I have long and dry hair.... i dont want to cut it short...just to maintain it and bring back life to it... Can you recommend any treatment that can be done at home? Aside from regular hot oil treatments, I want to do something naman at home. Effective ba yung st. ive's mud miracle treatment? st.ives hot oil treatment... or can you recommend other hair products?

try mo using virgin coconut oil then balutan mo ng cling wrap. good talaga for dry hair...and VCO eh maraming gamit diba?...others naglalagay ng VCO sa hair at bedtime and rinse it in the morning...

i think you can use mayonnaise as well to treat dry hair. :)

kung high-end products hanap nyo, try visiting David's or Going Straight Salon. ask for L'oreal hair care home products.

kung affordable solutions naman, i recommend you going sa HBC outlet. Lots of cost-effective professional products na pdeng gamitin at home. I like the Hair Spa and Henna Wax. For the price, it can't be beaten. Works better than profix deep treatment, splash keratin hot oil, wella kolestral. Shine moist products are great too. I like the ionic moisturizing treatment. Smells great din. Hanapin nyo yan sa hortaleza outlets.

Coconut Oil is a time tested remedy for dry hair. From my experience, you won't notice IMMEDIATE results, but use it every week and later on you'll notice (and other people will too) that your hair is healthier and softer. Not to mention your scalp too.

My favorite home treatment is KERASTASE MASQUE (?) - - it's the cream-mask that comes in an orange container. It is a bit pricey, but it's worth less than going to the salon for treatment every week :D Treatment with this product shows IMMEDIATE resuts (at least it did for me) What I did with my long, dry hair was - - I treated my hair/scalp with coconut oil one weekend, then kerastase the next weekend. My hair is pretty healthy now :)

But if your hair is VERY VERY dry, I suggest you have it treated in the salon for about a month siguro (2x a month for a month) - - then maintain it with coconut oil and kerastase after that. Daily conditionioning also helps, as well as changing your shampoo every so often (to avoid buildup)...It's also good if you shampoo your hair with baby shampoo or the Neutrogena Shampoo once a week to get rid of product build up :)

i tried using the st. ives mud miracle treatment about 4x and it didn't work that well. granted my hair smelled good (minty) but when my hair dried, it was still dry.

then i bought this small jar of wella emulsion and tried it on. the instructions say that mas maganda if you use a steamer with it, but since i don't have one, i opted to use a shower cap (20 mins pag shower cap, 15 mins lang if using a steamer). i've used it 3x na and my hair has become soft and less frizzy.

my hair is long (falls just below my shoulders), thick and has natural waves. when i used the wella product, it was noticeably more manageable and soft. i use it 2x a week and then intensive conditioning right after tapos i use conditioner everyday. great results! :)

dry hair can be a result of an unhealthy lifestyle (meaning bad diet or wrong food intake and lack of vitamins in the body)... so i suggest that you take vit. C and E

For products that you can apply on your hair... I highly recommend Kerastase Oleo (yellow-orangy jar)

*you may also buy the Kerastase pink jar but that is specializing on how to bring back the vibrance of color treated hair :) so the yellow-orangy jar is a better option :)

It would be better if you use light shampoos and follow it up with a conditioner. If you want to style your hair (do not forget the anti-frizz serum) ;)
