Here's list of the top performing schools:

1 University of the Philippines - Diliman 50 49 98.00%

2 University of the Philippines - Manila 17 15 88.00%
Ateneo de Manila University – Q.C. 16 14 88.00%

3 University of the Philippines – Los Banos 50 39 78.00%

Just curious -- Where's UST? How about DLSU?

It could be that both UST and DLSU have more than 50 examinees. The 50+ category was not published in the Manila Bulletin report.

UST is having a hard time improving the passing rate. From what I know, its not just the Chemistry majors who take the exams also the Biochemistry majors from the faculty of pharmacy.

The UST Chemistry Class always gets 96 to 100% passing rate consistent,

Only the Biochem students, sabi kasi nung kakilala kong Biochem, iba kasi yung approach sa Biochem, unlike sa Chemistry talaga... But in fairness last year taga UST BIOCHEM yung number 1...wala lang yun lang!

Binulutong lang? Lies! People should start owning up to their shortcomings.

Tsambahan lang ang pumasa sa boards? So kahit sinong kumuha ng boards may chance na pumasa? Matapos paghirapan ng mga taong kumuha ng boards magreview tsambahan lang pala lahat? Come on.

Such bitterness.

Congrats to the new chemists :)

Yung top 1 graduated from MSU and the 2nd placer is from UST (I dunno if she/he is a graduate of BS Chem or BS Biochem). The 6th and 10th placer (Ding and Allan) are graduates of UP Diliman. For the nth year, UP Diliman still lords the arena of chemistry in the Philippines.

^yeah, kasi mag-isa lang siyang nagtake last year. Pls see article below from The Varsitarian:

Thomasians top Medtech, Chem board
By Lady Camille de Guia
THOMASIANS topped both the Medical Technician (Med Tech) and Chemist Licensure Examinations by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) last Sept. 4 to 7.

Both Mark Christian Pabustan (89 per cent) and Roldan De Guia (90 per cent), ranked first in the Medical Technician and Chemist Licensure exams.

Six other Thomasians entered the top 20 in the Med Tech licensure exams. Philip Antiporta (87 per cent), Christine Joy Pega (85.80 per cent), Joseph Joy Banzon (85.30 per cent), Leonardo Barnachea (84.90 per cent) placed third, seventh, eighth, and 11th, respectively. Lily Lyralin Laconico and Ma. Krisette Salazar (84.50 per cent) were tied at 15th place.

The national passing rate for the Med Tech board exam was 43.39 per cent, as 880 out of the 2,028 examinees passed.

On the other hand, De Guia, was the sole Thomasian examinee in the Chemist Licensure Examinations, where 250 out of 542 examinees (46.13 per cent) nationwide passed.

Congrats to the new chemists!
