Hi! What books would you recommend para magprepare sa Phil board exam ng medicine? Gusto ko sanang magbasa-basa this summer... Ano bang books ang ok for the following subjects:

Gross Anatomy
Histology
Physio
Biochem

for anatomy i recommend yun snell, yung handbook. for physio, basahin mo na lang yun BRS series. Biochem, okay na yung digging up the bones, okay ito if you have a good grasp of the subject pero kung hindi, basahin mo muna lippincott. A good advice though, keep a schedule and stick to it. better kung may study group ka. good luck

anatomy - MRS and lansang notes
biochem - digging up
micro - okay na yung MRS
physio - BRS series
legal med - old exams and handouts
pathology - BRS, baby robbins, eto medyo mahirap mga tanong dito
pharma - i used this book basic concepts in pharma which can be found in natl bookstore, small book lang siya pero sobrang helpful, you can also used katzung na test n questions
surgery - NMS daw pero i still dont know where they got the questions, sobrang hirap
medicine - NMS, concentrate on rheumatology, gastro and immuno
ob gyne - i just studied old exams
pedia - if you have time read daw on first 10 chapters of del mundo, one of the toughest subject, youll never know kung alin ang lalabas
prev med - ue notes

well thats it. I hope this can be of help. gud luck. kaya mo yan.

Here's what I used:
anatomy - Snell reviewer
biochem - Lippincott
micro - Jawetz
physio - Ganong
legal med - old exams and handouts, UPEC questions
pathology - baby Robbins, BRS
pharma - Katzung, Lippincott
surgery - baby Schwartz, Surgical Recall (pag si Joram pa rin yung examiner, dito niya karamihan kinukuha yung tanong)
medicine - NMS
ob gyne - NMS
pedia - Nelson
prev med - old notes, NMS

It would also help if you know who are the examiners on each subject.

how good are the following books:

Compton for Pathology, and Digging Up the Bones for Biochem?

curious lang coz my cuz mentioned these to me.

Ok yung Digging Up The Bones kung babasahin mo siya few days before the exam pero dapat nabasa mo muna yung text like Lipincott or Harper's bago ito yung basahin mo.

^^ if you're referring to those photocopied books, wala na *** mga un sa asturias. 2-3 summers ago na-raid sila ng NBI.

i have a no nung girl na nagdedeliver ng photocopy nung books.
