny when you sweat and all compared to the cream ones..

I think the best way to do this, if you want to have dramatic eyes is to have the dark shade under the light one.

Could you guys recommend a good online make up guide/tip that has pictures along with steps on how to apply make up? I could do general daily make-up, but when it comes to night, I don't know how to intensify my current eye shadow.

m also starting to buy on make-up products

... so far i;ve tried Body Shop concealer, dati gamit ko yung concealer na may tea tree oil pero i don't na pero da best yung tea tree oil nya, it dries ur zits, naka ilang bottler na ako nito :D i also bought their pencil concealer, ok naman. ....i bought the shimmer eyeshadows, sayang nga e, i dont use it naman as well as the lip/cheek tint...i've only used them a few times.

....bought Maybelline's gel foundation last month, m not satisfied with it, hirap ilagay coz natutuyo agad.

....MAC studio finish in NC35 (or NC30 , i c'ant remember) the gay recommended that shade to me so i bought it but i tried it first but can't see the real difference bcoz of their light.....tapos when i tried it at home, i didn't like it, i can literally see the concealer on my face so i have to blend it talaga...w/c is exasperating....so i end up selling it.

...i recently bought Nu Skin's wet/dry pressed powder, so far ok naman! i like it....it can b use in 2 ways for P850, value for money! and when u put it on, it looks natural talaga....i sign up na nga e so i can get more discounts and sell them ;)

...2 days ago naman i bought the Sonya colour concealer wheel. it has 5 shades in 1 for only P1,590, another value for money!! i was thinking of buying Nu Skin;s concelaer nga e, but then i realize mas makakatipid ako dito since it has 5 shades compare to P800-1000+ one colour concealer...green for pimples, lilac for eyebags w/c makes ur eyes bright, yellow for dark discoloration, light/dark beige to uneven d skin. ..Sonya and MAC have d same manufacturer but the former uses aloe vera.

Foundation will turn cakey on your face when it becomes too hot. I use ZA's 2-way powder-foundation and it doesn't melt naman. I do find it a little heavy on my face though. I think pressed powder looks best on our skin even if we have to constantly reapply it during the day. Try Neutrogena or Max Factor's Facefinity.:)

Hi prinsesa_ako

What's a good tinted moisturizer? I have combination skin (oily sa t-zone) and use Shiseido foundation (2-way sya, the one that can be applied wet or dry). But I'd like to use something that's not so matapang on the skin, but will still cover up blemishes and pimples.

Make up is okay as long as you dont end up looking like espasol. One thing that bothers me about what I see on the streets are girls wearing powder so thick or colors that do not match their face. It irks me when I see a white face and then u look at their necks and its 3 shades darker than the one above. Powder is there to control the shine, and maybe hid blemish..but i thats all. What works for me is just mascara and a bit of blush and tinted lipgloss for everyday wear.

I have a nail question for the kikay godesses...

What's the best nail polish na hindi mag-chip for a week? or does it matter, baka I just need a fabulous top coat??? are there any good local nail polish brands?
it has to be easy to apply (good brush) kasi shempre pag D-I-Y hirap ako mag apply ng polish kasi hindi naman ako ambidextrous

I don't want to go to the salon everytime I want to change my nail color but i do my own housework (wash dishes, etc.) kaya madali mag-chip nail polish ko.

this thread is better than the fashion mags.

The best brand that's available here so far is ESSIE. You can get it from Essenses in Glorietta. Kinda expensive at P495 a bottle. But it really lasts long and they have a huge range of colors to choose from.

I recommend the following shades: Ballet Slipper and Mademoiselle.

Next to Essie, I also think OPI is good but I'm not sure if we have that here na.

prinsesa_ako
Jun 10, 2004, 10:20 PM
pattybee i saw opi na here somewhere hahaha essences den ata.

yeah ok essie pero ok na den sally hansen kase mahal ng essie e :)

why dont you use rubber gloves when you're doing housework para d mag chip nail polish mo?

Thanks for the tip :)

I went to Essenses the other day and saw OPI there but the choices don't compare to Essie. You're right Essie is really expensive but to me it's worth it. It doesn't chip off easily and won't make your nails yellow. Plus I love the colors!

Sally Hansen is a cheaper alternative, good quality too. I discovered two new shades: Sheer Buff and Sheer Pink. They look just like Essie's Ballet Slippers and so much cheaper at only P165 a bottle :)

Hi! Just want to share my latest kikay purchases from the US:

LIPGLOSS:

Lancome Juicy Tubes (Miracle, Candy Cane) - hands down the best tinted lipgloss!!

Christian Dior Addict LipGloss in a Taste of Strawberry - the shade is really great and it last long!! Worth the $22! Kaya lang mas mura pala dito - P1k lang. tsk!

Nars lipgloss in Baby doll - pretty pretty pretty shade!!

EYESHADOW

Stila eyeshadow in Twilight (silver), Pewter (midnight blue), Launey (base shade), Tierra (taupe brown). I used to be a MAC eyeshadow fan but now i'm a stila convert! I love love love their eyeshadows! I regret not buying the pastel palette. Ang mahal kasi.

BLUSH

Am still loyal to my Shu Uemura blush (grabe ganda talaga) but I'm happy with the tarte cheek stain that i bought.

GLITTER PENCIL

Nars glitter pencil in 54 - one word: FUN!

FOUNDATION

I give up on liquid and cream foundation because they just don't work on me! I'm now loyal to Laura Mercier's powder foundation. Ganda talaga. Apply Laura Mercier's loose powder after for a super natural finish!

KIEHL's

...siempre my kikay trip won't be complete without Kiehl's lipbalm #1 and Ultra Facial moisturizer. Mawala na lahat wag lang lipbalm na 'to!

Not into make up & such, even if I do wear it everyday. Husband ko lagi bumibili ng mga cosmetics ko. I spend more on my shoes. But anyway, day to day basis or not, I still think you should be the object of attention and not your make-up.Ako always everyday na ata since I got here. Sa pinas never na nagwear ako ng make up kahit nga noong nasa college na ako. Simple gloss at face powder ok na.

Ako before putting make up I make sure na I put mositurizer muna. But for those who have oily skin this is not recommended or iyong expose sa araw. Or kahit na di expose sa araw kung ang environment ay mainit.

1.Lips:
Lancome Juicy tube lip gloss -- always the best & voted as the #1 lip-gloss of ALL.
Loreal (# 720,445) lip stick
Loreal lip liner & colour crayon
Estee Lauder(12)

2.EYE
Loreal Eye Smoker crayon ( antique, Blanc Lumiere)
Lancome le stylo water proof eye liner

3.Face
Loreal ideal balance liquid foundation
Lancome Transparence de Tent
Neutrogena face powder
Maybelline cool effect(#2,3)
Wet n wild face illuminator

Nails
Mostly wet n wild – (#403,405A, 405B, 402, )

Now I want to share my beauty tips LOL: I get this from my make up artist once( long time ago) Then you should emphasize daw yong the best assets mo. Mine I emphasize my eyes & lips.
MAKEUP TIP #1:
A beautiful makeover begins with the right foundation. Mostly sa mga female have yellow based skin like ME it is not advisable to wear a foundation which is too PINK or something almost orange. If you 'shine' a lot you should use an oil absorbent powder. Always buy the foundation oil free palagi nga pala.

CHEEK COLOR MAKEUP TIPS
When applying blush use a darker shade to contour your face and "lift" your cheekbones. Apply from the earlobe downward to mid-cheek so you do not leave a"blob"of color on the cheek. Use light colors of blush to highlight.

EYE MAKEUP TIPS
1. When applying eyeshadow, tandaan iyong dark colors recede features and light colors highlight.
2. Apply the lightest shade over the entire eyelid
3. Apply the medium shade on the lower eyelid
4. Apply the darkest shade in the outer corner of the eye to create depth.

5. Apply with short strokes, starting form the center of the eye and working towards the corners.
6. Mascara finishes your makeup so kung ang mga mata mo ay itim or dark eyes use black, navy, dark brown or clear mascara.

LIP COLOR MAKEUP TIPS
1.Gumamit ng lip brush when applying lipstick. It will not only help define the contours of your mouth, but also helps to control the amount of color that is applied. ( although na di naman ako gumamit ng lip brush since I use crayons most of the time)
2. Applying powder lightly over the lips before applying lipstick helps it to stay on longer
3. Gumamit ng lip gloss for finish over your lipstick to enhance its color.

NAIL COLOR TIPS
1.Dapat tandaang lagi na ang nail polish at dapat magmatch sa general tones ng iyong makeup.
(Always use clear nail polish for very authentic & professional look especially). Mostly here sa America Red are for hookers not all the time. I recommend having your nails done FRENCH NAILS TIPS ang tawag doon. This is how I done mine.

Di hilig sa make up? Hehehe I just use to make up na lang hubby ko kasi.

whoopss.. sori prinsesa i wasn't able to check this forum for a long time :( di me nkreply ***

I have heard Stila is known for their eyeshadows ;) the reason why I chose 3 of them (kitten, puppy and jezebel) and ask my brother to buy me those along with a long list of things! I wanted to try launey soo bad cuz it looks sooo nice pero sabi nila di lalabas *** :( I'm quite fair (MAC NC20)

their blushes are a bit drying but I wanted to try pa rin nevertheless... I chose hint and tutu... they look so nice!

lancome juicy tubes are nice but they're wayy too sticky... cerise is my average gloss... would want a bit more pigment sana though...

hmmm what else... papabili rin ako some Becca stuff... have u guys heard of that line? It's made in australia pero meron na sa US... medyo pricey (stick foundation costs $38US) pero sabi maganda daw talaga... so I decided to try hehe!

too bad dessert beauty isn't available pa sa australia (where my brother is)... or else, puro dessert beauty stuff na rin yan! Aside from Stila and Becca... hehe I can't forget those brands cuz di naman sila available dito... its hard to get your hands on them esp if di ka naman umaalis... :(

I'll keep you updated... medyo naguguluhan pa nga ako ngayn kasi I want a LOT of stuff!

[-c-h-a-]
Jul 8, 2004, 08:08 PM
ohhhhhhhh I tried neutrogena's moistureshine gloss in first blush, flirt and sweet nothing too! i decided to try it cuz I saw kristin kreuk wearing first blush sa magazine... and she uses Dizzy daw a lot... kaso dizzy is discontinued na

it's very light... di mo mffeel na may lipgloss ka... di rin sha sticky... just the way I like it... it's nice... smells fruity too! hehe I might hoard some more...

a friend of mine made padala Nars glitter pencil in danceteria... :( I didnt like it... the glitters fell sa cheeks ko... and it took me 3 days to be glitter-free haha!

Jul 11, 2004, 01:01 PM

mysecretself: if your skin is good naman without any blemishes and stuff.. well you dont need to put any foundation na. light makeup lang like peach sa eyes konteng blush sa cheeks and rogue sa lips pwede na. (imagine what your kikay kit would be like. my kikay kit consists of a lip tint, evian spray, hairbrush and.. thats it actually.) hahahaha but it all depends. are you in school or at work? at school i dont think we need to use makeup at all. maybe the lipgloss lang because we're in a hot country our lips need all the moisturizing we can get. but the rest? macclog lang pores mo which will make you look older faster. not a very good investment when you're going to live a long life. pero work.,.. dont know. maybe yon nga. the basics. i guess nakakatamad den to retouch all the time. but if you have blemishes naman either you use powder lang.. or just a bit of concealer tapos finish it off with loose powder to create a the illusion of blemish free skin :) them maybe the blush, lipgloss and a touch of eye shadow so that your features will show and para you wont look like a dead person hehe!

tssk: if you're going to a wedding.. hmm... depende san location, time and theme ng wedding kase e. but as you said, black dress sa afternoon so i guess ok na what you wanted. maybe you could look at magazines and try to get an idea (or make pagaya) sa make up artist what you want. what i did to the countless weddings i had to be a secondary sponsor (is that what its called.. my cousins keep getting married and making me their utusan haha!) i always get an idea of what i want and have a professional do my hair and my face kase i dont want to look like i did it lang while the others look so professional diba? so yon, i get an idea and buy a few stuff lang (lipstick lang actually kase yon lang magagamit mo after e) so i can retouch my make up once in a while. i would recommend you to get one of those sheer lipsticks ng lipfinity considering that its a wedding and you'll probably eating, katama dmag retouch all the time. and you want your make up light and sheer kase afternoon nga diba? tignan mo nalang what would look good with your dress, blacks a pretty neutral color fashion wise so anything would look good.

hope i helped! :)

I dont like Juicy Tubes either. Feels heavy on my lips and my hair keeps sticking on it. Even if i put petroleum jelly on my lips before i apply anything. I went to this local beauty supply store and stumbled upon this lipgloss by OPI. I love it. Perfect sheer that's totally wearable alone. Nars finally granted my request of a lipgloss version of Orgasm. Hehe im pretty sure all us wanted that. Nars has never let me down. I just switched to brown mascara (Anna Sui Super Mascara Volume Up 500) to "brighten up" my look. Goshers Anna Sui could have the lamest sales pitch and i'd still buy it coz i cant resist the pretty packaging. To be honest i ruled out the rest coz they dont look as pretty as Anna Sui's packaging :bungi:There's still Cork by MAC which i use for my eyebrows. Just got a new bottle of Ralph. There's just something about it that makes you feel young, huh? Im only 18 but u guys know what im saying. I got a free gift with it :D It came with a shampoo, conditioner, and lotion in a lil kikay bag. Time to get a new compact, and I really wanna try Laura Mercier. I already tried Lorac and it was good but i thought it wasnt worth the 35 bucks so i came back to MAC. Well actually i just wanna try Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer. I still have mixed feelings bout MAC Studio Fix. Has anyone here tried DuWop's Reverse Lipliner? Ive been meaning to pick that up but whenever i go to Nordstrom i always get sidetracked somehow by the shoes on the right side :D. Sephora just recently opened a branch in Victoria Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga. I think im gonna go visit later :drive:

I've found some great products coz I chose to browse through their extensive product reviews there. I am partial to Shu Uemura for my shadows but I've found a great drugstore brand that is not really easy to find but it's as great as those high-end shadows like MAC. It's this LA-based company called NYX Cosmetics and I swear these babies are great! Nice pigment, excellent texture, good staying power, wide range of colors and best of all, it's dirt-cheap! I was itching to go to Mervyn's coz I heard they have it there but I ended up buying it at this obscure makeup and accessories store at the mall in Puente Hills, CA. The makeupalley members are raving about its triple shadows, so I bought 4 triple shadow palettes, and I think it only cost $6.99 a pop. I'm buying more, I can't stop raving how good these palettes are. If they're hard to find, you can also get them online. Good thing I browsed at makeupalley.com first before buying cosmetics!

Are Lancome Juicy Tubes good enough on their own? Don't they look clear lang? Or is it any good to put on top of a nude lipstick? ..... I like achieving those nude, glossy lips that are uso nowadays so i wear pink or beige lipstick then top it with clear lipgloss from in2it. Tell me more about Lancome Juicy Tubes & will it help me achieve that nude, glossy look i want? ... But saying nude --- i like the look of pale, glossy lips pero solid ang coverage like what lipsticks do & not just shiny. My hubby said kasi that he'll buy me Lancome Juicy Tubes coz there's a pack of 3 that's cheap lang but i said wag na lang coz i was told it's basically clear. And when i tried Maybelline's lip gloss in tube, kinda difficult to apply ... maybe all the more when applied on top of my lipstick? Please enlighten me my kikay friends!! Thanks!!

It's soooooo fun being a girl!!!!
I sooooo love blowdrying my hair, putting on makeup, dolling up, etc ..... as in kilig talaga ako!!!!! I did pala my mom's hair & makeup on both my brothers' weddings! But not anymore in my own wedding ... hehehe. I put on wet makeup, like painting. Easier to blend & it lasts longer.

Hi! No I haven't swapped yet, I'm kinda scared to swap used makeup. Is it really cool? Besides, I don't wanna part with most of my makeup finds yet. Lush, is that the company that has stores in Manila too? Which of their brands are your faves? Yeah, productville rocks!

Oh swapping can be addictive-it doesn't have to be used makeup, too.I did some international swapping for products I was interested in w/c are not here, like LUSH(yeah it's also in Manila),which was initially based in Canada and UK before it came to the US.Just be careful when you swap and ask pertinent questions, especially if swapping w/that person for the first time. And yes,you get to read their tokens, basically descriptions of how her past transactions went. The more positive tokens you have,it's kind of easier to begin a swap w/you.A lot of times makeup junkies like us just accumulate a lot of stuff, some we even don't use,or just lightly used or tested.I had been blessed to have fun swaps w/great ladies. You get to try samples they have access to,w/c a swapper includes as extras, always a pleasant surprise. :) Fave items from LUSH? Dami eh,hehe.I even reviewed a few things I tried in productville. But on top of my head I can say rockstar, honey I washed the kids, creamy candy bubble bar, buffy the backside slayer,of course their bath bombs are great too like butterball, sex bomb, waving not drowning.basta annielise,if you enjoy long baths, showers and massages you might fall for LUSH.super bango bathroom and bedroom sa mga ito, lalo na pag bubuksan mo yung package for the first time, and when you use them, and afterwards. *paw*

Thanks cookiepie! Nice insight about swapping, who knows, I might do it one of these days...kakaintriga nga eh, eversince I started MUA. Yeah I like Lush too, I just get overpowered by the smell, specially when you enter their store, I have their shampoo, I just forget the name. Yeah I love showers, spa, lotion, and I LOVE massages! Super! I use this great massage lotion called Earth Therapeutics Anti-stress Massage Lotion. I ask my hubby to massage it on my sore muscles esp. on my upper back, neck and the shoulders and I swear I could feel the knots leaving my body. They have stock in Manila at Beauty Bar, but here in the US, it's kinda hard to find (weird, huh, and it's made here!). So I go to my favorite online store when it comes to bath and spa products, www.relaxdepot.com. They deliver fast, your order is accurate, and best of all, they sell at a discount! Their sales go as low as 70% off, so I'm really happy with them. They even included samples of their products in their shipment and complimentary Ghirardelli chocolates :), I was really pleasantly surprised. Since you like bath products, you can probably browse relaxdepot.com, they have tons of bath stuff there. :)

Wow! I need to look into that! It's hard to resist a bargain w/first hand testimony :naughty:And I love samples too. Oh yeah I heard of the overpowering scent of the LUSH stores and fortunately,it wasn't so bad when I went to their store in Makati for the first time in January.I was like a kid inside a candy store(oh well they smell like candies too right,LoL) And Beauty Bar somewhat reminds me of a Sephora store. My nearest Sephora is about a 2 hour drive and I confess,I went there just to get my makeup fix.I know,I'm bad-pero lately puro online shopping muna, hehe.

I'm relatively new to the world of makeup (in all of my 25 years, ngayon lang ako gumamit!). I didn't know anything about skin care either. Washed my face with bar soap, never used a moisturizer, couldn't tell which makeup brush was for what, and didn't know the difference between MAC and Max Factor (tsk tsk tsk). As in, sobrang clueless. ;)

I realized the need to be conscious about it when I got into an office job wherein client interface was necessary. I looked so dull and pasty and did not look like a credible account servicing person. I felt like a small kid in my mom's high-heeled shoes playing dress-up. Hehehe.

For this, I went on a kikay self-study. After reading lots and lots of my Cosmo back issues, I got hooked! I got to know the different skin care brands and tips on what to do regarding skin problems. I put together my very first kikay kit and started a daily day-and-night regimen (wash, toner, moisturize).

About makeup, I'm still in the learning process. I bought a brush set from MAC, along with essential stuff (face powder, gloss, lipstick, blush, eye shadow, mascara, and liner). I could go with powder, blush, mascara, and lip gloss, but never could get eye shadow right. Eye makeup is my waterloo. Even with numerous makeovers from the Rustan's cosmetics specialists, I couldn't put everything I learned into actuality. >sigh<

Buti nalang may kikay thread dito sa PEx! Now I could get some tips and learn more about makeup. :) Of course, share din ako ng konti kong nalalaman sa kikay stuff. ;)

Angeldevin! Sis! Hi! Long time no see! Mishu sobra! Ngayon lang ako napadaan ng PEx hehehe :drive:

what is better as a concealer....MAC or Cinema Secrets? I'm looking to buy a new concealer coz my old one (L'oreal) just isn't effective in covering up my undereye circles. Please suggest other brands also. Thanks!

I'm currently using Cinema Secrets concealer. It's good enough for covering dark undereye circles, although using too much of it can crease. It should be used sparingly. At least hindi madaling maubos ;) For MAC, the product reviews say it's ok naman but I have yet to use it...I think my Cinema Secrets would last me a looong time. :)

my kikay friend melody! :) good to see you in this thread. learned a lot of tips reading from reviews here. like you, i was a total make-up idiot a few months back. when my sister requested a mac treat for her bday last yr, i got overwhelmed with how much make-up can do to enhance my features. thanks to my sister -- i finally transformed to a make-up junkie myself. :D btw, on the concealer - im using
the mac select moisturecover in nc30. ok naman sha so far. u should take me where u buy cinema secrets when i get home.

anyway, anyone got tips to create a sun-kissed look?

i was at the mac counter last friday when we were trying to build a look to wear for a luau party. the make-up artist who worked on my friend wasn't the nicest and was really busy juggling between clients kaya the outcome wasn't as good as expected. i liked how she made my friend's face look flawless though. she used the HYPER REAL SPF 15 foundation (luvd the brush she used) then dusted off some STUDIO FIX powder to even it out. di ko masyadong na-appreciate ang bronzer and iridiscent powder ng mac eh, plus *** eye colors na nilagay nung artist looked dull. can somebody help me out on what brand and what shades to try? id be wearing something green and been looking for a nice green eyeshadow to match my do. wala naman shu uemura within my reach, anong pwedeng alternative?

thanks ladies!

^hi sis! A bronzer is really the thing for creating that summer look. From what I know, you should put on bronzer before your blush and then blend. Tapos dust a bit of bronzer on your nose bridge, chin, and the forehead. I'm not sure what brands would be good, though. Might try Smashbox's compact bronzer in Develop, since this is being used by most people I know. ;)

I know what you mean about being a total idiot when it comes to makeup! :glee: Wala akong kaalam-alam what to do in applying color on my face. Di ko alam what big difference it could make. Although I get a lot of raised eyebrows from ****, I could see he noticed the change.

You're looking for something green? Nothing beats Shu's eyeshadows talaga. But since wala dyan, try NARS eyeliner in Parrot Cay. I just looooove this color! ;) Kahit di na mag-eye shadow, this brings out the best in my eyes. Ang ganda! best eyeliner shade ever invented!!! I'm loving NARS right now, too! :girl:

melody: nars' blushes are the BEST! (names are darn nice din, hahaha, orgasm's my fave). about the green eyeshadow, ill try what uve suggested. mac has some nice ones din, pero alangan ako sa staying power nya. my sister uses eye paints on her lids ala primer (as suggested nung MU artist) pero even with that, the shadows dont really stay great for a long time. hay..hope to talk to you later. let's exchange thoughts on this more.

angel: yung Parrot Cay's an eyeliner, very light green yung color. Ok siya, esp if you put it on your upper and lower lashlines coz it gives your eyes a bright-eyed look. Ganda! NARS' eyeshadows are cool, too. Meron akong nagustuhan dun, but il try to recall the shade...next project ko yun. Their blushes are the best! I love the glitter that Orgasm has. Gusto ko i-try soon yung mga pinks naman nila, since Orgasm's a peach shade.

MAC's eyeshadows are said to have long staying power din, but I haven't tried them yet. Sayang kung mura lang Shu, eh di nakabili na sana ako ng sangkatutak nun

hi melody & angel Some tips for the summer look since you 2 are already here:

Summer Look:

You can use a bronzer or foundation which is a shade darker than your complexion to look like you've had a tan. You can also use brown or orange tone blush ons to create a tanned look. I suggest you use bobbie brown foundations as the effect is really natural. Just make sure that you use those with SPF and moisturizer (preferably water-base) for triple purpose.

Sun-kissed effect lipsticks or gloss can be found in Maybelline.

Summer Makeup Forecast

By Bobbi Brown
Makeup maven Bobbi Brown shares her tips for fresh-faced summer style.

Summer Face

"I've always loved the sun-kissed look because everyone looks happier and well-rested when they have a bit of color on their face," says beauty expert Bobbi Brown.

"This summer, I'm updating the look with hints of ultra-wearable shimmer. Try a bit of bronzed shimmer on the skin, nude shimmer on eyes and lips, and don't forget the SPF."

How to Get the Look
Face: Add a healthy warm tint using a bronzing gel where the sun normally hits your face: cheeks, nose, and forehead. Using a blush brush, sweep sand-colored blush across the apples of cheeks, working back toward the hairline, then downwards to blend. Finish with a shimmer powder for a summer glow.

Eyes: Brush a bone-colored eyeshadow from lashline to browbone with an eyeshadow brush. Using an eye-definer brush, apply a cocoa-colored eyeshadow on the lower lid. To enhance eyes, use an eyeliner brush to line them all around with a mahogany eyeshadow.

Lips: Apply a sheer neutral color on lips, then line with a mocha-colored lipliner. Finish with a neutral-colored shimmer lip gloss.

Water keeps you hydrated and cool

Blush is the easiest way to look pretty and radiant

Bronzer makes you look healthy and relaxed

The career look requires more attention and a little more time and product to create than the casual look does. Whatever the occasion, the career look should be polished and professional.
Start by using concealer under your eyes and eyelids, concentrating on the most recessed corner of the inner eye. Apply over any small imperfections on your face and blend with a sponge.
Apply a foundation that best suits your skin type and preferred coverage, and that matches your natural coloring. Blend carefully.
If needed, add loose powder to set and soften the look.
Shape the cheek area by lightly applying a blush color to the areas just under your cheekbones, and a touch more to the balls of your cheeks. Blend well to keep the look muted.
Career eyes require only two eye shadow colors and eyeliner.
Apply a light eye shadow over the entire eyelid.
Apply a thin line of pencil eyeliner at your lash lines and smudge to set.
Follow by applying a darker eye shadow along the lash line and blend well to create a soft, yet focused eye.
Apply the same eye shadow in the crease to create added depth.
Apply one or two coats of mascara on the top lashes only.
Use a lip pencil that blends well with your lipstick color to define your lips.
Add shape to your mouth and, if needed for staying power, fill in your lips with a pencil.
Apply the lip color that best suits your coloring as well as keeps your lips looking soft and professional.

Hey angel! :) So you're an Arizona Mills rat like myself, too! I love Forever21 (too bad they only have it at Fiesta mall in Mesa), but I know XI (but I go to Rave in AZ Mills, hehe). I just don't know though if they have NYX coz I never went inside the store though I know where it is. Anyway, here are the NYX trio eyeshadows that are really fab:

3 color eyeshadow # 4 (baby blue/october sky/pacific) - beautiful shades of blue in varying degrees (light blue, medium, royal)

# 16 opal/platinum/luster - I totally love this palette, it has these silvery and moss green shades that are just so pretty and wearable with anything!

TS 23 (sweet lagoon/aqua/ocean) - varying shades of green and blue, perfect for spring and summer

#5 (baby pink/cotton candy/spring flower) - shades of pink, salmon and lavender - i just totally love these babies :)

hi sisters! i was checking out some bronzers over at Beauty Bar and The Body Shop, and here was what I observed:

Smashbox's Bronze Compact in Develop (around P1,750) is a cream-to-powder bronzer and its shades border on medium to dark bronze. on the other hand, Bloom's Bronzing Powder in Aloha (P895) is for those who want a light to medium color. The Body Shop's bronzing powders come in two forms: there's the Brush-on Bronze in little pearls which comes in three shades, and there's the Bronzing powder with a built-in brush which gives a matte finish.

i think i'm gonna try out Bloom's bronzer. i don't like cream bronzers because it's a bit messy, nor do i like a matte finish because i want to have only a light bronze tinge.

shel: thanks for the tips! i've been looking over some sites on how to get that look that's good for the office, too. ang sarap maging kikay!;)

angel: ayan, kasama mo na si annielise mag-shopping! ;) tsalap naman! wish you were here, too. i-raid natin ang Rustan's at unahin ang Shu Uemura!

hi melody! I never did like bronzers, coz I felt I don't look good on them, coz I have fair skin. Okay lang kayang mag bronzer even though you are fair? Hind ba weird?

Of those three brands you mentioned, I really am partial to Smashbox. Their foundation and stick concealer in one is SUPERB! I use the white oak shade, I love, love love it.

hi annielise! i have fair skin, too. i'd like to try out a bronzer just to have a different look, especially this summer. it's a good alternative to blush, although you apply it on other parts of your face as well.

siguro kung pipili lang ng color, it wouldn't be advisable for us to use too dark shades. dapat medyo light lang para di gaano obvious, parang natural lang ;)

buti na lang Bloom has a nice shade which suits fair skin well. Smashbox's bronzers have that too, kaso ayoko lang sa creamy texture. tsaka medyo mahal for me...i'd be willing to shell out less than a thousand for a bronzer which i could use over the summer lang. :beam:

I haven't actually tried Smashbox yet...what are their best-selling products ba? :)

melody: onga eh. annielise is a make-up guru just like shel. the luau's gonna be this coming friday na. i have the whole weekend to play around and get that sun-kissed look. im actually loving mac pigments now. im trying to choose between teal and golden olive.. they look so nice!!! would it be weird though if use a bronzer still (considering ang tingkad na green un?) i think ill go against it and get a healthy pink flush instead. hmmm...

btw, i love smashbox's highlighter. i normally put it sa brow bone ko.

shel: i got the primer sample before (was good for 4 applications ata). i liked it a lot but i chose not to buy the bottle for $36. nag-aalangan kasi ako na it might clog my pores and cause a break-out. although the other day lang, i went to the body shop and got something similar (silicon gel din) for $12.50, matte it *** name. ok naman sha so far. any more alternatives for a primer? Laman din ako nyan :glee:, I usually buy my cosmetics at MAC at Nordstrom and Estee, Lancome and Clinique at Robinsons May. I had a luau party in AZ before too, I enjoyed it a lot. I never made that sun-kissed look, though. Just played up my dress and accessories. I was in AZ this weekend and it was GLORIOUS!! I miss the weather (and by the way, it was really nice, not too hot). Back to the topic: So are you gonna purchase NYX online? They're very worth it, just make sure you buy several so that sulit yung shipping fee mo.

Melody: yes, the foundation is one of Smashbox's smash products. Super okay. I love their stick foundation/concealer. My face looks so flawless with it. A tad too pricey but I think it's worth it. I gotta try the highlighter that Angel mentioned though I use NARS duo eyeshadow in Bellissima for that. I use the bone color in that duo for my brow bone. It makes a world of a difference.

Okay, I need your help.. I'm so clueless with makeup. My usual makeup is just powder, lip gloss and blush! I just got promoted and I figured I'd need to look a bit more polished and fit for my new job as buyer.

So here are my questions:

1) What's the right order and step? Tama ba to?

Moisturizer
Foundation
Concealer
Blush

2) I'm using Revlon's New Complexion One-step makeup in Toast. It's cream based and it suits my face. Do I need pa powder for this? :glee: Hay clueless talaga ako.

3) Which is the right way to do it? Curlash first then mascara or the other way around?

4.) I combine Burt's Beeswax Lip Balm in Coffee with Mac's Siss 482 for a lesser coffee-colored lips. But I do use a lip liner before anything else.. tama ba to?

Any other tips would be very much appreciated! :D

Hi Dreamer,

You might want to check my post above for melody regarding make up application for a career woman. It helped me before already. Always remember the quote "Less is more" in applying makeup.

Your question, the proper application is like this

1) cleanse
2) tone
3) moisturize

then your makeup (technique, work downwards starting from the eye to the lips)
4) concealer
5) foundation
6) eye liner
7) eye shadow
8) curlash
9) mascara
10) blush
11) lipliner
12) gloss
13) lipstick

okie ba? Just let me know if you need some more info

Hi Shelly_rush! I read in a mag that it's better to start with your foundation first then the concealer coz the concealer tends to get erased by the foundation. Then just set the concealer by patting foundation or loose powder over it. I used to put concealer first then my foundation but then I after I read that article, I switched them and it turned pretty nice.

Shelly_rush: I don't use toner though, for some reason, it reacts really bad on my face. I skip it na lang and moisturize after. Usually, after I take a bath and cleanse my face, I moisturize na then apply din body oil. After I get dressed na for work, saka pa lang ako lagay ng foundation.

annielise: I agree with you. This is why I dont use concealer muna before the powder, kasi from what I observed nawawala yung effect. :glee: But since cream based yung foundation ko, I dont usually pat loose powder after I apply concealer above my foundation kasi lumalabas na cakey na yung face ko.

O baka naman mali lang tlaga yung process ko? Ah...vanity! :p

hi girls!

I noticed make-up is a big issue among us Filipinas. In more developed countries (US, Europe, Singapore, Japan, etc.), it's the norm and it's part of women's (and men's!) everyday grooming.

Make-up doesn't have to be such a big deal. It's simply a tool we can use to improve self-esteem, advance in careers or businesses and for healthy self-expression.

I've started my own Make Up Tutorial for girls who are interested in learning make-up techniques and explore colors that will suit their particular skin type, color and needs.

[QUOTE=melody]About makeup, I'm still in the learning process.

:) Of course, share din ako ng konti kong nalalaman sa kikay stuff.[QUOTE]

hi! wanted to PM you, but i couldn't find your PM icon. I just posted something about a make-up workshop I'm conducting. maybe you would like to join? the BIG difference is you'll apply make-up on yourself. and not just one look, but 3! it's all up to you, sis! if you're interested, email me at 1207workshop@gmail.com

Me naman I started with foundation 1st before then concealer. The thing is there are some concealers in green and yellow hues that can't be covered by a finishingpowder. That's the time you use it before the foundation. Kasi the basis of the color of the concealer is that is should be a shade a little lighter than your foundation. So I think it depends.

Since I started my full-time job, my make-up needs have changed. Here are the current contents of my kikay kit:

MAC Studio Fix NC35 - Clinique used to be my pressed powder of choice, until I discovered MAC. Panalo talaga to, promise. Full coverage, glides on evenly, and no need to use concealer for minor imperfections lang.

MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner in Plum Perfect - for everyday use when I don't feel the need to use lipstick.

Lancome Lipstick in Beige Cashmere - My favorite neutral lipstick shade.

Maybelline Eyeliner/Eyebrow Pencil in Medium Brown - I'm an absolute novice when it comes to eye makeup so this will have to do.

Body Shop Lip and Cheek Stain - I'm looking for a better alternative though. Tint and gel blush don't work for me, so I'm looking for the perfect powder blush.

Clinique Blended Face Powder in Transparency 4 - For retouching during the day. The best loose powder I've tried so far.

I have a few questions:

I've been looking for the best powder blush, in a peachy pink (natural) shade, but I have yet to find one. I've been reading a lot of rave reviews for NARS Orgasm, but it has shimmer which I don't really like. What about MAC, what's the best shade of blush? I'm also looking at Lancome Blush Subtil, has anyone tried this?

Also looking for an easy-to-apply concealer, one that glides on evenly. I tested Cinema Secrets, but it doesn't blend well with MAC Studio Fix (or maybe I just picked the wrong shade?).

Melvel, for powder blushes, you can try MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Dollymix (Description on the site is "Pure Candy Pink".). Love this color! It looks scary on the pan, but when you put on it, it gives this natural looking pink flush on your cheeks. :)

ChickLuvsOrange: I generally steer clear of blush with shimmer, except for evenings. I'm looking for an everyday blush for the office. Does this MAC product have obvious shimmer? Might be a little too over the top for normal office make-up.

Melvel, the shimmer is not obvious at all. It sort of just gives this healthy glow. The color is not flat that's why it's pretty. I use it to work. I work in a hospital so I avoid too shimmery/glittery stuff on my face. Try it at the MAC counter so you'll know if you like it. Some blushes look like they have big glitters on the pan, but when you try it on, it's not as shimmery. :)

I usually use NARS blushes. For NARS I like orgasm (nice shimmer, nothing over the top), Madly (more of a peachy beigey pink), and Cactus Flower (cream blush, nice color when applied lightly). :)

i just bought the Nars Orgasm lipgloss. and for a gloss, it's a wee bit sticky.

On an ordinary day, i love using Body Shop's Lip and Cheek Stain. it really works for me. i just love the natural blush it gives your cheeks. Others would say na it looks really natural and blooming.

Of course, sa gimmicks, talagang make-up's the best because at night when its dark it will really enhance your features. But syempre, with or without make-up dapat carry mo padin, you wouldnt want to hear people saying maganda ka lang dahil may make-up ka, that's an insult... hehe :bashful:

sis melvel: you can try the following blushes from
MAC (no shimmer)

Peaches - Pure peach (Sheertone)
Mocha - -Soft plum-pink (Matte)
Sincere -light/medium muted beige/coral (Sheertone)
Fleur Power -soft bright pinkish-coral (Satin)
*with a light application this blush is awesome*

***I'm NC35 too***
