Last time we went to Makati for a dinner party, my friend with the overprotective-super-strict parents gave her permission to go with us on one condition -- she be home by 10PM.. which i think is pretty unreasonable given that she lives way over in Bulacan... :(

Alvs^, well i'm a college senior and I have to be home by 9pm. That really sucks given that I'm way past 20. This enforced "strictness" makes me go out without my parents knowing about it. I mean, I'd tell them I have to go overnite because of some project but it's usually an outing with my barkada. Although most of the time, there really is a project but we do it at the latest time possible and we go out before that. :(

the idea of my having a curfew flew out the window as soon as i graduated. like i can go home at 7 in the morning, or at noon if i decide to sleepover. i think it helps that i can be contacted at anytime thru my fone, and i never hide where i am or who i am with or what i'd be doing.
at the same time i don't make a habit of it, going home at weird hours, that is. i still try to get home at a *reasonable* time whenever i can.

but i did go through the whole hirap-paalam -- even chaperones at one point! -- and now, it's home free :) [literally and figuratively, haha]

I never really had a fixed curfew all my life, but whenever I'd get home past a certain time (depending on my mom's mood that night), I'd never hear the end of it from my her(she painstakingly waits up for us kids!).
But, in recent times, we struck up a deal which I think is pretty reasonable. Before, she used to bug me a gazillion times on my cellphone where I am, how come I'm not home yet, etc. So, now, we came up with this deal: Everytime I'd go out at night, she asks me what time I figure I'd get home. Of course, depending on what time I left the house, I tell her, say, 2am. Once that's set, she expects that I get home as I promised. Now, if it's even just a minute past that set time & she still doesn't here me knocking at our gate, then that's the only time she starts bugging me on my cellphone. Otherwise, she lets me be the whole night!
I think it's a pretty cool deal. Try it, it's worked for me so far.

Well, this was when I was still in the Philippines. :) Tsaka minsan lang naman eh... tuwing may debut ang isang friend, or gimik once in a while. Latest kong umuwi was around 3-4 AM.

When I first turned 18, I had to be home by 3 am. :grrr:

Now though, if I leave at 2am, I'm expected home before 12noon of that day.

But sometimes it depends on who I'm with. Kung kasama ko yung best friend ko, my parents are pretty lenient because kilala na nila si Sam since 1st year highschool a ako at alam nila he cares for me too much to ever let anything happen to me. So sometimes I go out at 11pm on the Friday night and am home by 10pm Sunday night.

while i was still in college, around 2am but on the latter part, they didnt really care as long i get good grades. now, wala na coz they're like thousands of miles away. its my discretion na lang. but i want to go home by 2 or 3 a.m. there's really nothing much to do after two since bars close down early.
