What article of clothing or footwear do you consider worth the huge amount of money you spent on it? Why?


For me, it would be the pair of boots I bought at the Marikina Shoe Expo for PhP 2,000 a year ago. It's great for wearing either to school or going out on gimmicks. Not to mention, baha-proof! :)

A shirt, but not just any shirt! I like shirts with cool designs, like anime drawings and stuff. I don't go for the brand, but the design. Once, I shelled out 1000 bucks to get a Ghost in Shell shirt. Another time, I bought a Final Fantasy 7 shirt for P1200. :)

Yes, Marks & Spencer is one of my favorites (next to bookstores). In Hongkong, my brother and I would troop over to M&S at the first hour of shopping and come out with lots of bags.

I once bought a really expensive black blazer (don't ask how much). But it was worth it because it made any work outfit look classy.

clothing?...i have so many favourite pieces (meron pang mga runner-ups:lol :). but i agree with the others about M&S. i used to give my white school socks a lot of punishment in grade school/high school and they STILL lasted the whole year! last year they came out with these classic cropped round/vee-neck tees. loved it sooo much i got it in 5 colours! http://www.pinoyexchange.com/blush.gif anyway, i use them all the time and they don't look the worse for wear. :)

footwear...i got these black sandals with velcro straps and rubberised soles from Fornarina (or something like that) 2 yrs ago. i used to wear them everyday so they're really ratty now but i REALLY love them! :)

almost all my stuff from diesel and banana republic are well worth the price i paid them for. And a lot of my stuff from M&S since grade school are still with me...ok nga sa quality e. For shoes, the JP TOds i have..got it for 250 dollars...it's been with me for 8 years. as for bags, all my coach and gucci bags look like they're good as new.

The ones I consider worth the small fortune I parted with are my Bally shoes, Italian boots, clothes from Mango, and Coach bags. They retain their quality inspite of the amount of abuse I manage to dish out on them.

yup, M&S is worth it! i love their underwear, lalo na the new thongs that are out now. my philosophy is, scrimp on everything else, except for your underwear.

other stuff that are worth it: my Levi's,white tank tops, my sexy strappy platforms, and this huge furry animal-print bag i got at guess. nearly 3000 bucks, but double-duties as a pillow....

The other is my Doc Martens boots, been through ice, rain, flood, sun for 5 years and it's still intact.

My Nike Air Presto rubber shoes :) The pair is kinda expensive but it looks durable and it's really comfortable. Really good quality shoes.

Unlike the expensive shoe brands that sell for more than 4 thousand bucks in the Philippines but only cost like a fraction of that abroad! Marks and Spencer is only "bangketa" in London, and Nine West is a designer impostor brand in the States (here it's practically designer). You can't really vouch for their quality.

There was a time na super naaddict ako sa M&S and uso yung drawstring pants noon and shempre meron sa M&S, lahat ng colors binili ko. Siguro 3 months puros yung mga yun lang suot suot ko. Till now oks parin sila. :D As in I spent (well, sige my mother) a small fortune on them. Pero worth it!

Ang ayaw ko lang sa M&S, minsan pag wala na sha sa uso, nanghihinayang ka ipamigay kasi sobrang oks pa ng quality and *medyo lang* mahal sha.

The single most expensive item I ever bought on a whim and was totally worth it was my pair Sketchers Sport that costs P2,600. I was just went to the mall to see what the trends were, when I passed by a Sketchers display and saw those smashing-looking Photons. Ayun, I tried it on agad in my size, walked around for a second and ask my b/f's opinion on it (he was window-shopping with me too). So he said it looks good on me and I loved the way it fit and looked so I bought it. :D I'm currently wearing it right now and it looks great as ever!

Nothing beats Marks and Spencer...I love their denims---they're sooo comfortable!

They have simple designs, simple cuts but they're clothes really stand out because they use quality materials. Too bad, they are not so many New Arrivals the past few months...I heard they had to close a few shops worldwide.

I also have a RL bag and wallet that I bought way back in 1994 and I still use them up to now.

Any of my DMs, DAMN! i love the quality of those shoes. It can last for a decade even if you use it everyday. You don't even need to clean it regularly. And it is also comfortable to use. A 4500+ DMs is definitely better than any Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Kenneth Cole and even Ferra Gamo (did i got it right?)
