How do you know which scent is good for you?

I dont get this when I go walk around and there are people all over me I can smell their perfumes or their scents, but when I use all kinds of perfumes and or body sprays I cant seem to smell it on me. What's up with that? Is there any way to find out which scent will stick to your body?

^maybe you're just immune to the smell.

That's normal, and you wouldn't want to anyway, otherwise it could mean you reek of it, and that isn't always a good thing.

The thing is that when you're exposed to a constant smell or sound for a period of time your body starts "ignoring" it.
For example, if you're trying to sleep and you have a buzzing sound in the background you'll stop hearing it, unless you focus on the sound.
The same goes for smell.
