Most cities here in U.S. are worth visiting. Each and every state represent a unique theme of cities!

...and may I recommend:

• Los Angeles, CA - Don't miss this one! make sure you visit DisneyLand, Universal studios Hollywood, Beverly Hills, MagicMountain, Sta. monica, Downtown L.A., Old Town Pasadena, Staples Center(Lakers) and many more!

I choose NY,I never been to a big city. I been to many places mostly are country place. I dream about watching broadway show like Les Miserables. I am not get use to it to the city. I am not being prerudice actually I like city. Second choice are those have disneyland like Florida and California for the kids. Kansas City is a great place, I remenber I been to the worlds of fun. Hey, you know what I thought it help me a lots when I ride roller coaster kasi that time home sick ako. Funny experience isn't it. Half my life country and city I am adjusted in both places.

those cities mentioned are the fun cities ... besides being expensive as well ... if you want to see the REAL AMERICA ... mag drive ka chicago to cincinnati at sa gitna diyaan ...witness the "amber waves of grain" ... na ang kapitbahay ng isang bahay eh isang milya ang layo ... na ang masusundan mong ssakyan eh interstate trucker na ang driver eh pagkahaba haba ng bigote at ang kasama niya ay ang kanyang asawa pero kung kakausapin mo sila .. mag-iingat ka kasi pwedeng racist yang **** na yan .. pero generally mabait naman ... pwede rin mag-drive ka from cincinnati to detroit.. dalawang oras lang pero huwag dadaan sa interstate to see the real backwoods america ... makakita ka sa tabi ng kalye ... 2-way street lang .. ng sari sari store na may tindang prutas .. para kang nasa lucena ... hehehe yan ang dapat mo makita ....

Almost ever city in the US that I've been to is worth checking out because each has a character of its own. But if you fall underthe typical "tourist" category, Oralndo, Florida is a pretty cool place with all its theme parks. If its shopping you're after, go to Barstow! :) As for myself, I'd like to visit New Orleans because it intrigues me :)

Cali has a lot of theme parks and beautiful places like sceneries etc... and the people are a lot nicer. Also, the majority of the Filipino population resides in Cali, so you wouldn't feel out of place since there are SO many kababayans around. New York, well, yes I was born there but I see that place as kinda ghetto and not too friendly. I know it's a stereotype but life there is so fast and it feels lonely there, even my mom thinks so. Cali is more hospitable and relaxed (in my opinion) and New York is where the "tough" folks stay.

Hindi lang prutas, linagang mani pa. :-) Try driving from VA to SC to NC.

Drive the PA, OH, IN, IL, WI stretch. That's the central plains of Luzon...errr.... midwest. :-)

But New England is the place to be, especially in the Fall. There you will also appreciate the changing of the seasons year round.

if you want some good camping experience, or just plain outdoor experience...go to OREGON! portland has lots of attractions to offer...& WITH GOOD & FRIENDLY PEOPLE TOO! not like in LA... (i'm not spicing up anything, just saying the real deal here on how people here find california) though maganda rin sa california..

then Denver, Colorado

Go to Chicago. Everything you would like to see is there or near there. There are amusement parks, great museums, shops. It's kept very clean especially on the shoreling of Lake Michigan. If you want to see farm land its less than an hour out of town.

Definitely San Francisco. I know my way around there pretty much, there's a lot to see, like Embarcadero Center, and it's very scenic. I like the Bay bridge, and we have a house in Oakland. Nice city, easy to navigate, and the Bart rules! You can get flowers from every station for that "Hi honey, I'm home" feeling hehehe.

If you want to go skiing, however, Lake Tahoe, Nevada is the BOMB! :D :D :D

Chicago!!! You can go sporty by going to the United Center (home of the Bulls and Blackhawks), Comiskey Park (home of the White Sox), Wrigley Field (home of the Cubs) or Soldier Field (home of the Bears and Fire). Then you could go intellectual by passing by the Field Museum, John G. Shedd Aquarium, or the Adler Planetarium which are all very conveniently beside one another. :D Just walking around downtown is a treat as you can check out the Tribune Tower (built with stones from different places across the world like the Vatican and even Fort Bonifacio!:eek :), the Wrigley Building or just walk across The Magnificent Mile a.k.a. North Michigan Avenue. It is a shopper's dream come true as stores like Borders, Levi's, GAP, Niketown, Ermenegildo Zegna, Sony, FAO Schwartz, etc. are lined up on the street. For a full shopping workout, just enter the Water Tower Place and you're set for shopping at FAO Schweetz, GAP kids, Lids, Abercrombie and Fitch, The Sharper Image, etc.

You can't lose by going to Chicago! http://www.pinoyexchange.com/smokin.gif

http://www.pinoyexchange.com/angel.gif CHICAGO is definitely the best place to visit if your in the US>; Their transportation system is sooooo efficient, you don't need a car to get around, unlike the cities in California.

Just like any other city, Chicago has its bad side of town. Pero why would you go ther if you know na magulo don? Just like here in Recto or Quiapo, given na any moment someone might snatch your jewelry so you don't wear any na.

Visit Chicago, its very clean and safe

hmmm... so far ok pa naman mga napuntahan kong cities and suburbs sa US:

chicago - ok siya kasi nga halo mga modern at medyo historical na places, like what The Rock has mentioned. unang punta ko sa states dun kami nag-gala.

minneapolis - just got a glimpse of it through the mall of america and its airport. mukhang ok din. sandali lang kasi ako dun.

los angeles (pati yung mga kalapit niya) - no one should miss this place pag nasa states. kita mo talaga yung mix ng mga tao sa mga lugar dito. sa santa monica beach, sa disneyland, universal studios, magic mountain, etc. i've been to norwalk and cerritos, dami pinoy dun. dami din mexicano. if you have time pwede din kayo sumaglit sa tijuana, mexico. parang maynila din, kung miss mo na ang maynila, hehehe... :D

phoenix (and other places in arizona) - save for the sweltering heat, ok din itong place na ito. the grand canyon state. majestic talaga siya. pero mas nagustuhan ko yung place called sedona, with its red rocks and everything.

michigan - before, michigan for me was just detroit. not anymore. dami lakes dito sa state na ito. dito ko talaga naranasan mabuhay sa america. long drives during weekends, forests in cities, ok na ok. there are places na tahimik, there are places na sobrang city. while you're in michigan, try driving up north para makapunta kayo sa upper peninsula at sa historic na mackinac island. ok itong place na ito kasi hindi allowed ang motorized vehicles. puro horse-drawn carriages at bikes. kakainis nga lang kasi... hehe... amoy-kabayo dito. :D

Mtn. View, CA - the heart of Silicon Valley. It's a train ride to SFO, a quiet place to live in, tech companies everywhere, restaurants are right at the strip...what else do you need?

but i also love NYC....but i don't think i can actually live in NYC, i'd rather visit it once in a while.

i would say in San Francisco coz it has good weather compare to new york & l.a. cool malls (union square), food, people, the wharf, bridges, houses (victorian style), cable cars, the bart(it's like a train/subway)... eventhough expenssive dun magstay. astig yung Castro street! haha! :):):) malapit din sya sa vallejo (6th flags!), napa valley, lake tahoe, sausalito, oakland, reno, hercules (misyah bri!) and pleasenton!

if you were gonna go to the US, my suggestions would be Chicago, San Francisco and NYC for reasons already mentioned by the others.

I haven't been to Seattle, New Orleans, and Miami. Those are the cities I want to visit next. But before those cities, I really, really want to visit Vancouver, British Columbia That place is like Hong Kong! Lots of Cantonese, mountains in the background, awesome weather, great urban area, relaxed atmosphere, Hollywood of the Northwest, etc.... It's really intriguing!!! One of these days..... :)

Why does everyone feel some need to visit CITIES? Cities are everywhere... and make more pricey travelling than touring the countryside.

And Disneyland? Amusement parks, like Mickey Mouse, are also everywhere... how about some imagination, my friends?

How about renting a car and checking out the Big Sky of Montana or the mountains of West Virginia during the summer? Or getting the hell out of LA/San Fran when you fly in and drive up the Pacific Coast HWY 1? Or drive south and check out Baja Mexico? Or if you are your pinsan's in NY/NJ, take some extra time and see New England (or Pennsylvania if you don't have as much time) during the fall and see the leaves change colour?

Much more rewarding than some of that urban stuff. I speak as a native-born citizen of the US who has been fortunate enough to see a good deal of America.

Small towns are underated, but then so is actually travelling outside of a "packaged tour mentality"...

Texas, Louisiana or any state from the south discriminates against Asians pag hindi ka puti patay ka. It's not obvious pero mayroon pa rin. Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Seattle etc. is ideal for Pinoys. You are in the States pero parang nasa Manila pa rin. You can eat and enjoy things you did in Manila.
