Scary sa Festi, eh...super dami nang "incidents" don. Pero when I was in highschool, we used to hang out in Festi kasi andon yung Gameworx and bf ng bestfriend ko yung owner. Pero ngayon medyo bumaduy na yung Gameworx, eh. Pati di mashado maganda yung starbucks sa festi. Matagal na kasi ang Town Center, and even nung high school kami, that's our favorite hang out. Pero nung umuwi kami ng Pinas, once lang akong bumisita sa ATC kasi almost every chance we got, nasa Festival kami. Malimit cause of Gameworx, lalo na kapag trip mag-bowling.

alabang town center pa din....limited lang kasi shops sa festival kahit na sobrang laki niya....

pero mas maganda movie house sa festival...ngayon, nire-renovate na movie house ng town center, kaya siguro gaganda na rin siya....sarap sa town, feeling mo nasa province ka talaga.....

kaya sa mga taga-north, lumipat na kayo dito sa south....magaganda na ang mga tao, sarap pa mag-mall-ing....walang bomba-bomba :D

I think the main reason why I liked Filinvest better, other than the Gameworx, was because I felt so at home. It has that American mall ambiance to it, or at at least, like the malls around our area.

Not from the South, but since I date someone from there, I prefer ATC. Its really got that Southern California kinda feeling eh. Very airy, and most of the shops in Glorietta are here as well.

mas homey and relaxing ang atc...tapos everytime i go there i see at least one of my batchmates! nung highschool kasi second na namin ang atc! now naman one of our batchmates may store dun...so mas lalong nagiging hangout place!

but what people should look out for is the unveiling of the new Greenbelt Mall! it is what the Town looked like before it got airconditioned, and a lot more. think of central park!

This depends kung anong mood ko.

If i want to hang out with my friends, definitly sa ATC kami pupunta. yung tipong naka-shorts and shirt lang with sandals.

Festival is okay kung major shopping na mas-makakamura yung gusto mo. Parang pang-masa yung mall na to kaya lang mas-social na crowd than the ones in SM Southmall. If you want to make pa-cute, Gameworx is the place to be!!!

Parehong maganda yung malls kayalang depends din sa day na pupunta ka kasi Festival is nearer sa highway kaya paminsan panay -taga province yung andun!

definitely alabang town center! mas trip ko ang layout ng mall dun... and as the peeps here have been saying, ok ang ambience! and the structures are really cool! parang park na may stores! and they've got everything there! tower records, powerbooks, bibliarch! they've got excellent selections of bars and restos also! i enjoy strolling leisurely around the mall, without complaining about my feet! sa festival, hindi masyadong ok ang layout-- makukunsume kalang sa layo ng tatahakin mo to get from, say nine west to the food court!masyadong malawak... :)

i dug up this thread because i recently started working in alabang, close to both filinvest and town center.

i'm a "starbucks victim", and i can say the one in filinvest is nicer than that in town--less crowded, more conducive to long conversations. otherwise, i like town better. you can just hang out in the open-air central area. or read a book in powerbooks which, i just discovered, is open until late. the cinemas are nice, too. i can't talk about the shops, kasi my budget will only take me as far as hanging out. :) my only complaint is the shortage of decent bars to go to for a quiet after-hours drink or two. san mig looks like a hang-out for old people. cable car is okay sana except for the sounds and the fact that they can't make a decent tom collins. and fat tuesday is too dark and too loud.

Ditto! In high school (nyuk, as if ang tanda ko, I just graduated this year) we'd always go to ATC. Shempre, when Festi opened, we'd go there to try it out... admittedly, Festi has more stores, and schtuff to do (Gameworx, X-Site, etc.) but ATC really has this homey feel. I like hanging out in Corte de las Palmas, and the architecture of ATC is just so different from the standard mall. There's a more relaxed ambience, unlike Festi where there are so many people. And sometimes having so many choices of what to do and where to go can be overwhelming.

one time my officemates and i went to festival mall to watch a free concert featuring freestyle(free entertainment!). daming tao. we were already way out in the back, and people were still coming. a bunch of teenagers in hip-hop clothes took their place near us. nagkakasayahan na sa concert, and then those kids started slam-dancing! . oks lang sana, they were just having fun. but to the tune of bakit ba ganyan?. duh! kinda makes you long for the old days when hip-hops and punks hung out at the malls and stuck to their own brand of ethics. anyways, we were getting jostled in our place, and i was getting irritated so what i did, i slammed them right back. e napikon yata yung mga loko. lumipat na lang kami, mahirap nang mapaaway in a freestyle concert. :p

another time, i watched a free concert (when you're wroking hard for every peso, free entertainment is like manna) at town center. this was the new river maya. the lead singer was really getting the crowd all pumped up in true rock star fashion. there was some slamming and moshing up in front (including some caucasian kids who probably didn't understand the tagalog lyrics but were just getting into the groove), but it was definitely more laid back, considering na river maya yung tumutugtog. even the jolog-looking kids there were just okay.

the bottomline is, parang mas well-behaved yung mga tao sa town, and i'm not just taking about the rich people who hang out over there--it's not a class thing.

i'm not like you guys na alabang town na eversince. i've started malling here in alabang just a couple of years pa lang, so i can say i can compare these two malls without bias.

and the winner is:
Alabang Town Center. i like it coz it's different from other malls. it's very relaxing. okay yung ambiance and yung people. i could stay there for the whole night and not feel bored at all. i could go there to shop or simply unwind. ;)

one thing that annoys me the most sa filinvest is yung mga nag-didistribute ng flyers for insurance, na talagang hahabulin ka pa just to get your attention. it's really irritates me! :scream:

Town Center...i love hanging out at the Cortes de las Palmas area. I like the laid-back atmosphere, the fact that you can hang around in shorts and flipflops...mas relaxing. Sobrang daming tao sa Festival Mall, although I do like the Starbucks there better than the one in ATC; and ofcourse, Bravo is in Festival. :)

for me, una - SM Southmall kasi lapit lang namin dun at saka di ako nalilito sa pasikut-sikot dun dahil pa-square lang yun, at saka affordable ang prices.

pangalawa - ATC kase, sosyal naman ang dating, at
maraming items dun na wala sa SM. at saka ang daming diners na wala sa SM. tapos, pag may concerts dun, di nakakaperwisyo ang dami ng tao sa ibang daanan.

third - Festival kase, nahihilo ako dun. di ko masaulo mga
pasikut-sikot, at pag maraming tao parang ang sikip-sikip. pero ok naman ang moviehouses nila, malamig at malinis.
