I went to Banahaw. Great experience. The place is beautiful. And the people there are great. We met some sick people, and we saw how the faith healers prayed over these people. We also met Suprema - she's a great woman. :)

I'm a sophmore, but I ad an (not *the*) immersion last year with my INTAC class. We were taken to a remote place (Sta. Rosa? Sta. R something) in Bulacan. There were two clans there: TIMUFAI and SASAMAG, alliances of farmers who have worked on the land for generations of which the big guns are now claiming.

It was a fun and great experience. We found out how they lived, their problems, how they dealt with it, and the like.

It's amazing to know the difference with what we need and what we want. :)

A close friend of mine got malaria from his immersion in Gabaldon, a few years ago. His teacher, Fr. Gorospe, didn't excuse his absences despite being in the hospital for weeks -- ouch.
