All 3 are very good schools for Computer Science. Even if you choose any of the 3 schools you wont be wrong. If you want na makatipid then go to UP. Ateneo and DLSU are somewhat expensive. La Salle is best if you want to major in softtech.

DLSU IMO kapag Computer Science. Talagang recongnize na sila in that field. Not to mention good equipments and facilities which will be very important in such course.

Ateneo is the best in computer science. That's why the Ateneo is widely acknowledged as the "Harvard, MIT and Oxbridge" of the Philippines.
Just look at the numerous intercollegiate competitions involving computer science students. No match ang competition when compared to Ateneo. Almost always dominated by Ateneans. Best and brightest kasi.

bakit kasama sa option ang lasalle?
maganda nga ang program nila, ang bobobo naman ng classmates mo, wala din! ahaha

^^ that's true!!! thomasians should be escrape from the earth's surface!
and please do not include lasalle in options, nakakahiya na i-level ang iskul-bukol na yun sa THE ATENEO DE MANILA UNIVERSITY! NOW PAASCU LEVEL FOUR.
One big fight!

Com Sci in Up and La Salle are both good.

UP and La Salle nga pag comsci.
pwede na rin ang Ateneo and UA&P if you did not pass in either UP or La Salle.

In Computer Science, Ateneo is the best. That's why it's called "The Harvard and MIT of the Philippines." Just look at the competitions in Computer Science. They are almost always dominated by Ateneans. That's because they are the best and brightest.
If you fail to get accepted in Ateneo, you can always try UP or DLSU. They're not bad naman. Just not as good as the Ateneo. But if you want to live, I suggest you avoid Diliman and Taft. Uso kasi ang kidnappings, stabbings, rapes and robberies doon. :spinstar:
Seriously, Ateneo's main competitors in computer science are foreign universities, not Philippine universities. Ateneo is head and shoulders above the rest in the local scene.
Just look at this very impressive list.

my brother took up CS in the ateneo, but he shifted out kasi sabi daw ng counselor sa ateneo na dapat nag la salle nalang siya coz companies prefer graduates from la salle. ang pagturo daw kasi sa ateneo is more theoretical, compared to hands-on training from la salle.

I am more of a Lasallian than an Atenean, having spent my grade school, high school and first year in college in La Salle. I even took CS in DLSU during my first year but I decided to transfer to Ateneo during my sophomore year. I was an honor student in DLSU during the 3 trimesters in my freshman year priot to moving to Loyola.
In my opinion, Ateneo's CS is better than DLSU's. There is simply no comparison if you factor in: the quality of the students (the students in Ateneo are much brighter), the higher admission and academic standards, the school environment (eg better teacher-student ratio, more conducive to learning, peaceful surroundings), the overall quality of the teachers and professors, the program itself (Ateneo's program is more holistic, in-depth and stringent; DLSU has more subjects but the coverage is shallow in most cases), etc.

choose Ateneo, win or loose. ;)

third-rate schools are ok. you should avoid ateneo, a fourth-rate school....no, make it fifth-rate.

Ateneo's cs is better than dlsu's. No point of comparison. We're simply the best!
win or loose, it's the school we choose!
Marami nang awards ang mga cs people na galing ateneo. And I'm very proud of this!
Go Ateneo, one big fight!

i think all three schools are very good in computer science. but if you are a masochist and you want things the hard way, i suggest you enter up diliman. the program there is highy mathematical (math 17, 53, 54, 55 + 2 math-oriented CS subjs + statistics).
if you are in up diliman you have every reason to be proud of being a comp sci major. to begin with, the online confirmation for freshmen was created by people from DCS. so are the online pre-enlistment, (CRS), SRS, and FIS (faculty information system) . even the online classes called the UVLE was programmed mainly by CS majors. right now, people at the computer center are preparing the university's own library information system because UP would like to stop using proprietary software.

according to Thomas, the guy's not a thomasian.
very smart. it's probably an atenean, upian and even a lasallian hoisting up that ust banner in a dlsu vs ust game
What's the big deal about the poster?!
For all we know, maybe the poor guy is just a bystander who is a big fan of UST - with the free entrance in the RMC.

my 2 cents.
