SBC- no doubt boybits victoria, he's the only red lion i know who almost led san beda to an NCAA title if not only for MIT's benny cheng's game winning shot in game 3 of the 1991 NCAA finals thats the closest san beda could get in winning an NCAA title since 1978.

PHCR- bong hawkins the only PHCR cager with legit stardom status in the pros.

SSC- rommel adducul led the stags to 5 straight NCAA titles.

LETRAN- samboy lim the only knight included in the 25 greatest player in the PBA.

CSB- sunday salvacion the only blazer i know who's in the PBA.

MIT- alvin patrimonio 2 time NCAA MVP & 4 time PBA MVP.

Kung NC playing career lang I think Eugene Quilban should be among the greats. Of course the old man, Caloy Loyzaga, is the greatest. Alvin Patrimonio was the lone bright spot in Mapua during his time and I'd pick Rommel Adducul over him if NC it is reduced to their careers. Samboy Lim was pretty much overlooked by the award-giving bodies although you would not notice that form the crowd's reaction.

Avelino "Samboy" Lim, Jr. wasn't given the monicker The Skywalker for nothing. The premier aerial acrobat of the 80's to mid-90's still remain as a fan favorite and one of the most well-loved athlete in the PBA despite a career marred by injuries. But when healthy, Lim literaly soars putting even the best of the NBA to shame. In fact, fans on the other side of the fence can't help but cheer this Beerman when he's on the floor.

Gifted with plenty of airtime that enables him to change shots in mid-air and a vertical unimaginable for a 6-0 player, he is also the owner of a dynamic penetration move that enables him to free himself from traffic or to go one-on-one. He can score off those classic fade away jumpers from the perimeter and even provide three-pointers when opportunity knocks.

He is remembered for his unique free throw habit and his long white socks--a tribute to his idol NBA-legend Julius Erving. Despite not winning an MVP award due to injuries, Lim has received numerous mythical selections and all-star appearances. A powerkeg waiting to explode in international competitions representing the Philippines, he shone his brightest against Asia's finest. He was the first recipient of the Sportsmanship Award and recently got named among the PBA's 25 Greatest. He is currently the team manager for the San Miguel Beermen.

In the PBA he routinely posted and went around bigger guys like ABE KING, PHILLIP CEZAR, AND RICKY RELOSA among others. So as far as offense is concerned Samboy Lim has no equal. Even if he played now in this era of bigger players, i think samboy will definentely make that " fil-sham" asi taulava wet his shorts whenever he sees those knee length socks coming at him. kaya sa mga younger pexers who didnt get to see how samboy moved around the court. you missed a lot !!! and i think even chuck person can attest to that.

Well technically Derick played in SBC during his 1st year but transferred to Mapua the next year since mejo di maganda grades nya at di ata sila okay ni Ato. Di rin sya nag Juniors kasi malabo un since 1st year lang sya. At nag elementary sya sa Claret hindi sa Mapua. I should know kasi classmate ko sya nun 1st yr sa San Beda...
