i'm applying for a job right now, and i noticed that most of the resume' that i've seen are not that "attractive"...
need your suggestion on how to write an "effective resume'".... that would really stand out...
thank you in advance...

To stand out, what's important is the CONTENT (i.e. your awards and achievements, work experience) rather than a good layout.

don't they post sample resumes on the net? google a bit.
oh, and be sure to mention that you have an MBA degree from a foreign university.

a noticeable resume' na kahit isang tingin pa lang nila, ay they would appreciate agad. *** unique (yet noticeable) , hindi na *** mga dating resume na kinagagawian na nating sinusulat o ginagamit whenever we apply for a job.

do some research on the net or better yet invest in a good book.

first of all, it doesn't matter gano kakapal ang resume mo or ang list ng achievements mo and the companies listed...minsan nga downer pa yun kasi it's either immaterial na yung mga nakalagay (i.e. baket kasama pa ang Ms. Elementary sa resume mo?! :rotflmao: well...maliban kung lalaban ka for Bb. Pilipinas :D ) or kaduda-duda nang baket ang dami mo nang companies na pinasukan (iisipin ng potential employers kung may problema sa work ethics mo).
the trend nowadays is to automatically have a colored 1.5x1.5 pic scanned and printed in your CV.
my dad taught me that one should constantly revise one's resume according to the place/institution/organization one is applying for. if you are applying as a candidate for Bb. Pilipinas, place on top of each category experiences that give you the extra credit as a potential candidate that MUST be easily seen such as leadership, communication and beauty pageant experiences.
if you are applying for a call center, same thing, related info should be easily seen.
point? nobody would read your entire resume no matter how impressive its contents are. what we're trying to avoid is it being dumped even before the interviewer gets a chance to see that you are more than qualified for a certain job/position.
