When someone takes a picture of you...How do you strike a pose? Of course you have to be natural. But sometimes you want to look your best in da pictures. Some people are photogenic some aren't. One of the things that really makes a person look good in pictures is when he or she smiles (not too much though).
Do you look exactly like the person in da pictures? I remember during HS graduation when we were exchanging grad photos some of the girls would tell me.."Uy WAGgy, thanks for the complement ah..I know what you are thinking, I look better in person"..hehehehe..and it's true some peeps look better in person.
Any funny or striking poses that you would like to share.

i always smile and bear my teeth! i hate not knowing when my pic is being taken because i usually look awful when caught candid! kaya smile to the max! i've been told that all my pix (when i'm naka-smile) look the same. :D

I usually look better in pictures except when my eyes are half-closed (involuntary reaction to the flash) or I'm biting my lower lip (makes my teeth look even bigger), that is. It's actually a good thing since I read somewhere that the way you look in pictures is how the rest of the world sees you as compared to seeing an inverted image on the mirror. :D :D :D

Hmmm.. hard to say. Some people say that I look different in pictures. Lalo na yung HS grad pic ko. Nakupo.. they said that I looked neneng nene. Is it possible for your face to change that much in a span of 4 years?

i dont smile much less the dimples come out and i look chubbier than i am...

same with Gilbey.. i look better in pix.. nkakainis nga eh when sum1 says ur photogenic... it'd only mean one thing... sna picture ka na lang.. :D
anyway, before the bulb goes off, i often shut my eyes real tight and pucker my lips, then just right before the cameraman snaps away, i say "white" then beam my eyes open... i dunno how i started this, but it seems to work coz my eyes do look beaming and m getn my full smile in the pix.. hehe...

i saw on Oprah that you should take deep breaths before the shot, and when the counting of whoever taking the picture ends at 3..that's when you smile  this works for obvious reasons since when you're smiling the whole time your face ends up stiff & the smile looks unnatural! :unhappy: think happy thoughts din daw, that way you're smile looks like it wasn't faked *okay*

pag naka full smile. i hate pictures where i have to give a "half smile"
kasi nung wedding ng sister ko, the photographer keeps telling me na "half smile" lang. kaso ndi ko magawa talaga!!!

i look the same, basically...or so i think. What im really sure is I look better without thick make up. I hate my graduation photo - -sobra kapal ng makeup nakakatakot :P
i think I'm a natural when it comes to photos :)) LOL! Seriously, just be relaxed and happy...and of course, less make up is always better :P

i thought this thread was asking for tips on how to look good on cam??????
ok, here it goes... have a good posture. chin down. show 60% of one side of your face and the next 40% should be from your other side of the face. (para magmukhang maliit ang face or para magmukhang payat.) know your good side.( hindi kasi pantay ang mukha natin esp the eyes.) kung mataba ka kaya gusto mo chin up to hide the double chin, extend your neck forward instead of chin up.

Don't mind the camera and you'll be just fine. If you're the camera guy/gal, don't make your subjects wait. Snapshots are the best unless you can get all of them to say CHEEEEESE! :)

My cousin and her boyfriend (both photographers) advise to say "Wednesday" when you take a smile-shot...looks more natural than saying "cheese". My friend also says to say "money"...that usually brings a smile to people's faces anyway...
Less make-up is definitely more, as caryatid_kitten mentioned but powder is yer best friend...it's not cool to look oily sa pix...if yer concerned about adding more make-up, instead of powder use oil-blotting or oil-absorbing sheets...
