why do people take glutathione ba? to suppress melanin formation - para pumuti sila? kakaaliw naman, risking their health all in the name of vanity. i'd think twice before i take mega doses of a health supplement whose efficacy has yet to be studied and proven. i dread the side effects. perhaps this is the reason why the japanese, who invented the whitening category in skincare, have yet to buy into this so-called "wonder drug". if i were born with a natural tan, i'd just make sure that my skin radiates a healthy glow. that would be enough. if i wanted my face to appear fairer, i'd look into shiseido's whitess whitess range of products. or estee lauder's. gong xi fa cai! *okay*

Actually, Ms. Jo, the Japanese do take Glutathione, or one of it's precursor. L-Cysteine capsules are very big in Japan. Even big name japanese brands such as Kanebo and Shiseido have their L-Cysteine tabs...However, they are marketed more for their onti-oxidant and skin brightening qualities..

Anyway, I think Shiseido's L-Cysteine tabs are pretty good! They dont exactly make you fairer but you can notice the glow or "brightening" effect it has on your skin! Also the new line of L-Cysteine are now paired of with Coenzyme Q10..

Ok, I didn't know L-Cysteine is actually based on glutathione. I think even FANCL has it. But yes, hindi whitening ang positioning. And the bigger brands, such as Shiseido, don't sell those oral supplements in Singapore (given the strict guidelines by the MOH about product claims - even Q10 took a while to be approved for sale) and even HK, I think. I'll have to check the next time I visit the SAR.

hi! if you want to buy gluthation its safer to buy the ones from hbc since they already have BFAD approval to sell the products. kso it's 250 mg/capsule. ang pinakamagandang dosage daw for this is 100 mg.

nothing wrong with that... some people do say that glutha works... one doctor for example told me that it would help, there are even injectible ones which are more effective daw.... i'm not selling glutha by the way :)

i'm not a gluta user but i think GNC has 50mg tabs (just saw it kanina when i was looking for one a day weight smart :) ) .. i think you can use it as your maintenance. kahit every other day than not taking anything for 2 months, babalik daw color eh :)

I am a glutathione user, i use the brand of met tathione with 500mg of glutathione, 3 times a day together with 1000mg of vitamin C for 2 months now. I am fair to begin with but it made my skin visibly lighter by 2-3 shades more. It is pretty expensive though mga 7k a month pero talagang effective. I used to take Optimale Glutathione, cystina C and now Hythiol-C Premiere which my friend from Japan gave me...So far pinaka effective & faster ang result ng Hythiol-C.
I bought the gluta-injectable @ Magic Potion located in Goldcrest, Makati....way cheaper than getting shots from Derma clinics yun nga lang you have to find somebody to inject you with it. What type of L Glutathione preparations must be AVOIDED?

• Goat/Sheep Placenta Extract:

• Vitamin A and E (of high dosage)~Of course there s nothing wrong with these vitamins but you should consider that skin whitening pills will take you months and months of daily-dose regimen. Fat Soluble vitamins are metabolized and hydrolyzed in the liver. This is the reason why doctors advise their patients to rest their liver after at least a month of taking fat-soluble vitamins.

I'm also taking gluta the lucida brand from mercury drug 1500php 30 capsules 500mg once a day. w/ vit.c na yun pero i take additional 500mg w/c helps to absorb the gluta daw. it's not true na nakakabaog yun kasi i was taking 250mg a yr ago tapos i stopped then got preggers. i didn't take it while i was pregnant. tapos now i do na kasi di na ko nag-b-bfeed. nakakaputi nga sya and parang may glow. pero after 1 month's use nagkaka-breakouts ako. don't know if it's bec of it kasi kahit naman di ako nag-t-take nagkaka-breakouts ako once a month. pero parang feeling ko lang mas dumadami pag nag-g-gluta. pero not sure din. cannot confirm eh. i stop aft 1 mo pa derma muna ko tapos take nlg ulit after. medyo pricey din kasi. my derma offers injectibles pero ayaw ko i-try :) tsaka yung puti bumabalik nga rin sa dati. so temporary lang tlg ang effect. tine-take ko lang pag may upcoming event para fabulous ako kahit alang make-up hehe.

am on my 5th bottle of gluta. the 4 bottles, 2 of which was optimale,the other 2 was gluta cress that i bought from my derma. since i bought them at 2,000php per bottle i bought my fifth at watsons it's lucida ds and it's only 1,500php. all of which i take with 500mg of vitC. I was maputi na before i just take gluta for antioxidant purposes primarily coz am a smoker pero gusto ko din pumantay yung kulay ko. i've seen improvements on my skin, it got fairer and mas pumuti pa ako, plus i use kojik soap. maganda kasi pag pantay ang color ng skin diba. ang side effects talaga ng gluta ay yung pagputi.

i am a user of glutathione and it' s my fourth bottle na.. so for so good. i use CB advance formula. hindi pa naman ako pumuputi as in but naglighten na yung skin color ko plus mas smooth yung skin ko. sabi nila at least 6 months ka magstick sa 1 brand para malaman mo if effective sya **** sayo. Very gradual ang whitening.. nakakainip but kelangan **** ng patience. I just want na pantay yung kulay ko all over my body.
