Hi,

I am going to host a group EB this weekend. And this is the first time I'm gonna do this (I mean, organize a "group EB"...well it's more like a club gathering).

Can you give me ideas on how it should go, so that no one would feel he/she is out of place. Any suggestions on how we can break the ice?

We're gonna meet in a pizza parlor. Do you think that is a good place for group EB?

If you haven't been to an EB before, then what do you expect to happen? This will help me understand tghe expectations of people who will be attending.

Please share your thoughts. Many thanks.

well I've organized a couple of EB's... you can also take tips from the veterans hanging around here... well the minus side of a public place like a restaurant is that you won't feel at home... also you can't hang out too much because they have other customers... for ice breakers well nothing beats a gregarious personality! :D

hmmm dati when i was still into organizing EBs, i usually held them in places where i could reserve seats/space. it's kinda hard to hold a party or an EB where u would be constantly worrying abt the seats of those who have just arrived. as the host (or assistant?), it's an unwritten rule that u should take care of ur guests -- make sure they're comfortable, having fun, and that the goal for ur gathering has been met.

good luck dude! :)

I used to host a lot of eb's here in my place when I was still an active chatter. The others have said it. The main thing you should be conscientious of is your guests' comfortability. It would be good if you could have ice breakers. And make sure that there's plenty of food and drinks to go around. :) As a host, you should also make it a point to circulate so that you get to know everyone and no one feels out of place. Good luck!
