Thanks for your feedback, bunny. I believe that it was only proper that I delete the posts, because not only were they way off topic, they were also subtle insults towards another PEx member. And insults, no matter how subtle, are still insults.

Also, while some people would probably want to be informed that their posts will be deleted, none of the mods would have the time to email/icq/text the people concerned what with the number of off topic posts in PEx. I wish I had that much time on my hands. Unfortunately, I don't since I have a job and moderating is something I can only do during my free time. I hope you understand.

As a matter of fact, Ada is one of most fair and the nicest among us moderators. And contrary to what most here think, Ada asks all the moderators and administrators about which are the appropriate and inappropriate stuff before she does something. We have a private mailing list where we ask each other and vote which and isn't appropriate, and who to warn in private. Unfortunately, she is tasked with policing Pinoy Culture, the most active and one of the most undisciplined forums. It's a damned if you do and damned if you don't kind of situation.

So tell me, how did Ada become unfair?

Ada is probably the most low key, patient, fair and unassuming of the PEx moderator group. She has our full support.

Ira said it best - you can't please everyone and with well over a hundred posts daily here at Pinoy Culture (and growing)it is a tough job and Ada does what she can without any compensation. So I agree, let's cut her some slack and if you have any particular complaints, email her and she will reply promptly. If need be, she will take up these individual incidents with the rest of us.

The name of the game is netiquette. If you don't know that, then I suggest you just click on the X thingie located at the upper right hand corner of your puter screen.

i dont agree with censorship either. if you engage in a word war, im sure the other person can tussle with you in the same manner. if that other person chooses not to dignify another's attacks, then everyone will see how foolish that first person is.

HOWEVER, there are rules to follow. no one forced us to post here, and by participating, it is a given that we have agreed to abide by the policies set by the administrators. ive been posting since the first word wars...i participated in some myself, back in the days when articulatess was more important and vulgarities, while used, were still made out to be funny. the moderators have been more than understanding in allowing kanchawans and alaskahans. i am sure ada has been a witness to that coz she is one of the original posters here and as such, has seen all the verbal tussles that occurred.

the fact that some posts were deleted/edited means that you have crossed even the very loose line set by the moderators.

speak your mind, but use it too, for heaven's sake. you were told nicely to email her your complaints, but you have to rebut her in public. you say put a lid, and then on the very next line, hihiret ka pa din. make up your mind na din.
