It was just my observation. Andami na nila in the places na formerly e frequented by people in their early 20s. Like one time, I was at Glorietta, and there was this noise, and lo and behold there they were, teens (probably 16-ners)in scooters (a whole pack of them)at 3 in the morning, rounding the bend of the circle going to Streetlife. Even on weekdays, nagugulat ako, bec. they jam & hang around til the wee hours of the morning. Where the hell r their parents!!! R their parents too afraid to tell them abt. certain limits? R they talking to them at all. I am disturbed by all of it. Me basis ba tong observation ko?

your observation is so true! i'm not that old but when i was still in that age (15,16 yrs. old) i remember that not all of us (my friends and i) could stay up that late. there were certain people lang who could be still out at such a time, but lately, it's the young ones who go out more often, and stay out later..and it looks like their parents have no problem with that! daya hahahaha i'm sure that's what the older people say about us as well!
I don't think so. When I was their age, a lot of my classmates and friends hung around in gimik places till the wee hours of the morning na rin. I guess presently kasi there are more places to hang out in na, so hindi na sila magka-kumpol kumpol in a certain place, that's why you see them all around town.

indeed there are a lot of hs kids staying out really late these days...it's sad coz minamadali nilang tumanda...i wish i can go back to hs so i can still act like a kid...
when ur in college kasi everybody expects u to be "grown-up"
i got one issue though with these hs kids (specially the girls) the way they dress totally appall me! super skimpy clothes!

When I was in highschool... well hanggang ngayon... hindi pa rin ako pinapayagan masyado lumabas... ayoko nang imention kung ano yun idea ko ng "gimmick" nung highschool.. hehehe :)

you're just going to the wrong places. pero oo nga daming kids. ang bad trip doon ang feeling nung mga kids. parang ummm... hey kid alam mo ba ang lasa ng beer? nageenjoy kaya sila ng ganun? parang tatayo lang sila doon with their baggy pants tpos fubu shirts tpos nasa labas sila ng bar kse nde sila pinapapasok o kaya nde pinapainom.

I agree with you, ross! You see that "phenomenon" especially in The Fort's parking lot...ang daming riceboys who just stay there with coolersful of SMB, sitting on their hood, drinking. Kainis! They're either, a)not allowed to enter the establishments because they're underage, or b) They don't have enough money to pay for food and drinks, or c) all of the above. Some even go to the extent of ordering beer in some establishments then making a run for it dahil wala silang pambayad. Height of pretentiousness talaga!! Kung wala namang K, I say, don't bother.

Ira: It's even more disturbing to see them hanging around those establishments. U can see them practically bored (considering that they r w their so-called friends and all). I just can't figure that one out. More like Waiting for Godot scenes. Really Eerie! Has Life failed to show them sumthing? Who failed at what?

Yes, they are! And they're everywhere! :)
Most of them actually are under the impression that going out is a necessity. Yun naman yata yung idea of a gimmick ngayon eh, go to a place to see people and let other people see you.

So where do these clowns get the impresssion that they should be seen and heard? I don't want to see them, frankly. The young crowds ruin gimmick places--see where The Fort is now.
