What is your reaction about Oprah being snubbed by Hermes' Paris sales lady. She was allegedy not allowed to enter the store because there was an event daw. According to Oprah, she saw two white ladies shoping inside. Is this an issue of racial discrimination again? If it can happen to Oprah, it can also happen to anyone. Oprah pa man din is considered as the "female Donald Trump."

From what I heard, the Hermes shop was already closed and was being prepped for some event. Maybe the sales ladies didn't see Oprah. It's a bit unthinkable that Oprah would get snubbed.

last month pa ata to.anyway,i don't think it's about oprah per se but simply because the shop was closed as what the spokesman for hermes said.it could be that oprah thinks of herself highly that she thought she could have it opened just for her.
i don't think it's racial discrimination either, the incident happened in France, they don't treat blacks the same way(as in a bad way in the US)there.

and of course,if it happened to oprah,it will not happen to everyone else simply because not everyone can afford a HERMES.

ei napanood ko interview ni Gayle and she said that there were people shopping inside the store when they came... oprah will talk about it daw sa fall...

sabi pa niya oprah had ordered 12 birkin bags in the past for her friends and she has a 13th order but she cancelled it after the incident...

I read somewhere that it's a racial thing because the salespeople didn't recognize oprah and when they wouldn't let her enter sabi nila "we were having problems with north africans lately". and that the story about hermes having an event was bull because there were still shoppers inside.

Whether racial discrimination or just pure negligence, Hermes is still in trouble come fall... when Oprah tells all.

US and Paris are totally diff. places and have totally different cultures. racists would most likely be related to the US, esp for the black people but not in Paris. Black people over there in Europe as a whole, are actually not how black people are in the US.

let's just wait and see if the sales of Hermes would dramatically drop... but when Oprah talks everyone listens and it's not just in America...

I must say I like Oprah not for her talent but for her big heart....

I'm not implying that theres no RACISM at all..but its not as BAD as in the US. heck, theres racism everywhere. But I wouldnt say that Hermes rejected Oprah because of racism. That is so 1950's.

whether its a case of racisim or not, im pretty sure somebody from that HERMES store will get FIRED. you do not, i repeat, do not do that to people as wealthy and as influential as oprah
