I can never really get tired of flare pants. Di kasi mashadong bagay sa akin yung baggy pants. I like the fit and the comfort they provide. :)

I can never get tired of flare pants plus they're really good to look at when you where them.
Even some capri pants are sort of flared!
Hmm.. but I haven't found my perfect pair of flared pants though...

Maka-flare pants din ako!!! I think uso pa rin, even sa States.

Flares is something that will always be a classic, as in it will never die...You guys gotta admit that it looks waaay better than all the other kinds of pants that became "uso" before (i.e.BAGGY pants, or hella tight butt-hugger jeans)...Regarding what's uso here in the US, as of right now, it's those parachute pants that go half-way between the knees and ankles (and has a draw-string thing at the bottom), those pants that have a zipper that you could turn into shorts-to-capris-to-pants, cargos (classic too)and capris...but flares...will never die! And Nsyncs Pinaylovr, what you said is so true! People in the Philippines are too worried about what's in and what's not..like they don't ever want to be caught out of style..Here, they don't really care what you wear at all! As long as you're comfy. =)

ditto MsAnonymous...
what i hate lang about some flare pants is yung mga designs nila minsan na exaggerated na! shheessh!
what i like naman about flares is that they're so nice with shoes... i mean, when you wear them you don't have to worry with the baba of your pants crumpling near your shoes... :D

I'm vacationing sa Pinas ngayon, and let me tell you, the parachute pants is catching on. Wala pa akong masyadong nakikita, but once I wore one, aba, ang titig ng mga tao. Pero I went to ATC and passed by Nautica (I think) and I noticed na they're already selling those kind kaya don't be so surprised kung yun naman ang sumunod na uso. Ngayon, talang way into capris ang mga tao here. I think the majority of them don't even call them as such. I think, "pedal pusher" yata ang tawag nila. I also passed by Dockers and saw that they're selling those shorts-to-capris-to-pants pants too. Yung cargo pants, medyo IN na rin, pero as always, I remember the look people were giving me last year nung bumisita ako ng Pinas and I was wearing my cargos, pero huwag ka, one year later, gagayahin rin naman pala nila!

Hi Nsyncs Pinaylovr! You're so lucky!!! Last time I went to PI was 1997 and we only got to stay there 2 weeks...sux :(..but we're kinda thinking of going back next year for a vacation so it's all good~! :)
Anyhoo, just don't mind those naive people who make fun.........That's the disappointing thing with some pinoys in PI...It's like if you wear something unique, they'll automatically make fun at first...then when they start noticing other people wearing it, gagaya naman, just to keep up and be "uso"....*sigh*...I swear..that attitude gotta go but oh wellz...some pinoys talaga....they're probably just jealous anyway. ;)

I think flare or bootleg cut pants are and always will a classic. Take note I didn't mention bell bottom, sila nanam yung exagerated version ng flare or bootleg. Technically speaking flares afford the wearer the illusion of longer and thinner legs. Mainly I think it's becuase the pants hug towards the top but loosen towards the bottom so you can't really tell where the leg stops and the ankle begins so the eye moves down the leg in a smooth fluid path.
I started wearing flares/bootleg cut pants about five years ago when they came back into style and haven't stopped wearing them and nothing else since. Long live the flare! :D
