Chinese schools are better than the other schools because they train their students to have discipline and most chinese schools have a rigorous academic program. medyo lang napapansin ko dun sa mga di nag aral sa chinese schools ay karamihan tamad (based on my college experience.) All they do is go out and gimik and have fun! kulang sa disiplina! PEACE!

point 1: are you generalizing? you know what, this is a very sensitive topic among chinese and filipino friends of mine so i suggest you be careful with what you say and post in this thread. kung hindi, marami kang makakaaway.
point 2: napaka-limited naman yata ng basis mo para i-compare ang products of chinese and non-chinese schools kung college experience lang ang pagbabasehan mo...and to say na "karamihan sa kanila tamad and kulang sa disiplina" is very much unfair...i suggest you go out and join organizations where you'd be given the chance to interact with a lot of students who come from non-chinese schools. marami kang matututunan sa kanila.
point 3: i'm a product of a chinese school myself. i come from UNO high school. one of the things i noticed when i went to college was how SERIOUS we UNEANS had been trained when it comes to putting value to education. walang social life. of course, the training worked for me and some of my classmates. yun nga lang, napansin ko na yung iba kong kaklase in college, they can afford to have some fun and still pass the term and get good grades. so what does that imply? nasa estudyante pa rin yon...wala sa training ng eskwelahan. kaya again, ingat ka sa generalizations mo :)

Hmm... Chinese schools and other schools? "Other" schools?
Let me subdivide "Others":
- Public Schools
- Private (non-Chinese) schools
- Public Specialized schools (Science High Schools)
- Private Specialized Schools
Are you compressing all these under "Others"?
Personally, I find Science High Schools as one of the best schools in the country.

that is way too unfair and narrowminded. pataasan ba ito ng ihi? i've seen ppl from chinese schools who are way too lazy. some of them only think about where they are going to gimick after school! don't give me that chinese schools breed more diligent students thing! and besides, lahat ng schools merong discipline na iniinstill! nasa student na yun kung paano nya gagamitin pag labas nya ng high schools.
fyi, i'm from a chinese school. baka sabihin mong i don't know what i'm talking about. and if the students from palaso's school don't have a social life sa kaka aral, mas lalo na sa amin.

Lan nang... bakit ka naman nag-gegeneralize ng ganyan? Please take care in composing your messages..tapos you think by adding "PEACE!" it's gonna make it alright?Mukhang marami kang makaka-away. good luck!
A lot of Chinese schools put too much emphasis on the scholastic side, and totally ignore the development of their students' psychological, socio-civic, and emotional side. Ang sisipag mag-aral, ang papangit naman ng ugali. I'd rather my future kids go to a school which emphasizes the development of their total being rather than just one aspect.
And yes, I went to a Filipino-Chinese school.
