I like going to a new salon in Quezon City -- Maria Victoria Punzalan Spa and salon. Their personnel are trained in the US and they use only European and American products. My barkadas also go there for skin care, facials etc. A nice place to meet nice girls with no attitudes. The operators are nice and really take care of you. Maganda rin ang may-ari taga Tate! I like calling her Miss Maria Victoria. Heto ang tel # 371-2041. Go to Timog and Scout Santiago . The salon is at # 60 Sct. Santiago. Hey lotsa classy people. Charges are very reasonable!

TIPS = to ensure personal promptness! I guess if people can afford to got to salons and not parlors... TIPS are the norm!
As I said before i go to MARIA VICTORIA PUNZALAN SKIN & HAIR SALON and their people are trained in the USA and I am sure they may not ask for tips but they certainly deserve it. The normal thing to do is to give a few pesos to the shampoo people, the nail pperson and the facial person! Try em! call them at 371-2041 (naks libre ad na sila sa akin!)

I've had the same hairstyle since i was a freshman in college. Now that i'm graduating, i definitely definitely want to have a new hairstyle. I want to keep it long..trust me, short hairstyles don't suit me! (I have a round face!) Even hairdressers i've been to agree!! I want my hair to have volume/body but i don't want it layered at the sides because that kind of style's too high maintenance.

So kikays, i need your help! What kind of hairstlye should i go for kaya? I've heard so much about BCBG and Propaganda ..who do i look for? I heard Alex is not that good with styling long hair. I want someone who'll listen to what I want and at the same time, advise me what style suits me best.

one catch though, first come, first served basis dun. so i usually have my haircut saturday mornings, yung kabubukas pa lang para walang kacompetition.

I want a haircut!!!

My last haircut was two years ago. My hair has been very cooperative-- I don't have split ends, but my hair is so plain (long, one-length, stick-straight, and very fine), and it's SCREAMING FOR A MAKE-OVER! I want a new cut that would work with my hair type, face shape, and low-key lifestyle.

Where do I go? How much do I bring?

Suggestions please! Thanks!

I have tried having my haircut at BCBG.. and man!! were they goooood!!! My hair's naturally wavy and they cut it in a way that would stylishly bring out the waves. I was really impressed because the one who did my hair (i forgot her name) really took time snippin on my layers.. very meticilous indeed. If only it doesnt cost a whopping 700 smackeroos a haircut, ima have my hair done there every single time. Girls, if you wann kick your ex's butt, go ta BCBG!!! Make yo men drool!!!!! hee heee

You guys might wann check out "The Salon" too. it's located at Pasay Road, right accross Anson's. galing din sila maggupit. i think they charge about 500 to 600 per haircut too.. but it's hella worth it!

I think the question should be WHO should cut your hair, not necessarily WHERE. Yes, I am one of those snotty people who have their own stylist. Before my hair found salvation in my stylist's hands, I tried a lot of other big-name salons, and found out that not all of these places have stylists who understand how hair should be..in other words..all that hype for nothing :bop: Don't fall prey to them...

One tip I can give you is that wherever you choose to get your hair cut, ask them not to blow dry it after your last rinse (the one where you get rid of the cut hair after the style) so you can see if the style is manageable or not. :)

I have known Alex C. for the longest time, back in the days when we were still at UST. Alex has the touch for short and long hair, you just don't rely on what people has to say, you really have to experience it and I bet, you won't be dis-appointed. My friends here in L.A. went to visit him before Christmas and they really were impressed with his style of cutting, and if you want the best make up you can ever get, try Juan Sarte and Ting Duque!

Shucks, parang gusto ko magpagupit sa propaganda, super hype na dito eh :) Pero ok naman si Danny sa Franck, sa kanya ako nirecommend when I asked to have my hair relaxed. Nakkahiya naman if I tell him na kay Angelo nalang ako papagupit diba? So I guess sa porpaganda ako magpapagupit....sino dun ang magaling with curly/wavy hair? Pag napaganda ng propaganda hair ko grabe magaling talaga sila. Buong buhay ko wala pa nagpa-impress sakin sa haircuts, challenge kasi talaga ang hair ko eh..hehehe.:D

I used to go to David's, Congressional branch but now I've switched to Headzone, Congressional where I'm a lot happier. The staff are friendlier (no attitude) and warm, there's free iced tea or coffee, there are fewer people so I don't have to wait too long to be attended to, there's a spa where I can get a massage (heaven!), and plenty of magazines (I love magazines).

The biggest factor that decided my move was that at Headzone, I felt that I was listened to by the staff. I mean, they really took the trouble to find out exactly what I wanted done to my hair, face, eyebrows, etc and then delivered. I hate stylists who think they know better than their clients and don't bother to ask before they put a ton of goop on their victims' hair or faces. I went to a salon once to get made up for a wedding and the stylist didn't even ask me if I wanted the wet look --- before I knew it I she was applying goop all over my head. It was too late to get it out and start over again. I never went back again.

used to have it in BCBG, but they closed already... then i transferred to PROPAGANDA. it's a bit expensive, but it worth your money naman eh. they have different rates, it depends on who will cut your hair. there's 500 and 750. :) try it... :) pero ito, kung mga tipong trim lang ang gusto mong mangyari, sa mga kung saang parlor ka na lang magpa-cut para cheap lang (hehe, that's what i do... :D )

if you're near mandaluyong city and on a tight budget you should check out The Piorelle salon. it's along general kalentong street near aquinas school. ask for josie she's really good tsaka right now they have a promo 75 bucks lang ang haircut and almost 50% off sa ibang services.

if you can spend more naman try Chonie K salon along shaw blvd. galing din lalo na in haircolor! my mom looked years younger after stepping out of the salon.

Kikay people I really need your help on this one. Thanks!
