sa mga software, Download.com... usually binabasa ko dun yung mga reviews ng mga nakagamit na o user reviews.

when it comes to reviews/research sa isang technology/vendor and what would be their impact sa isang business or community I visit www.forrester.com

how reliable are they? very reliable, para sa akin masasabi kong standard defacto itong site na ito when it comes to reviews, research pagdating sa IT.

well, i also look at the company's background. like stocks, etc. see if the company has a good reputation to porvide something for their customers. kesa naman yung mga company na parang fly by night.

if hindi available yung reviews, i rely on my gut feeling. :D tried and failed gut feeling, kesa naman mag-rely ako sa ibang tao na nantuturo pa sa akin na mali pa.
