the question is whether she is a philippine passport holder which is a requisite in entering binibini. marami na ang issues sa citizenship kasi e like the case of janelle bautista in 1999, tisha silang in 1998, and yes...anjanette abayari in 1991. binibini has opened its doors for dual citizenship but the thing is the girl must possess philippine passport. isabel roces is okay and yes she is always hyped since 2002 that she is joining the said contest but eventually she doesn't.

actually phoemela barranda competed in Elite Look of the Year in 1995 where she emerged 2nd Runner Up along with Chriscel Agudo of Cal carries. The Elite Look of the Year was handled before by BPCI or the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (The same group that manages the Binibini pageant).

they say that in binibining pilipinas kailangan matalino...well, that's part of it. the other thing is you must have connections.

Is there a possibility that she will be competing...hmmm...we'll see.

well, actually there are a lot of beautiful women in the Philippines and some of them embark their journey of being selected as a binibini candidate afterwards they join showbusiness or they indulge in modeling. It could also happen that most of our Philippine actresses join Binibini to add publicity to their career like Joanne Quintas and Ruffa Gutierrez. It's either they make it or they break it.

while some of the filipinas have the face ... it is but important not only to look at that aspect alone but the whole packaging as well. the confidence and the walk. the gracefullness and the elegance to carry a dress. the smile and the way they project on camera. and yes the way they could answer questions (of the press and of simple get-to-know-you).

besides it's part of our culture.
