Fashion Mistakes

Been there, done that. What fashion crimes did you commit? Like, you wore this thing and later, you realized it doesn't look very good on you, or you matched these two clothes, thinking they look good, but you realized later on that it's a bad combination?

I'll share first. One time, long ago, I wore this white babydoll top and a white skirt w/ floral appliques and white sandals, with a blue handbag. I thought it looked cool, but it looked somewhat weird. Good thing I wasn't going anywhere major. Now I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that outfit again. It's not that they are horrible clothes, but they just looked horrible matched with each other. Man!

Ako rin... though it's not a fashion mistake, I wore pink jogging pants and a white sporty shirt at tinitignan ako ng mga people. Prollie 'cause you don't see a girl in pink jogging pants on the streets everyday. My friends called me the Sugar Plum Fairy in Sports Attire tuloy. Gah.

the time when my mom still decides on what im gonna wear...deym, i look like a fashion disaster.. im mortified everytime i see pictures of myself wearing those tapered jeans and mommyish blouses :vomit:

one time nagsuot ako sleeveless blouse papasok sa school.
tapos pinatungan ko siya ng may kakapalang jacket.. okay lang naman kasi umuulan.. kaso biglang umaraw! sh*t! hindi ko mahubad yung jacket kasi bawal sa school mag-sleeveless! :mecry:

I used to date a cute ABC-HK chick who dresses up neatly. Then she showed up one time with a flashy "reflective" shirt that looks like purple aluminium and a pair of jeans with chromed chain-mail as back pockets. After that, I tagged her as sparkle butt and never called her again - ever. :glee: Come to think of it, if my car breaks down, I'll just use her as an EWD. :rotflmao:

I'm guilty of this. :D During elementary days, I'd wear my pair of Birkenstock sandals with socks on. I hate seeing childhood pics of me in Birks with socks on. I look so blah.

Oh yeah, the elephant pants craze was such a fashion faux pas. I had a pair of elephant pants during the time a lot of people were into it... And thank God I only wore it once! I'd probably feel so ashame today if I wore my pair of elephant pants back then more than once. :D

Question lang regarding this topic, medyo OT in a way: may fashion mistake b ****? kasi if you're comfy in what you're wearing tapos sasabhin ng iba na fashion mistake yun or baduy etc, will you really stop on wearing that? Ako dati ganun, but I realized na what's impt is comfy clothes ko and I shouldnt mind what other people are thinking. Siguro kelangan gawin specific yun "fashion mistake", like for example, occasion is a debut, tapos biglang mag pambahay clothes ka, yun tipong ganun.

These days, I can't stand looking at girls who wear bolero (parang bitin na jacket) over a t-shirt. Sheesh. Kung ano nga naman ang mauso...
