what a pity to even ask that question trickdadi [LB]...yes, we still do care about the country and are in fact working to promote student activism that had once produced the best leaders this country had ever seen. however, there are only a few of us. given the liberal setting of UP, i'd be confident to assume that a lot of students there continue to fight for the rights of Filipinos and the oppressed. you'd be surprised that in De La Salle, student activism is so alive, thanks to the abusive administration for giving us students the reasons to contest their authority and prove that we are not idiots the way they think we are.

And how is this related to his post? I believe it is you who should refrain from posting such, since you do not in any way contribute to the topic. At least Cronides offered his view on this.
As for me, I believe many still do care about the government and the country, which is why some have gone into politics, economics, and other courses. This is obvious in some instances when schools hold protests, rallies, and other forms of activism in various parts of the year.

some state colleges and universities are for mer neglected. kaya we cannot blame that some college students do not care about the government since they themselves are not cared by the government. http://www.pinoyexchange.com/grrr.gif

They do not care unless governement laws directly apply to them in a very concrete manner. Otherwise go on with your life. :-)
