Well, medyo matagal na akong addict eh, so medyo iba taste ko.

Personally, trip na trip ko shoujo style anime, saka mga gawa ni Hayao Miyazaki. Laputa and Kiki's Delivery Service are always fun.

Mimi o Sumaseba still takes me into a different world and gives me a WAFF (warm and fuzzy feeling) whenever I watch, or just think about it.

With most other people, I'd vote for DragonBall or Ranma 1/2. Ang daming dyan nagsimula eh.

Kung hindi mo pa napapanood Mimi O Sumaseba or any Miyazaki films, hanapin mo. It's worth it.

anyway, macross is ok. so is the street fighter anime (the best!) and also Ninja scoll, also Akira. i know most of these are movies and not series but they are the best of what i watched from Kimagure to El Hazard.

I doubt all animes are classified under "shonen" and "shoujo" only... what do they call animes like Ninja Scroll, and Ghost in the Shell?

Those are anime feature films, which have no classification. Only mangas, and thier respective anime versions, have the shonen, shoju classification. BTW, Ghost in the Shell first appeared in "Shonen Jump" as a multipart manga. It was later made into a movie.

There are other classifications, too...ecchi and hentai.

i've seen DUAL, apart from being an Evangelion clone it's a pretty good anime. the thought of parallel worlds intrigue me, namely because i've been addicted to chrono cross as of late :D

I like Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X) a lot, which currently is riding high in popularity. For an older series, Ah! (or Oh!) My Goddess is my top pick mainly because of its excellent art and character design. I like collecting images and I have no problem with AMG (I have around 1,300 images totalling around 120+ Mb), unlike with RK which has considerable fewer images.

erwin_rommel and Neurohed, the new AMG movie will be shown on October 21 in Japan. I've researched it extensively and as far as I know the new characters will include Mara, at least another demon, Peorth, another goddess which might be named Rind, and the angels of the goddesses (or at least that of Urd). About the marriage, it might be true since I have at least 2 new images of Bell in a wedding dress. You can expect some revisions in character design for the movie, judging from the collection of new art and movie screenshots I've scoured over the Net. Also, expect more action and most probably fight scenes.

Though the content is kinda intimidating for non-violent cartoon lovers, the themes are quite new and refreshing, giving us a much awaited break from the traditional pa-CUTE cartoons which supposedly carries with them a moral lesson. I'm a big fan of Cedie and Flying House pero medyo nakakasawa na kasi. Let's stop fantisizing and start teaching ourselves the reality...I mean it's better that we get exposed to all the fighting, at least (I hope) we'd pick something from them. Other cute anime serve as laugh trip time for me, I never take them seriously though. Neways, cool topic!

I have been a closet Otaku for years but only one series have held a special place in my heart: Astroboy/The Mighty Atom. 20something folks like me may feel nostalgic once they recall the adventures of this boy robot adopted by a human family, his little robot sister, and a big, bad giant named Atlas. ako din!!! nag-collect din ako ng cards. d nga lang complete. puro Sailormoon S at kaunting Sailormoon SuperS lang. my friend was able to complete it din ata. pati film collection (yung parang transparent screen shots ng episodes sa TV)

i bet those items will tend to get harder to find as time passes by... :D
