Dial-up lang ang gamit ko pero since last week, laging napuputol ang net connection ko. After 1 minute yata after mag-connect ako, nadi-disconnect. I am using blast. To find out if nasa provider ang mali, i tried using infocom warpspeed pero ganun pa din. Ano ba problem?Kainis talaga. Medyo yung landline namin maingay, dun kaya yun? To find out kung nanggagaling sa landline ang problem, i called PLDT 173 (repair) and sabi nung nagpunta sa amin na taga-repair, di naman daw nakaka apekto yung ingay pero sabi ng customer service ng blast, minsan daw may tendency talagang ma-disconnect pag may noise yung landline. Tiningnan ko din kung modem ang problem pero sabi nung computer, my modem is working properly naman daw.

Waaaah, what's wrong with my computer? Heeeelllppp! Win XP OS ko, tapos 38400 bps (tama ba?) naka-set yung properties ngh service provider.

TULONG!

THANKS!

pero inayos ba ng taga-repair yung noise sa phone line nyo?? kasi kung maingay yun, malamang yun yung dahilan kung bakit napuputol connection mo .. or you could try changing the cord of your phone ..

tama yung sinabi ng CS na nakausap mo .. :)

try readjusting your phone jacks or replacing them, sometimes it's the cause of the noise. line noise can really cause disconnections. if there's no noise in your line, try uninstalling and reinstalling your modem's drivers ;)

sounds veeery familiar; just in case your problem is the same one i had a year ago - do you have caller id? if yes, do you have a seperate caller id unit or is it built in your phone unit?

there was a time i couldn't go online for about a month; nothing was wrong with my phone line; nothing was wrong with my modem; nothing was wrong with my isp, nothing was wrong with my cables, my jack - as in NOTHING. turns out the culprit was our stand alone caller id unit!!! we disconnected it and voila!

felt like such a dumba$$. i even reformatted my pc thinking it was a virus/trojan/worm whatever. :/

I had the same problem years ago. The culprit: crappy lines(cables) from the phone company that was causing static or noise sa line. They replaced the cables(they were old na daw) and voila! No more disconnection.
