Well, mine hindi.. it all depends on the kind of music. I love slow, classic and love songs if I study..otherwise, no music at all. :)

I can't study kapag trends and fast musics.

Why do you ask? you have problems studying while listening to music? if you do, then turn off your radio.. joke lang.. he he he

of course. it's somewhat like the 'mood setter.'

listening to music doesn't really affect my studying that much. i usually just sing along if a really nice song is playing. but the reason i like listening to music while studying is because it keeps me awake.

there have been several studies about the effects of listening to music while studying: most of the studies show that there is a significant correlation between memory retention and listening to music (i.e. classical) while studying.

there was no concrete psychological explanation to this but several researchers gave their own theories:

i) that classical music, or any other music that has subtle harmony and mild tone, triggers certain nerve cells thus enabling better memory retention.

ii) relational memory, this theory attempts to explain that music can enhance relational memory - relating one's memory to certain notes or chords

iii) the most obvious theory is that music, esp. classical music, relaxes the mind which provides enhanced focus to the brain for memorizing

me? i need silence....

listening to music is purely psycological. :D
