Err, what's the difference between paperback and softcover?

I have tons of bookmarks. The funny thing is, whenever I read a book, they mysteriously disappear.

Err, what's the difference between paperback and softcover?

paperback = pocketbooks
softcovers are a little bigger in size than the paperbacks. ..i think..

neweis, i don't own any bookmarks. i have no use for them.
all of my books are hardbound(i like them like that - they look so very nice on shelves),
so i just use the dustjacket as bookmark.

Oh, okay. I like softcovers then. I've gotten so used to reading long novels I don't read pocketbooks anymore cause I feel they're gonna be bitin.

Hardbound books are too expensive.

I use a "mental" bookmark--i memorize the page number I'm on. It doesn't always work, but it exercises my memory, plus it gives you a chance to read back if you lose your current page.

Paperbacks are cool because they're light and I like to carry at least one book with me wherever I go. But hardbound books look good on your shelf. If you have the patience to dig through Booksale stacks and those perennially on-sale items at National Bookstore, you just might find a good hardbound book at a low price. I have.

Ang hardbound mabigat na nga, mahal pa. Even though I have the money to buy one, I think I'll still stick to softcovers, or paperbacks.

I like 'em softcovers...nangangawit ako pag hardbound, they're kinda heavy...and expensive too!

I like 'em soft, paperbacks. So I can bend them this way & that. I usually have a pencil handy with me so I can underline my favorite lines or when I recognize themes that are interesting.

I'd like hardbound books for keeps though. THey last longer.

Book marks? Oh, a ton! I use everything for bookmarks actually. And like Peps, they mysteriously disappear!

Hardbound books are too expensive.

im quite frugal myself..so, my solution to this is -- BARGAIN BOOKS!!!

the bookstore chains we have around here have
quite a selection of them. plus, barnes&noble
also have a $4.99 and under section.
i've never paid full price for a book. i've always waited til they get put on bargain.
the most i've paid so far was $17.50 for 'daughter of god' on amazon.com.

bargain books at paperback prices - can't beat that.!.!.! :) :) :)

PePs, you're right there's nothing like the smell of a new book!

Actually, when I'm deciding what book to buy, I sometimes smell the book. Weird ba??? :)

well i would rather buy the hardbound books para mas protected yung libro pero cant afford eh... kaya paperback na lang... binabalutan ko na lang ng plastic cover...
