siguro yung mga taong nagpupunta doon yung pinaka 'problema' dun sa lugar. i had a negative experience in that place. kasi noon (hindi ko alam kung until now) madaming drug addict, DOM, etc. na nanghaharass ng mga school girls. these people they to pick up innocent and decent school girls/women.
i thought it was a secure place until a drug addict tried to pick me up and take me else where. yung sa DOMs naman, they also try to comment on how a girl looks, they try to talk to you too and touch you. i think ali mall is not a safe place for a teenaged girl to be left alone. it seems to be creeping w/ bad elements.

yung target market ng ali mall ay class b and below.
i don't know how ali mall can improve it's image. but i do hope that it could have a good one. why not try to attract families to go there? para diverse yung age grp ng market mo.
maybe improving the appearance of the establishments surrounding ali mall could help too.
maybe adding new shops could help uplift the image of ali mall.

btw, i spent my entire childhood and early twenties a block away from ali mall. i used to go there almost everyday after school.

they should compete with Gateway, head on.in fact if i will go with ur suggestion, there are other malls and numerous of them in cubao, which caters to the class c market.

Anything (product, place, brand) that has been identified with the masa market will have a difficult time succeeding in a class A repositioning, especially if makeover is just cosmetic. A complete overhaul will be needed and that will be very costly. Ali Mall should find a niche market, preferably one of those it is catering to already, and focus on it.

Hmm. Is this for the PMA thing?

although mas madami ang nasa class c market kaisa sa class b and up, mas konti naman yung buying capacity nila. most likely, walang improvement in terms of profit.

hindi ba yung class c din ang market ng farmers? why would you compete w/ farmers? eh di mag-aagawan pa kayo ng customers nyan.

hindi ba gateway caters to the class b and above but that market isn't that big for two malls that are in the same area. maghihilahan ka lang din customers.

may mall na yung araneta center para sa class c and class a, kunin mo for alimall yung nasa gitna ng class a and class c. tapos saka nyo ayusin yung alimall for that market.

maganda din yung sinabi ni firestorm na ioverhaul yung alimall. para maging competitive sya sa ibang malls.

ano bang meron ang alimall ng wala sa farmers at gateway? or anong unique sa alimall na wala sa ibang malls? bakit kami pupunta sa alimall, kung generic mall lang sya? try to answer those questions to see what alimall is currently offering to its' customers.

ano bang vision nyo for alimall? maybe you could get some of the answers to your questions by creating a vision mission and goal for alimall.

vision_of_love, noon hindi pa ako aware na pick upan ang alimall kasi 12y/o lang ako noon. medyo later part na ng college life ko nalaman na ganun pala yung lugar dun.
sana nga mawala na yung mga negative elements dun, coz those negative experience can cause alot of trauma to anyone. i know someone that was kissed by a stranger while she was in there, and another one whose breast were touched by also a stranger (she was wearing her sch uniform at that time). on my part, someone tried to take me to another place by force. all those insidents happened inside the said mall when we were hs students.

what's wrong w/ alimall?
-- nagiging lugar sya for pick up boys/girls..

one thing that has stopped me from going to ali mall is because it seems not well-maintained. of course, i have heard of numerous rumors that it is not safe to shop there. i am the type pa naman who would go to any mall just to check it out --- but with ali mall, i do not even dare to try and go in. i simply go to sm, shopwise and gateway.
