i miss davao.

it has the modernities of manila and cebu. the pace of life is slow, just enough for you to appreciate life but not boring. food also is cheap and fresh.

the last time i was there, maraming wala. walang traffic, walang bagyo, walang brownouts ...

hey my friends,

if u haven't been to ilocos norte, i guess you should go there, my family's roots came from the ilocos region and i was fascinated when we went to pagudpud, ilocos norte, well, the place is really heaven..(i juts don't know why??) that's why its a fave shooting place of reyna films...

in the south, would want to wander around camuigin to taste the sweetest lanzones in the Phils. (better pa daw sa paete, laguna's) and the maharlika rambutan..wow..sarap!!!...also want to roam around capiz...exciting siguro na makakita ng mga lumilipad na aswang sa himpapawid..that will be cool!!!!...

I've been to Batanes like 7 years ago for a leadership seminar. We were only supposed to stay there from one whole week but then the plane was unable to land because of the weather. Since planes land there twice a week, we had to wait for another whole week before we got home. The nice thing was, it was the second week that was a blast! Since walang programme or agenda for the second week, we did anything we could think of!

During that time, all electricity was turned off at 6PM, ewan ko lang ngayon. When we were on our way home, the plane couldn't go straight to Manila so we were dropped off sa Tuguegarao. From there we took the bus to Manila. Alam niyo, it's when all your plans get ****ed that all becomes too exciting!!!!! :D

maxine: Yup, especially the hills and rocks right beside the seashore! Grabe ang angas talaga doon! Especially when the hill is so high and right beside it are rocks where waves crash through! Sarap pa because we went there with some Ivatan girls we met. Hehehe. :D

Anybody been to the Agusan Marsh? This place was featured in Action Asia magazine several years ago. Was there in July '99, a very wet month. Agusan Marsh is a catch basin of several mountain streams and rivers that drain out into the mighty Agusan River. It is located south of Prosperidad, the capital of Agusan del Sur. It is a national integrated protected area .... ibig sabihin, lush, virgin, very high biodiversity level. Kaso lang, going there is in itself one big adventure, that is if you don't mind going wild. Starts with a short road trip from Butuan City, then you navigate 2 rivers in a narrow river bus. When you get to the village of Loreto, it's on motorbikes (5 passengers to a bike!) up to an abandoned lumber mill in Kasapa. Your hosts will be a tribe of gentle Manobos headed by their supreme Datu Tagleong. The rewards are plenty .... crocodiles in the wild, purple herons, monkeys, wild boars, american strain deer, giant grass carps and catfish in mountain streams, fresh clean and crisp mountain air, sweet and envigorating rainshowers and awesome sceneries.

Kal-sky, that would be BAIS, a city in Negros Oriental. I've been there once, went dolphin and whale watching. It was some experience! :)

I want to go to Camiguin, Palawan, and I heard the caves in Leyte are something else! Since I'm from the Visayas, I heard there are lots of beautiful provinces in Luzon.

batanes (but its very hard go there with only several flights a week either via LAOAG or TUGUEGARAO.. have been there and i find it very remote!!! im from marinduque and im wondering lots of pexers wants to go there.. I travelled almost all the islands here and i prefer to settle in CEBU or BAGUIO as one of the best place in the country.. DAVAO is also great but there is a problem in the peace & order outside the city proper..
to try something different try JOLO and BASILAN, the place is good and you will see lots of firearms everywhere including the kids!
PALAWAN, CAMIGUIN and GUIMARAS are also great islands to visit... try it and see it for your self!

i love going places... :drool: but because of my work schedule, my traveling became less, unlike when i was in college. however, i would like to see DAVAO, with all those beautiful flowers and yummy fruits!!! :sunflower: pero, there is no place than beaches in zambales!!! *palmtree*

I also want to go back to Siargao and Davao.

I just came back from Cebu and anyone who is planning a trip there should really make time to go to Bantayan Island. The beaches are peaceful and clean and the sand is about as soft as baby powder.

1) Bukidnon - specifically Valencia, Malaybalay, and Phillips (wala lang)

2) Antique coming from Iloilo - the route is picturesque and breathtaking

3) Cagayan coming all the way from Manila - my current crush is from Tuguegarao

4) Manila to Davao or Tacloban or Cebu by bus - I want to know how it feels like to travel for days on the road

5) Basilan - yup, Abu Sayyaf and all, I'm really appalled by the mystery and enigma of this place

6) Saranggani Island - I heard it has unspoiled beaches

7) Abra - who would think that someone would want to go to Abra? I just want to be different!

8) Aurora subprovince during the rainy season - days and nights of continuous rains and buffeting winds

9) Quirino province - splendid views

10) the Eastern towns of Nueva Ecija like Bongabon, Carranglan, Laur - my dad's from Nueva Ecija but I've only reached as far as Talavera

The famous islands nowadays: BASILAN, JOLO and TAWI-TAWI.. I just came from ZAMBOANGA last week and these islands are just near.. but of course at your own risk!!! Living there is not highly recommended except if you want adventure, go ahead...

to: bruhilda... What do you want to see in Vigan? All you can see there are the old houses preserved by the local government, a museum and some pottery.. You're right, travel time is about 8 hours depending on traffic of course.. Its better to go to Laoag instead.. I used to be assigned in this areas before. You have lots of choices here: Malacanang of the North, Sarrat Church and Waterfront Hotels (Fort Ilocandia) with very good beaches just at the back of the hotel.. You can also proceed to Pagudpud for the breathtaking view of Batanes and the Babuyan Channel. The beach here is really great!!

I go for Batanes, Pagudpud(Ilocos Norte) and Bolinao(Pangasinan) north of Manila and Camiguin and Dakak in Zamboanga del Norte in the south. But right now, it might be dangerous going to parts there in Zamboanga with regards to the Abu Sayyaf groups.
