i actually like seeing beautiful people-- it reminds me that there IS a God of beautiful things.

the only thing i can say is, if you don't think you're beautiful, then work on it. cut your hair, lose weight, if you think it will do you good. but the best things to do are: stand up straight, smile, and be nice. that's all you really need.

the thing with beautiful people is... most of the time, they are used to getting their way (beauty is a currency of power), and it does affect their character. that's why it would be difficult to get into a relationship with them.

Well, if i remember correctly, my husband told me guys had certain categories of 'prettiness' in which they placed women in... i know it sounds awful... hehehe, but it's nothing offensive though, girls probably do the same... but anyway.... two of these categories i still remember, the first being the oh-so gorgeous kind of girl who has the type of face which would make one sit up and take notice at first sight, but is 'nakakasawang tignan'. The second category is the 'pretty' category *scratching her head looking somewhat puzzled*... girls who fall into the 'pretty' category is the kind of girl who may not look so stunning at first glance, but get more and more beautiful the more you look at them.... ;)

You know, it's really not a big deal anymore to be 'unrealistically' beautiful nowadays. With the help of astringent, exfoliants, surgery, and finishing schools, it has become pretty easy to acquire physical beauty.

When I'm in a party filled with beatiful people, parang nagiging magkamukha na lahat.

Mas okay pa rin magkaroon ng imperfections and flaws. I know it's cliche, but these are what really make us unique. They give us, as what they call in advertising, the "branding."

I take pride in the fact that I may not be head-turning attractive, but at least, I'm real. My beauty grows on people (sabi ng ex ko). :)

it must be tiring to be TOO handsome or beautiful. too much work to keep up your image --- the endless shopping for new trends, trips to the salon, cameras constantly shoved in your face. that's why i'm thankful i'm not in showbiz or in the modeling business, but just an ordinary student, in my comfy house clothes, with my loving family, library full of books, warm friends, and unlimited internet access to post on pinoy exchange at 1 am :D

i've always been of the opinion that it's not all peachy to be drop-dead gorgeous or handsome because their looks can overshadow their personalities and others may just want to be seen with them. this is especially true for too-gorgeous women...parang men just want to gt them into bed w/o appreciating the REAL things that matter --- intelligence and a kind heart.

i actually feel a bit sorry for them and im sure some of them wish they could be more ordinary.

True! I had this college classmate who was a seatmate more than once in my econ classes. Grabe, she was unbelievably beautiful, I could have stared at her for hours. What's more, she was so cool, very smart (consistent college scholar & graduated cum laude... not sure kung magna), was making her own clothes & was actually good at it (I'd never seen her wear those kinda clothes that everyone else was wearing), never said a cheesy word in the days I knew her & talked to her, never acted phony, spoke well, very nice, good posture, very healthy skin (amazingly flawless), model-type body and height, drove a cool (yellow) top-down VW, had respectable taste in music, filthy rich (she's a daughter of some bigtime business man.. can't mention the name)... I could go on and on...

Right, life ain't fair.
