I've had two classmates or former classmates die. A friend, who was a schoolmate, died too.

One guy hung himself.

The other shot himself.

The last, died of a brain tumor. Ironic, since he had the highest IQ in the batch.

All in high school.

My classmate died when we were in fourth year. Sayang talaga, graduating na kami nun. Some insane guys stabbed him during an attempt to rob him of his things. He even got into the news.

i've two classmates who kicked the bucket already.

1. Derick Lesnick - Went snowboarding in the Colorado mountains. He went missing only to have his frozen body be discovered days later. I think he was 21.

2. Pedro Consolation - Died while being stationed at an Army base in Alabama. Cause not yet known. Died at the ripe old age of 19!

In fact if you google their names, you should see some news articles surrounding their deaths.

Ako meron nung Grade 1 kami. :( He died because he hit his head sa hagdan. Masyado kasi mabigat *** bag niya so natumba siya while climbing the stairs... He didn't die agad... umabot pa nga siya sa classroom namin eh... tpos dun siya nag vomit... he died a few days later.

when we were sophies in HS, a classmate died of heart failure.

when we were graduating students in college, my HS classmate was stabbed by 2 men for reasons we did not know.

two years after graduation, my schoolmate (also officemate) died of heart attack (according to his family) while attending a training.

Ako Grade 1...yung Top 1 namin na girl died of Leukemia..then we went sa house nila for the wake...and isa-isa pa kaming tumingin...when you're that young it's either takot ka or curious...

Batchmate who died in that freak airphilippines plane crash in samal island in davao. I think it was 2000 or 2001. Her whole family died along with her, except I think a brother who didn't join the flight.

well it didn't happen to me but to a friend of mine who's classmates died in the OZONE tragedy he was even invited to tagged along but her mom didn't give him permission lucky for him or else he would've been toast.

Morbid as it is, its a fact of life that we have to experience.
A classmate of mine from gradeschool to college died recently. Very sad and shocking as we were constantly in touch thru all these years. He was the last person i spoke with just before migrating then a month later heard about hi demise. To my friend and kumpare, RIP!

Wala pa naman. I hope na walang mamatay na kaklase ko because we're too young and we're just in our 20s.

Nakakaawa lang 'yung isang ka-batch ko noong undergraduate na namatay dahil sa hold-up. Sabi nga ng professor ko when that happened: "Living is already an accomplishment" knowing how the streets have become so dangerous for students now.

1st-->> weeks before ng final defense ng thesis nmen our adviser told us na my ka-batch kame namatay,cuz of her THESIS,over fatigue daw,on her wake nakapatong yong final paper niya sa casket nya.

I had a high school batchmate who was killed in a drug bust by law enforcement agents, and a college batchmate working for a local government agency who was assassinated by underworld characters (sindikato) who feared an expose on unsavory and corrupt practices.

There are others, of course, who have passed away due to sickness, accidents, and assorted other reasons. The list grows longer as one gets older. When you have your reunions, take time to remember your classmates who went ahead of you.

My high school classmate died during our sophomore year. She showed up during the first day of school and never came back again. She was so healthy and talkative that day! She was supposed to share with me her summer fling - she never did get to share her story.

A classmate from high school died because of sleep apnea.

Another, this time from college, died of causes unknown to me - the family and friends gave different reasons.

Wow, this thread brings back so many painful memories.

During my last semester in college, a classmate committed suicide (shot himself in the head). We had only one month left before graduation. He wasn't a close friend, but he was a friend nonetheless. It was weird seeing his empty seat in class the days following the tragedy.

About 3 years ago, one of my closest friends (one of my best friends really) from high school passed away because of lung problems. I remember receiving a text really early in the morning, telling me that my friend was dead. I don't know what possessed me to still go to class, but I remember being in such a daze that I just attended one class that day and went straight to the wake. I felt so guilty at that time because she died a few days after her birthday lang, and I was not able to visit her for her birthday. Until now, I still saved the last text she sent to me, to remember her by.

From my high school batch, there are already four casualties. Two persons from our batch committed suicide (one shot himself in the head, the other jumped off a building just a few months ago...this was reported in the news pa nga). Another girl died in the US, I think she had a seizure.

When I was in Gr. 6, one of my close friends died of dengue...It was weird looking at her peaceful form knowing that I'll never be able play games, tell jokes, have fun with her.

When I was in 2nd year highschool, a classmate died of a heart problem...Imagine climbing up the stairs to the classroom then suddenly collapsing then dying on the way to the hospital.

When I was in 3rd year college, a classmate died of electrocution, it was a real freak accident...Sayang he was really cute. So many girls cried at his funeral.

Then I also found out shortly after I graduated, one of my highschool-to-college sort of kabarkada died of a complication in her dental surgery which led to her cardiac arrest. The thing is, I made a joke when we got our graduation pics that we have something to put on our coffins. Her parents did put her graduation pic on her coffin.

Eto ba yung UPIS student who was hit inside the campus? Yung nakabundol was speeding kasi late na daw siya for her finals.

Ako naman, four high school batchmates have passed on. The first when we were in fourth year college. Put a gun in his mouth due to failing grades.

The second was a very close friend of mine. He drowned while trying to cross a swollen river in Quezon at the height of a heavy downpour.

The third died of bangungot in the States at the age of 25.

The fourth, another close friend of mine, died after his "drama" to his GF went too far. He got very drunk and had a violent argument with his GF. He went into his room and "hanged" himself with a chain noose. He thought his GF would follow him into his room and stop him. But she didn't, and the noose tightened around his neck. He died in the hospital two days later.

ako meron, once in highschool and once in college. varsity ng school yung classmate ko na namatay nung college, si Gozum (DLSU). he was complaining na masakit yung left arm nya before going to practice that day pero tinuloy pa din nya... classmate ko sya on the subject before his practice.

when we were in mcdo, may nagtext sa amin na sinugod daw si Gozum sa hospital kasi nag pass-out, then the next thing we heard was he passed away na.

yung kabatch ko nung hs (at kaklase ko nung sophie year) namatay kase tinakas nya yung auto nya tapos nag turtle spin sa may marcos hi-way.. ang masama pa nun, pinag-tripan pa ng mga classmates nya kase marami syang absences (like almost half a month for the month of november) kaya tinirikan sya ng kandila tapos yun, namatay.. kaya nakipagburol agad kame at sorry..
